In 2019, the city is divided into seemingly two ways, small pockets of gated communities where the wealthy are able to live far away from the stressful day to day struggles of the common american, egged by the new Project Vertigo company that has been working with the Detroit Mayor to gentrify and renovate the city.

In these pockets of decadence, people live like it's the height of 1980s decadence says that's become the newest fashion. Elsewhere away from the wealth and corruption, the poor scrap by managing to scavenge less and less of a living from the city seemingly each night.
