Animorphs: New Resistance
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to soar on the wings of an eagle? Swim as a fish below the sea? Burrow through the dirt as an earthworm? And protect the earth from aliens while doing so? Well now is your chance.
Animorphs: New Resistance is a game based on the Animorphs book series by K. A. Applegate. A passing understanding of the series is recommended, but not strictly required. I can help people refresh their memory too, if needed. We will use a modified version of the Dungeon World rules system to help power our adventure. It is a system I am familiar with, and a system that is quick and free to learn for anyone who hasn't used it before.
This game will revolve around a group of morph-capable individuals secretly trying to protect Earth from both alien threats and more mundane dangers. We can decide as a group if we want this to be an alternate reality that takes place during the same stage of the invasion as the books did (but in modern times), or if it takes place after the invasion was thwarted and the party deals with problems that have arisen afterward.
