“We...we’re...what...how...we’re so dead! I mean DEAD! I...I’m already dead but this time it’s REALLY...dead! I mean we are...we’re GOING to die! There’s no way!” Tanzy is unable to shake the dazed fear that is causing her babbling and she slides down to the ground with a hopeless thud. It doesn’t seem to matter that they aren’t even in the room anymore.

Prizzard may be facing one of the biggest threats he's ever seen, but he's putting up a good fight in the process. You can feel bone crunch beneath your blows, and judging by the way its flinching, the demon feels it too.

As for Raknesh, his arrows seem to draw his attention, which is both good and bad. Good that Prizzard gets a small break, and bad because he immediately becomes the target of the demon's attack, who lunges forward with surprising speed and slashes Raknesh twice with his blade. You're able to dodge the worst of the blow but it is frightening how strong this thing really is. He turns then, finally acknowledging Prizzard's question and smiles. I. Am. Balor. His voice is like rock grinding against steel. In spite of his sinister grin though, you can see everyone's attacks are having effects. You can ALSO see that he is already starting to heal.

Emeric notices this too and with a snarl he raises his hand and a bar of black energy hits the demon. I can slow his healing for you, but you've got to move! If I can keep this up, you have a chance! Keep him away from me though! he darts back, already readying to loose another blast. You can already see Balor's wounds stop closing.

Meanwhile Raina calls frantically over to the still babbling Ezran, screaming at her to go find Tanzy so she can free her.

During all this, the sound of the black king and his mother fighting nearly swallows all other noise. She is slamming him into the wall so hard that he actually goes through it, and then with a scowl she follows him through the hole, thunderous racket ensuing right after.


ooc: Ok, next round. Tanzy, this is your last round of being cray-cray, so go ahead and make your final roll. Bryon, let me know your plan and everyone else make your rolls.

"Break the chains or we might never escape, Raknesh!" Prizzard releases the last charges of his spell and draws his borrowed scythe. With a warmup flourish he casts Sadism, settling into an aggressive stance. The dark red aura paints the remaining fur a muddy hue. "I am Rashemi. Flee."

Bryon will try to wall walk back to her bound friend, the one they are trying to rescue.

"We won't be able to flee while this demon is alive, I fear" told Raknesh as he launched another volley of arrows.

Raknesh's arrows hit well and between that and Perkin's clawed swipe at the demon, Balor is starting to show signs of fatigue. He takes a few steps back, looking particularly focused as he raises a massive hand up and with a gesture, releases sheets of roaring flame throughout the entire room. Unable to move, Raina screams in pain and Emeric swears, taking cover behind a pillar. Perkins also takes the full brunt, poor thing.

Meanwhile, back in the hallway, Tanzy finally snaps out of it upon hearing Raknesh's voice in her ear and, shakily, she rushes back towards the room with Bryon leading the way. By the time you get there you see the remnants of flames dissipating and you are glad you missed whatever just happened.

ooc: Ok, so Bryon, Raina is about 20 feet from the door and you could wall walk on the ceiling above her. Meanwhile, everyone else who was in the room please make a reflex save DC 20 or take 38 damage. Success means you take half, unless of course you have a feat that allows you to avoid it completely. Next round everyone! You really are making good headway on him if that makes you feel better!

Adjusting his position closer to flanking with Raknesh, Prizzard throws his full weight into each opening with the demon. The attacks are telegraphed and don't connect well after the first.

Once back in the room Tanzy heads straight for Raina with determination. “Sorry,” she mutters “I’m not sure what the thought process was for transporting us to the hall...” Though she was relieved to have missed the brunt of the fight so far. Frowning she again attempts to free their companion. Her efforts prove successful and she flashes a grin as the chains finally fall free. “Now can we get the hell out of here?!”

Ceiling walking above their friend she heard the other's calling for help. Sifting through what she knew she decided to use her ice blast to see if it had an effect.

Raknesh managed to avoid most of the flames, but it still hurt.

He endured and launched another volley of arrow, point blank, but the sting from the burns and the Balor's moves to counter Prizzar made him miss twice.

Though only half successful in their attacks, Prizzard and Raknesh nonetheless manage to get some solid hits in, and the demon looks furious. Meanwhile he barely manages to sidestep Bryon's blast, yellow eyes flicking to her in surprise, and you realize he must not have been paying her much attention before now.

Then, in the blink of an eye, to your surprise, he's suddenly gone and for the briefest of moments you feel relief. Is this nightmare truly over? Did you actually make it? But no. He reappears across the room now, by the doorway, his massive frame blocking the exit. With him so quickly moved, Emeric has lost his hold on him with his blast of magic and you realize his healing qualities are going to rejuvenate if the masked man can't get him pinned again quickly.

