The world of Voheen has been ruled over by dragons for centuries, but in the last two hundred years their power has started to fade. The once plentiful dragons have been slowly dying off or choosing to leave to other planes before succumbing to such an end. A few scholarly dragons stay to study and document this phenomena, but those few are rare.

Though this is a bitter twilight for the dragons, it is a new dawn for the other beings of Voheen. Magics of all types were controlled tightly by the dragons, limiting access to much in the way of knowledge. Now magic-users, priests and scholars across the land experience a magical renaissance as unknown magics are discovered and items once lost to time emerge once more.
