Re: ooc- The place for chatting

Ok guys, I'm going to start the game now. I have put you in two groups for starters. The third group will be created when the other players have finished their sheets or when their concerns are cleared up and they are ready. For now there are only two groups though. So find your name and you will be posting in the according group. Eventually I hope to blend you guys together but that won't be for a while. So here are the groups and you may post in your chapter when I have them up. Also, if I missed anyone who already has their sheet finished and approved by me, let me know as there are a lot of people to juggle right now and I may forget someone.

Also, if you are from Halidar you get a +4 bonus on all knowledge checks whether you have ranks in an area or not. If you are from Dajhiris you get +3 to survival checks and +2 to barter and appraise checks. If you are from Jaysirr you get a +4 to handle animal checks and a +2 to any check involving an animal.
So far that covers all the areas that people have chosen. When and if others choose different areas I will list their bonuses as well.

Group 1= Stephan Albreckt, Lowac, Raknesh, Alexia
Group 2= Ravaella, Orrik, Finbarri, Stefan Aruello, Amadeus

Re: ooc- The place for chatting

Anyone who is not a human can have the option of being from the uncharted lands. A player already asked about their bonus and here is what I wrote them:

"You will take the uncharted lands bonus, which is for anyone not born in any of the human kingdoms. Basically your bonus is you get +2 to hide and move silently. This is due to the fact that the uncharted lands are where all the other races live and they are very secretive. Any human who goes into these lands has a difficult time finding anything as the people are very paranoid about their lands being overrun. So they keep quiet about them and keep to themselves. This has led to them being good at keeping unnoticed when they wish. Also there are a few human communities in the uncharted lands as well"

As for you Thear folk, people have heard that there are communities of humans in the Uncharted lands, but few have actually seen anything there, let alone humans. Also, if you are non-human you may also choose to have been raised in some part of Thear, in which case you would take the bonus from the region you were raised in.

Re: ooc- The place for chatting

There are but none that any of your characters would ever be exposed to as yet...

The only actual special languages that Thear is familiar with are the languages of various races such as elves and the like, and also ancient languages used in the past.

Re: ooc- The place for chatting

I tend to be busy on the weekends so if I don't get back to you that's why. I'll try to do some posting by Sunday but if I don't get to I apologize. Weekdays are much more manageable for me.

Re: ooc- The place for chatting

My schedule the last couple days and throughout the weekend are rebuilding my front driveline on my truck.  4x4's are fun, but when the need repair they are difficult and very expensive.

Re: ooc- The place for chatting

Artemis shouldn't be allowed to reply to or comment this, but: It seems we have a very high-quality DM here. Seems to be fair, creative, and flexible. I know its a bit early in the game to be saying this, but.. I have no complaints. Took long enough to get all the info on my char and make sure it'd be balanced, but that can be expected with complexity and variant rules. At least it shows the fairness and flexibility.

Anyone else want to comment?

Re: ooc- The place for chatting

No complains either. Stayed open to my ideas, and believe me I had some crazy ideas of how to make 5 lvl character. Never told me no and I ended with a character I liked. That ended up being close to what I originally wanted.
Not sue how combat would be, but thats another story, so far, if I'm allowed to play in any other game GMed by him I know I will have a happy play.