Raina, now free, stands shakily and rolls up her sleeves, her bright violet power already starting to charge as her hands begin to glow. If we can get five minutes of peace, I can get us all out of here. Back to the world of the living. she sighs. She glances over at Emeric, who is staring at her wordlessly and she smiles. Nice to see you again sweetie.

Throughout all of this, the motherwitch and Death battle in the room behind this one. The hole in the wall is big enough to climb through but the entire room shakes and rumbles as bits of stone fall from the ceiling. Loud slams and crashes thunder continuously.

ooc: Ok, next round. You can either try to finish taking him out (he's actually not looking great at all. You're not far from it so long as he doesn't get too much of a chance to heal) or you can try to escape through the hole in the wall, though that's also risky with two god like beings trying to destroy each other. At least now you have Raina to help! :)

Distance is no trouble for Raknesh and he quickly fired another volley.

With the others attacking Balor Tanzy heads to the hole in the wall to check on the Mother Witche’s progress. Cautiously she peeks into the room ready to retreat should they be headed their way.

Bryon's blast hits first, and it hits true this time. He snarls in fury, looking greatly weakened but holding his ground. It seems that he's hell bent on keeping you there. In the meantime Prizzard's charge hits true, as does many of Raknesh's mind arrows. Black blood drips from the demon, flaming as it hits the ground around him. He looks close to the end but somehow, he still stands and...smiles? Yes. His sharp white teeth bare at you in some horrific grin and a second later you understand why. With a gesture he raises his index finger upward and suddenly the room is filled with creatures. Dretch demons. Small, true. Only about four feet tall, but the fact that there are 31 of them doesn't exactly make you happy.

Tanzy, as you peek through the hole you see the motherwitch fly backwards and slam into a wall of the massive room adjoining yours. Her son, dripping blood and looking exhausted, pants-breathing labored, readying himself for her response. She does not disappoint. She hurls a violet fireball the size of a house at him, yelling obscenities the entire time. Then of course you turn and realize there are 31 dretches all around you...


ooc: Ok, Balor is only a couple hits from dead. Don't freak out about the dretches either. Probably anyway...Next round! :)

Bryon noted the arriving reinforcements, but elected to concentrate her attack on the one who had summoned them in the first place. Since she had found something that worked she stuck with it.

Those pesky little demons didn't look to be too much trouble... but they are quite a lot of those.

Still, Raknesh felt the best option was to destroy the Balor.  With their fearsome leader being killed right in front of them, they might decide it was better not to try their luck... At least some might be cowardly enough.

And he was not quite as good with multiple targets than he was at focusing one.

Tanzy pulls her attention from the battle between witch and son and mutters a soft curse at the sight of the little demons. There were an awful lot of them but at least they were more in her league. Drawing her rapier she slashes at the ones closest to her.

Prizzard decimates the dretch nearest him with ease, and you're relieved to find they are quite weak compared to their master. Bryon and Raknesh's ranged attacks hit true, and he's swaying on his feet by now, black blood dripping in a pool of fire around him.

Meanwhile Tanzy, finally feeling in her element, whips her sword around in a dizzying display as she whirls from one dretch to another, blade  hitting seven of them so fast its hard to follow. Perkins stays by her side, griffin claws raking them with great effect.

The dretches all attack, driven by fear of their master, but fortunately they are not too terrible to avoid and those who don't, aren't particularly worried about the wounds they receive.

By now, seeing he's well and truly in trouble, Balor raises a hand and rains down a final storm of fire before turning as though to run...

ooc: Ok, so Tanzy, Prizzard, Bryon and Perkins take the brunt of the damage from the dretches. Meanwhile the fire fills most of the room and you will take 42 damage if you can't succeed in a reflex DC 20, at which point you'll take half unless of course you have the proper feat. He is about to run so you can all get an attack of opportunity against him I believe.  I apologize in advance if I missed anything. I'm in a huge rush. In one surreal movement Prizzard slipped through the worst of the flames while making a wide sweep to prevent the demon from fleeing. It turns out this was also the last of his strength and not a very smart move. The spell fell off of him like a big pile of fur and disintegrated at the slightest disturbance. He suddenly pales a little and thenlast of the yellow glow leaves his veins and he lifts his scythe with a loud, hollow moan. Just as the weapon drops to strike, the edge of the weapon bursts with a dark blood, flecked and mixed with his own yellowed blood. Despite apparent fatigue, the baleful enchantment kept his attacks swift and true.
