Shadows Over Bogenhafen- Meeting with Magirius
The midday sun is beginning to peak out between the clouds as you cross through the muddy streets to reach the doors of the merchants guild. It is a large three story stone building covered with ornate stonework and flanked by enough decorative statues to make the headquarters resemble a cathedral to commerce rather than a place of business. The sturdy oak doors open into a foyer and a waiting room furnished with cushioned chairs and couches. The walls are adorned with expensive looking tapestries and the floors are covered in exotic rugs of vibrant colors from far off lands.

A gray haired, spectacled scribe sits near the entryway with a wodden table before him. He looks up from the documents he is copying to ask, "Yes? May I help you?"

"I am Ulrich von Wolfenstein, the councilor is expecting me and my friends." Ulrich replies to the scribe.

"Councilor Magirus," Paulus adds. He looks much more comfortable since replacing his good clothes, but his bare feet are black from the dirty streets of Bogenhafen.

Re: Shadows Over Bogenhafen- Meeting with Magirius
The clerk rises from his seat but retains the stooped posture of a man who has spent most of his life bent over a desk. He tells you to wait here and shuffles away through a side door but not before glancing back with a skeptical stare at some of Ulrich's less well dressed companions. He keeps you waiting for over 15 minutes, giving you ample time to admire the rooms decorations. Of note is an oil painting of a middle aged man with short reddish-brown hair and a long beard that covers only his chin and jaw. The man in the painting wears fine black and white clothing that displays his wealth and a pendant shaped like a stylized red rose with four petals hangs from a thick chain around his neck. The plaque beneath the painting reads, "Guildmaster Johannes Teugen 2511- " with no ending date filled in.

At last the scribe returns and ushers you into a wood paneled office. A tall and slender distinguished looking man with thinning hair and a close cropped graying beard rises from his seat behind the desk that dominates the room when you enter. He has a narrow face with kind looking eyes that watch you without hostility. His clothing identifies him as a member of the wealthy classes, though he has forgone some of the more elaborate decoration that you have seen on other merchants here in Bogenhafen.

"You are visitors to our town so allow me to introduce myself. I am Town Councillor Friedrich Magirius," the man behind the desk says in a surprisingly down to earth tone. "Please have a seat and make yourselves comfortable," he adds while gesturing to the ornately carved padded chairs and couches that dot the room.

Once everyone has seated themselves he resumes his seat behind his heavy wooden desk and in a polite tone asks, "Now... I understand that you've been making inquiries about the Ordo Septenarius. Might I ask what your interest in the Ordo might be?"

Ulrich took a mental note of Johannes Teugen's face and then turned to follow the clerk in as he came back. He bows before the councilor before taking "I assume  you already know who we are." he smiles to the councilor before continuing "The cult of Sigmar have sent us to track down the origins of the cultist cult and the trail has led us to Bogenhafen." he finishes without giving too much away.

Friedrich blinks several times with a confused look on his face before he speaks. "Cult? There must be some mistake here," the merchant half chuckles. "The Ordo Septenarius is certainly no cult. What leads you to believe such things?"

"Currently the name of group we are searching for is unknown to us, but since the Ordo did appear in some evidence, which i can not divulge in, we thought it best to investigate further. What can you tell us about the Ordo Septenarius?" Ulrich asks politely.

Magirius stand up with a smile. "I can assure you that there is nothing sinister about it at all. If you will do me the honor of joining me for lunch I will explain the whole matter after we have eaten at The Golden Trout. I'm quite certain that this is no more than a series of unfortunate misunderstandings." Magirius retrieves a cloak from a nearby peg and puts it on to protect his clothing from the muddy streets then gestures to the door in an inviting manner as if to say "Shall we?"

Re: Shadows Over Bogenhafen- Meeting with Magirius
Magirius leads you across Berg strasse to the Golden Trout Club, a collection of three buildings connected by covered walkways and set against a stone wall. The sign out front bears the symbol of a golden fish with a coin in it's mouth, a symbol which comes directly from the town's coat of arms. The club is so exclusive that an iron gate bars the door and a doorman stands behind it. When he sees Magirius coming he quickly opens the gate and ushers you inside while whispering to the councilor, "Your table is ready sir."

The dining room of the Trout is dim but tastefully lit by burning lamps. The wait staff are dressed in immaculate white uniforms and smell of flowery perfumes. Most surprising of all is that they seem to be almost entirely free of pox marks, boils or any deformity of any kind! The scent of the perfumes mixes in your nostrils with the aromas of high class cuisine and the acrid smoke from the pipes and cigars of the many wealthy merchants who sit at the tables striking deals.

Magirius leads you to a table covered in a fine linen tablecloth and surrounded by chairs of smooth lacquered dark wood. When you are all seated Magirius picks up one of the menus that has been placed in front of each seat and says, "Please, order whatever you like. The meal is on me." Those of you who can read see that the Golden Trout offers a selection of all the Imperial staples (Sauerbraten, Schnitzels and the like) as well as a fair number of Brettonian dishes with fancy names that are incomprehensible to all but Paulus. The club also offers a wide selection of Imperial and Brettonian wines, beers and liquors.

While you peruse the menu, Magirius makes polite conversation asking questions about what your names are and where you are from.
