Obviously just a little tipsy: "I say we find a place to sleep. I wonder if they can climb.."

As the last zombie falls, the bear that is the druid roars in anger and frustration, before he slumps and dejectedly walks towards the others, blood dripping from the rapier wound on his side, the only visible damage on the bear.  He walks sedately towards them his haggard expression obvious though his face was that of a bear.  He looked at them each in turn, then jutted his head towards Prizzard then moved it towards his back, lowering his shoulder to make it easier for someone to get on.  He glanced towards where the flash had come from then jerked his head in the opposite direction, hoping that the messages were apparent enough to be understood.

"Not a chance, oso."

Though the zombies were defeated Tanzy kept one of her rapiers at the ready. She agrees with Halek, "The sooner we get that thing out of Stefan the better. But we can't do it here. Let's get out of the village first.
When Stefan approaches Tanzy can't help but feel a little guilty for his wound. "Um Jett could use a ride," she pipes in when Prizzard refuses to climb onto the bear. Grabbing the unconscious man under his arms she attempts to drag him towards Stefan. "A little help might be needed," she adds with a grunt. It's obvious she wont be able to move him alone.

Prizzard's suggestion is a good point.
"We need to take as much distance as possible before we rest.
It would be easier with horses."
He nods to Tanny and help her with Jett.

Not certain he can understand him, he asks the druid
"Can you heal some of his wounds before we go?"

The bear places one paw lightly on Jett and made a warbling call, as some of the mans wounds began to piece themselves back together.

12:11, Today: Stefan Aruello rolled 14 using 2d8+7. cure moderate wounds.

Jett is soon conscious thanks to Stefan's efforts, though he definitely looks shaken by his experience. Halek turns toward the group, his face grim. She's not done with us. Not even close. If we don't get out of here soon she will find me. That would be very bad. I've got to stay away from her no matter what! He pants, terrified.

Loden gives a grim nod and motions toward the town stables. I hate to do this, but we may want to get some horses and get out while the town is still distracted. I will leave some money, but there is really no time to haggle, so we'd best hurry.... he trails off suggestively. Clearly the idea of taking other people's horses does not appeal to him.

"You will have some explaining to do when this is all over," Tanzy says to Halek with a small smile. In the stable she chooses her horse quickly, opting for one that still has a saddle on. "I never got on well with horses," she mutters pulling herself awkwardly up onto the animal. She seems to have no qualms about stealing a horse. "I wouldn't waste my money either," she adds to Loden, "I have a feeling this town isn't going to care about a few missing horses if that witch woman is still around."

"I prefer a rhinoceros." He's looking around at the horses and opts for the heaviest of the group.

Stefan maintains a goodly distance from the equines, knowing that the smell of his current form will set the animals mad unless they were war-trained, and he rather doubted that the horses here would be.

"We will pay for those horses when we get back... if there is still someone to pay..."
says Raknesh, climbing on one of the horses, without the 'grace' of an expert cavalier.
"Most of us aren't used to riding, but we should be good enough to travel... if not to fight while mounting..."

Halek gives Tanzy a sad little nod, looking unhappy at the prospect of explaining himself. He gives Prizzard an odd look at the rhinoceros statement, as though unsure if he is joking or not.

You gather your mounts and head out quickly. Stefan is wise to keep his distance for the horses eye him uncomfortably and stamp nervously. Loden addresses you as he points out the direction he wants you all to head. We should still try to head towards the general direction of the temple. We may as well not lose track of our goals after all. Still, I think the best thing to do is ride a few hours, put some distance between us and this town, and then see what we can do for Stefan here. He turns to shout to Stefan. If you don't mind, I would prefer you are in front of us so I can see you. I don't mean to offend, but I don't exactly trust you right now. I want to be able to keep my eye on you. Just until we can take care of this possession business. I know better than anyone else here what it is like. You may be in control now, but that may not last long....

ooc: Any conversation or other actions before you guys head out? If not, I will post again in a day or so. The good news is that tomorrow is my last day of my job. I am taking a short vacation and then my time will be much more available to post frequently. I'm pretty dang excited over all, so bear with me a smidge more and things will pick up nicely on my end :D Ah! The joys of being unemployed. It's so nice when it's actually on purpose! ;)

The bear stood up and the mass shifted until the druid was standing before them once more in his human form.  His face held shame and strain from the encounter in the town.  "Quite alright, I would like to get whatever it is out of me as soon as possible though.  In the meantime, I think I will take a form that is much less upsetting to the horses, and makes me less dangerous all around until then, and I can scout if you wish."  He quickly began to shrink, a pattern of feathers appearing on his skin before bursting forth as the druid turned into an eagle.  With a few powerful flaps of his wings the bird took flight staying slightly ahead of everyone, but staying with the party.

