In the ancient realm of Ograpog, locals recount a grim tale of three malevolent witches discovered practicing dark sorcery. Following a trial led by King Amemnus himself, the trio met their demise, submerged beneath the rising tide. However, their final breath unleashed a sinister curse that submerged Caribdus beneath fifty fathoms of water. Alongside this cataclysmic event, the tumultuous waters birthed ancient deities, giving rise to chaos across the lands.
In the wake of these supernatural occurrences, vessels from an alternate dimension emerged through the ethereal mists, arriving at the newly submerged "Thousand Isles." These seafaring visitors, reminiscent of the age of piracy, embody daring corsairs, bloodthirsty buccaneers, and savage sea dogs. As they navigate this transformed world, they find themselves in the company of peculiar inhabitants, including crab-like scurillians, massive grael, lonely doreen, mysterious kraken, cruel kehana, and the nearly human masaquani.
While some view these interdimensional visitors as saviors destined to confront the malevolent Sea Hags and rescue Caribdus, the majority appear driven by the primal desire to plunder the sunken realm for the forgotten treasures concealed in its watery depths. Amidst the unfolding saga of magic, curses, and legendary beings, the fate of Caribdus remains intricately intertwined with the clash between the forces of good and the ancient gods wreaking havoc upon the once-peaceful lands.

Eldritch Tides will feature rich stories of the 50 Fathoms core content along with some new original content that features more horror ridden tales. Players can follow the original players guide for ideas of types of characters and there will be tweaks to the story but if you are a new player. You are free to join the crew as you are thrown into this adventure.
