Re: Chapter

He seems neither concerned with entering the building nor staying out, but he comtinues the recent trend of being more talkative than usual. "Maybe we should wait until they come to us and just have your gem keep an eye on them, along with anything Stefan can summon. Actually.. This would be a good time for me to summon a familiar.. So by tomorrow we could have a good scouting party. And speaking of party.. there is one waiting for us at the inn."

Re: Chapter

"So I'm a little confused, is Ezran working with them? Or is she a prisoner?" Obviously she was missing part of the story here. "Either way you are right. It would probably be stupid to try anything now. That woman wiped the floor with us last time we met. If she has friends we'd be sure to loose."

Re: Chapter

Stefan: Raina gives a pleasant laugh at your words and pats your cheek, her incredible beauty even more apparent as she smiles. Well with a reaction like that I'd say I officially get to win any future arguments we may have she chuckles. It wasn't my intent to make you feel guilty dear man, I apologize. Her smile fades. But please don't feel badly. I knew the risks then as I know them now. I never really fit well in that life anyway and I have lived long enough as it is. I appreciate your cooperation though and I will take you up on it. My father has put a bounty on you and your friend. Every undead creature, every dark thing within a hundred mile radius will seek you. I need to get you both warded. The issue is, we will need some things that aren't easy to come by.

Everyone else: Halek and Loden both look deeply saddened by the news she is unrescuable at the present time. Jett is still somewhere in town and considering his  history with Ezran, he likely won't be pleased at this outcome either. Perhaps we can set your fellow to keep watch for when she leaves again? Loden offers hopefully. I'm sure at some point she will be alone and then perhaps we can take her together, though waiting for Prizzard's familiar is not a bad idea. If she's anything as powerful as I was in my possessed state, we will have our hands full. She's been possessed far longer than I was too, it's hold on her will be difficult to break. He turns to Tanzy. Her soul is held prisoner and her body is theirs, overtaken by a dark force, much like Stefan experienced. Do you still have the exorcism tools from that priest?

"Besides, it would be unwise to make a major move while split up. We could more easily be overpowered and if we were forced to flee we would leave the others behind. Also, the summoning ritual for a familiar is a full twenty-four hour problem. I have a feeling we won't be here that long."

"Well Raina, what do we need to get?"  the druid asked, getting down to business, so as to help himself, Raknesh and Raina.

Re: Chapter

Odd as it is, Fin actually brightens up a little when the conversation steers towards exorcism. Looking at Halek, "so we have the means to fix me. I need not worry so much as long as you know when the time is right."

Re: Chapter

"I do have them," Tanzy answered surprised that they would be used again so soon. Apparently being possessed was a common risk for these guys. She shuddered remembering how hard it was to free Stephan and hoped she'd never have to experience it first hand.

Re: Chapter

Stefan: Well there's quite a list, and a ceremony too, which is why I'm here. We need the tongue of a lich, the blood of a necromancer, the bone of a saint, a few more things too. It should be...interesting. In the meantime I can shorten the range of enemies who are able to detect your presence. It will at least give you fewer foes to deal with. She reaches into a pouch and removes a silvery amulet, striding forward to place it gently around your neck with a smile. You and Raknesh are talented though, between all of us I'm sure we'll have little problems. Just keep the light when you sleep! I can't tell you what can crawl out of the shadows while you are dreaming.

Everyone else: Loden frowns, So perhaps we should leave Raknesh's spy and return to the inn? If Ezran starts to leave we'll take the opportunity to capture her. Otherwise we had best lay low and leave as early as possible. Hopefully Jett has found some better news of the necromancer. Is this agreeable?

Halek gives Fin a small smile. Of course. It won't be pleasant, but it can be done. I warn you though, for it to be successful we have to wait until he has a firmer grip on you. He is more powerful than any of the demons we've faced thus far and traditional methods won't work. I will have to become more involved.

"I can mostly agree with that. I can probably get a scroll to assist in my ritual while traveling. A flying scout would do us much good, so it has to be done."

Rakensh reluctantly agrees.
"There is nothing we can do for now... Rocky will stay hidden and, as long as I'm not too many miles away, tell we everything."  He sighs before adding
"Let's go back to the inn before they spot us.  Maybe Stefan will have some good answers for us."

Re: Chapter

Stefan frowned at the list considering the difficulty involved.  "Do you need to rest Raina, or are you ready to get started.  My companions are with Raknesh at the moment, if you are up to it, then we can go meet them.  Otherwise, I will make sure you sleep safely."