Loden nods at Stefan's suggestion, though he asks that you stay where he can see you.

All of you ride quickly from the village, headed in the general direction of the next temple, though it is still a day's ride from you. After a couple of hours, Loden signals for you to stop. By now daylight is a few hours away. He also gestures towards Stefan to come back.

I think this is as far away as we need for now. We should try to take care of our friend and then rest a bit before pressing on. We won't be much good at the temple if we are falling asleep in our saddles. He turns to Tanzy. I believe the priest gave you the supplies. Please get them out now. The rest of you, I will need your help restraining Stefan during all of this. Does anyone have any rope?

"Does he need to be conscious?" Not-quite-jokingly after an awkward dismount. When people pause to figure out if the question is serious, his face turns serious. "No, I'm not sure it'll help, but it might."

The eagle flew down and transformed back in to his human form.  Stefan sighed and sat cross-legged on the ground and held his wrists behind his back, silently waiting for the restraints, doing his best to help while he still could.

Tanzy pulls the supplies the priest had given her out and hands them to Loden. "What if that thing inside changes him to a bear again before we are done? He's bound to know what we have in mind. Maybe Prizzard has the right idea? Maybe we should knock him out," she smiles at Stefan apologetically. "And tie him to a sturdy tree," she adds pulling from her pack a long length of rope.

"I am less worried about transforming to a battle form and more worried about changing to a flight form.  As for knocking me out, is there any gurantee that me losing consciousness will make it lose consciousness?  I know next to nothing about this thing, and if I am unconscious, I may not be able to try and fight it."  Unless there is more information, I have no idea what may be helpful or what may make it worse."

ooc: Sounds like a good time to roll knowledge checks in arcane or religion.... ;P

Halek frowns and steps forward. What if we tie him up so well that even a bear can't escape? How much rope do we have? He asks with big eyes. He still looks rather shaken from the whole ordeal.

Loden nods at Tanzy's statement. It is likely that he will resist. This will not be easy. His strength will also increase, so we will need everyone involved here. I'd feel better if I had a jail cell or something to work with, but there simply isn't the time.

"I have a question: how many times can you change? If you are limited then better use all your power then we can tie you as a human and proceed without too much trouble."
says Raknesh, focusing to get more power in his blade.

Stefans brows furrow in confusion as he speaks.  "Huh, why didn't I think of that."  He quickly shifts to a pony and then back to human, resuming his previous position on the ground.  "I am now trapped in this form till morning."

Prizzards brow lifts before grinning. The idea was a good one, indeed.

"Let's get to it then," Tanzy ties Stefan's hands tightly behind his back and then wraps the remaining length of rope around his chest pinning his arms down to ensure he won't be able to easily struggle. "I know nothing of arcane magic so I'll leave the rest to someone more qualified."

Loden nods and takes the scrolls from Tanzy. He then proceeds to give you all tasks. The men he mostly has holding him, despite the fact that he is already bound quite securely. He also gives you all markings made of some kind of red resin that was amongst the supplies. To prevent the thing from entering anyone else. He explains. He turns to Tanzy and hands her a golden bell. As I say the incantation it says here for you to ring this continually. Do not stop no matter what happens. Understand? He waits for a nod before continuing. The rest of you try to clear your thoughts and focus on my words. Try to wipe any fear from your minds, the thing will feed off of that. Be brave and be quiet. Speak only if it is absolutely necessary, and try to keep him still. There may be some...thrashing...and we don't want Stefan getting hurt. He finishes darkly. Everyone ready?

ooc: Please roll wisdom saves + any modifiers you have against fear should you have any. Stefan, please roll a concentration check. Add any final preparations and intentions and I will start the exorcism!

Stefan closed his eyes and screwed his face up, sweat starting on his face as he tried to find his center.
