Dreams. The very nature of them often alludes the very person having them in the moment. A realm of possibility, but also of fear. How can you fight that which truly cuts at the depths of your soul?

Sleep is when man is most defenseless, and is the time where light is dimmest. Shadows exist not where light is lacking, but in the very corners of the mind. It is here where the depths of the mind are made real to the individual, and where fear becomes most tangible. As a child, we are told not to fear the dark, to not fear our dreams. It is here that we find reason to fear the most.

Mankind has always feared the darkness, since the dawn of our existence. Some say the innate fear of the dark was our survival instinct protecting us from predators in the shadows. An evolutionary development to save us from animals that would eat us as if we were defenseless prey. In modern times, that fear is merely a leftover most often encountered in childhood. But what if it's not the predator that we fear in the darkness? What if it's not fangs we see in the shadows.



We find ourselves Draylin, Washington, a medium sized city of about 20,000 people but still with a small town feel. As the view pans down, we come to the Moldren Forest, where a circle of stones rests. Sticks connect various stones in the shape of a dream catcher, and within the confines of the circle are 6 candles, each lit. As the moonlight pears through the branches, we hear a sharp cry ring in the night, the voice of a young woman screaming out to deaf ears of the sleeping. As the camera pans from the circle, blood flicks across screen and coats the leaves and bark of nearby trees.

Dreams.

You awake the next morning, your dream still vivid in your mind, as if you lived it that very night. You recall every detail, the cool breeze of the night, the metallic tinge in the air of fresh blood, the scream of a poor girl dying in the shadows. It's all too real to you. And that is when the fear sets in. Was it real? Or was it just a dream?

This will be a horror game accepting between 4-6 players. As this is an adult game, I am looking for mature writers who are willing to explore the dark side of the human mind and fight their fears, quite literally. This game will not be shying away from adult material, so if you are particularly squeamish with violence or against exploring the means with which people deal with fear.
