1693... The Salem Witch Trials ended.
History recounts that the Salem Witch Trials ended with the sudden release through reversal of charges, or proclamation of innocence of the remaining "witches" held in prison. With that the Salem Witch Trials ended except for the enduring legacy- or at least that is what mortals believe.
1694... The Winde was created.
There were witches in Salem. Real witches. Not the kind hung by the neck or thrown in lakes, no real witches are harder to kill than that. Those who died in Salem were for the most part, mortals, but the whole hysteria of the witch trials was started by a few reckless witches- showing off or misbehaving.
The Council was created. Twelve of the strongest of the magical kind joined together- forgetting old family rivalries to discuss the matter. It was decided that a series of rules would be created to keep magic a secret from the obviously irrational mortals. Those who didn't follow those rules would be "Put away" to a plain known as "The Winde."
YOU HAVE BEEN SENT TO THE WINDE:
It has been 324 years since the Winde was created. Are you a magician that has been sent for disrespecting the Twelve Laws? Are you a familiar that has been tossed there by a frustrated Wizard or Witch? Are you a mortal with very bad luck? Are you a low level demi god, a demon, or an angel- banished, exorcised, or fallen? Innocent or Guilty, whatever the case- you have been sent to a box with no key.
The Winde is a Sandbox Freeform. Generally this is a Small Town scenario with a few twists. (See the information within game) For this game there will not be a core plot. I will possibly create side plots through character that you are able to join or ignore as you wish. However, players in Sandbox style Freeform are encouraged to work with other players in order to create their own stories.
