YWUiaD: a Quick & Simple D&D Adventure!

One day you're living your regular life. It may not have been an easy or comfortable life, but it was familiar, and you had no reason to expect it to change between sleeping and waking.

You Woke Up in a Dungeon. You don't know how or why it happened, but one thing's for sure: you can't stay here. The piles of bones that serve as your cellmates attest to that. Only once you break out of your cell does it become clear that you have become a part of a world where all the rules have changed.

You Woke Up in a Dungeon is an attempt at an old-school Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 experience by a DM who has maybe actually played D&D once. While I am very familiar with the rules and have received near-universal praise for my GMing, I have little practical experience. This game is meant to serve as a quick snack or appetizer to keep me active between my more "serious" games. As such I will be attempting to pare down my usual distinctive style to a story- and writing-light experience while still attempting a high level of worldbuilding. If you're looking for a responsive game where getting a post out every day or two is more important than paragraphs of text, this could be the one for you!

Beep boop bump! We almost-definitely have a shugenja and a... uh... ardent? Yeah, ardent, the psionic class with the mantles and heavy armor. If we can get a Spellthief in here to cover our arcane and skillmonkey needs simultaneously that'd be pretty sweet (I've always wanted to see a Spellthief)! But failing that I guess I'd take a sorcerer or rogue or basically anything else... I guess... if I had to. I'm not sure our shugenja is actually capable of healing like most divine classes are usually expected to, either (EDIT: he totes can, yo, so I guess that role's taken).

Basically, there's a lot still on the table! There's a lot of classes I've never seen used, so do something interesting and your odds are higher! Higher to Wake Up in a Dungeon that is, filled with lava and magic and technology and orcs guarding chests in ten-by-ten rooms!

Running recruitment through to the end of the month. To reiterate we have an Ardent, a psionic primary manifester, and a Shugenja, a divine primary caster. We need a trapper of some type, and a forth to round out the ranks (arcane? warrior? surprise me). I've decided I will give preference to non-core classes, but I'll consider most anything with a quality write-up. Hope to hear from you!
