Prizzard was already under the assumption nothing friendly would be here, that soul-taker caught him off guard and in a weak spot to enchant him so, but now his will was cemented. Nothing innocent can be here..

Raknesh was relieved when their guide regained her strength.

Judging by her explanation, his own feeling of weakness and her reaction, she really must be incredibly powerful...

The steps had him turn quickly and draw his weapon.

Snapping out of her general haze, Bryon did her dance to bring up her lightening, but held it, in case they were dealing with friend.

Prizzard and Bryon can only make out a woman, approaching cautiously, and they can hear her muttering and talking, seemingly to herself, but Raknesh recognizes her as Tanzy. He is the only one who can make out what she is saying too.

ooc: Since Raknesh recognizes her early and the rest of you don't, I'll let him react first and then you can all post accordingly in case he wants to give you a heads up on the situation.

"Tanzy?" whispered Raknesh surprised.

He turned to their guide. "Could it be our friend or is it another trap?" he asked urgently, his weapon still ready.

Should she come too close before he got an answer, he will fire an arrow at her feet to stop her and order "Stop here and tell us how you got here!"

Not at all trusting this convenient event, Prizzard is clearly ready to attack.

Byron stood still and at the ready.

The motherwitch looks weak still but gives a helpless shrug. There's really no way to tell but I find it awfully convenient that the very person you're looking for just happens to be here. Let's just say I'm rather cynical on the subject... she says drily.

Meanwhile, Tanzy looks startled to see you as well and as soon as Raknesh calls her name she says, Ha! I don't think so!! Then she starts at a run and to your surprise proceeds to tumble past you all with such speed and agility that you can barely blink before she's safely behind you, at which point she books it as fast as her legs can carry her. You also notice what seems to be a little green frog clinging to her shoulder for dear life the whole time. By the time all is said and done she's running through the corridor and will soon disappear around a corner.

Nodding along with Motherwitch slowly after the doppelganger escapes, Prizzard speaks loud enough to be heard around the corner: "We will need a rearguard, whichever way we go now."

Raknesh looked at the moving form.
Strangely, it is the fact she didn't attack them or even tried to deceive them that made him think it was, in fact, her.

She could have been tricked a few times too, and have decided not to stop for anything now...

Using his increased speed he rushed after her.

"Tanzy ! It is really us! Ask something only we know!"

Putting on a burst of speed, Prizzard moved to block him and tried to keep his voice low. "We are not running into an ambush. Don't you think after what happened only hours ago that she would like to put a knife in me at least once? And she's bright enough to notice the arm a convincing doppelganger wouldn't have!" He waved his left arm at the last, the one that had been missing before coming here.

OOC: Prizzard is oblivious to a great many things, but a life in the underground keeps one on the lookout for ambush tactics. There were a few good reasons to follow her anyway, tests for identity, reasons she might not try to put a knife in him, but outlaws don't live long on chance. Plus, he is oblivious to a great many things.

Bryon follows Tanzy

Raknesh spotted Brion following Tansy while he had been stopped by Prizzard.

"I very well might be the fact you have your arm that made her think you were not you"

'If Rocky or your dragon were here, they could have been very helpful...

Turning to face the way the women went "There are too many possible arguments." He look ready to go, but as rear guard, behind even the weakened witch.

Tanzy looks alarmed at being followed and picks up speed, still tumbling as necessary. The frog leaps from her shoulder and calls back to her, Run!! I'll hold them off and meet back with you!! Then, so quickly you are astonished, he proceeds to morph into the largest lion you've ever seen, easily the size of a horse. Stay back you tricksters!! he growls with his new voice. Should anyone attempt to get around him he moves to attack.

Bryon simply used Flees the Scene to teleport in front of Tanzy. She held up her hands. “Tanzy please stop. I refuse to harm you but I will not move.”

At the mention of 'tricksters', Raknesh moved past Prizzard and to follow Bryon.

"Easy ! We are not the tricksters, but the tricked. What proof do you have you are not trying to lure us into a trap? Could a trickster mimic our very special abilities? Especially one who would smite evil foes?

I am good at dispelling mind affecting effect, too."
he added, his mind blade's holy power showing in a radiant light. But he kept it pointed toward the ceiling.

Knowing how well Raknesh can handle himself, Prizzard took no time to decide. He kneeled into a sprint and with a syllable, took off at full speed to pass the talking lion, but stopped a good 10' from the maybe-Tanzy.

Tanzy skids to a stop when Bryon appears before her, a low curse on her lips. Prizzard’s fast approach doesn’t help the matter and she instinctively draws her borrowed rapier. “These tunnels are filled with deceptions and nightmares. There’s nothing that will convince me otherwise except letting me leave.

OOC: So hard not to meta game :(

Prizzard seems confused for a moment, still poised for an ambush. He steps back, eyeing the walls less to look back at Raknesh and the motherwitch. "We can't let it report our location and we can't wait for more trouble to show up." He was clearly prepared to chase rather than defend himself, but there was some attempt at looking like he expected ti be attacked. His stabce for blade fighting also thrown off by his hands shifted for striking with the handle. Even with his convictions regarding the situation, he did not intend to potentially kill the real Tanzy a second time.

Bryon kept her hands up. “I cannot. If you must use that do so quickly, and tell Althol that I love him.”

Tanzy rolls her eyes at her would be companions comments. They were very convincing. Prizzard with his suspicions and awkward ways, Raknesh with his disciplined control, and Bryon with her dramatic flair. But Raina had been convincing too and that had not gone well. It was strange that they were as suspicious of her as she was them but the tunnels were unpredictable and she had been warned not to stop for anything. A mistake she’d already made once. “Well we seem to be at an impasse. Tanzy was well aware that she couldn’t fight them all especially since they seemed to share her real friends powers so she tucked her legs underneath her and did a quick roll past Bryon before breaking into another run.

OOC: Tumble 19 not quite enough to avoid an attack of opportunity if Bryon wants to make one.