Re: Chapter

Stefan: Raina smiles at the offer. I appreciate that but we may as well get started now. We'll all sleep a lot better when my father is not a threat. She suggests going to find the others...

ooc: If it is agreeable to you, you start off to follow them...

Everyone: As you head back towards the inn you run across Stefan and a beautiful blond woman whom Raknesh recognizes as Raina, the woman who helped you in the underworld. Naturally it is a shock to see her, though the rest of you still don't know who she is and she greets Raknesh warmly. You also meet up with Jett, who is shocked to hear about Ezran as you know the pair were very close. He looks disappointed that you aren't going to do anything but understands the wisdom of it, even if he looks upset. When Halek sees the woman with Stefan he looks shocked. How are you here? he gasps, clearly he knows who she is. She returns the look. I might ask you the same question. she shakes her head. But perhaps that is a conversation best kept for later. Meanwhile Jett has some good news. I found the necromancer by the way. He's about half a day's right north if we're still interested. Raina brightens at this.

ooc: Feel free to fill in Stefan on the details of Ezran and Ralli, etc. Then let me know general plans for that night, assuming you wish to go after the necromancer the next day.

"I'll have to find a scroll writer if I am going to perform this ritual while traveling. I'll be at the inn shortly. Tell the keeper I'll be ready soon. And Stefan, we should stick together under these circumstances, I'll accompany you." He seems slightly excited between the first and last sentences, but serious otherwise.

Re: Chapter

ooc: Prizzard and Stefan, you both have a fine shopping trip and find everything you need. Be sure and subtract the money from your inventory.

After shopping and errands are done, Raina introduces herself to the rest of you. To your surprise she reveals that her father is actually the Lord Death himself and she has come to this plane in order to help save Stefan and Raknesh. Apparently they crossed him on their adventure in the netherworld and he seeks revenge with every dark thing he can throw at you. As companions of these two, I'm sure you all realize by now this puts you in grave danger. she explains sympathetically. For Fin especially this all seems a bit insane, but then you've already been through more than you'd care to with these people. We need to get the necromancer's help, whether he wants to give it or not. If Ralli is around then she'll know of your bounty. She will likely be waiting for us there, though I don't see much of a choice. I think you are strong enough to defeat her though, with my help at least. She always was overconfident. she shakes her head. She turns to Tanzy suddenly, a look of mild surprise on her face. Um...not to pry, but were you aware there is a spirit hanging about you? He seems quite infatuated.

ooc: Ok, so the plan is to hit the necromancer the next day (provided everyone is agreeable to this) so you may want to prepare for quite a battle. Now's the time to declare any new supplies such as healing potions, etc and let me know if you're ready to move on. If I don't hear anything earth shattering from you in the next couple days or so so I will assume we can get going.

Tanzy blinked in surprise at Raina's comment about the spirit. "That would be Nayam. He's nice enough, I remind him of his wife." She shrugged in a 'what are you gonna do' manner and finished off her drink. She was un-phased at the new prospect of danger. It was becoming normal with these guys.

Re: Chapter

although Rania's presence is quite a surprise, her explanations only confirmed Raknesh's own ideas.

"Well, what's one more deadly foe..."
he finally says.

What does surprise him, on the other hand, his her remark toward Tanzy and her 'it's perfectly normal' answer.  Truth be told, it's becoming harder and harder to find things 'surprising'.

Re: Chapter

ooc: Sorry about that Prizzard, I knew I was forgetting something!

Everyone: Raina looks amused at Tanzy's answer. Well he seems intent on keeping you safe. He may just come in useful she muses. Black dagger? Let me see please. she holds out her hand towards Prizzard. Should you hand it to her she turns pale. No, this isn't my father. It is someone just as bad though, perhaps more so. she shudders. His taint is all over the little one she looks at Fin with concern. But then you already know that. During all this Halek grows increasingly uncomfortable and Raina quickly drops the subject, handing the knife back to Prizzard.

ooc: Ok, I'm going to move you guys on soon. Just let me know if you have any finishing thoughts and feel free to roll sense motive about Halek and Raina's behavior if you like.

Fin had paled a little during the conversation, but was snapped back to his senses when Raina mentioned him. "Taint?" He shudders as if something was crawling on him. "Something is wrong, but Halek has me assured we will get it fixed."
