Re: The Dragon Complex

Location: The Gym - Weightroom

It was early morning, and Bethany had made her way to the gym for a morning weight workout.  She'd always found morning to be the time when she'd run into less of the obnoxious guys at the gym.  She changed in the women's locker room and made her way over to the bench to start warming up a little bit.  She had no idea who to expect to show up to the gym well before practice on the field would start, so the woman just figured she'd take things as they came.

Re: The Dragon Complex

  GYM...Upper level Track

Adam  had  stayed up and  watched   films of the Redskins DBAcks..the  rookies  films  were from college, of course, but  Adam was smiling..he played against better backs in  the CFL.

around 6:30 he drove to the Complex ( with Ben if he wanted to come along) when he entered the  Gym, he  went  up the ramp to the second  level, 6 lane, track.

once he lossened up, he began  to do sprints, and practice  coming out of his  2 points stance, trying to get that microsecond advantage...

Re: The Dragon Complex

The Pool.

Ben enjoyed the studytime with Adam's comments on the various films he had... even if he did try to hide any Sooners games in the collection.

He was up and ready to go by the time Adam arose, but waited and rode over with him.

"I must take some time to find a dealership, pick up my own wheels so you don't have to drive me all the time," he said on the way over. When they arrived, he jumped out.

"I am going for a swim. I like to get some laps in early. I used to hang out with the swim team at Oklahoma U, pick up a few tips. See you in a bit, be glad of the company if you like to swim."

He went into the locker room, changed into 'budgie smugglers' and was soon in the water.

Re: The Dragon Complex

Meanwhile, Bethany continued her workout.  It was an upper body workout this morning.  She knew that she had, in general, plenty of speed and reaction time, but she knew she'd have to constantly be pushing her strength while she played in the NFL.  There wasn't any arguing against the fact that men had a natural advantage over her in that department, and in order to keep in the same league, she had to keep her training at a couple notches higher than anyone else.  It was closer to her having to expect herself to have the strength of a power lifter but still retain her speed and agility.

She was a little surprised she was the only one in the weight room, though she could hear some running on the track above her.  The pool was isolated enough that she couldn't tell if someone was in it without going over to check, and she was a little too busy for that.  She didn't expect her isolation to last long though.  If nothing else, she figured the linemen would start filtering in eventually.

Re: The Dragon Complex

Miles and 3 of the  "starting" O line  came in while Beth worked Miles  asked her  which machines and/or  Free wirghts  she was going to be using, and the  4 would work around that

Givens   and Stalls came in  heading towards the pool, Steele Came in ( shades on) and  went to one of the stationary Bikes.

Re: The Dragon Complex

Bethany looked over at Miles.  "Free Weights, though if you want to work in and join me, that's fine," the woman said to the guys who had just come in.  She wasn't against sharing the space or working with someone at all.  It was, after all, a team complex, so no reason to not work with each other, she figured.

Re: The Dragon Complex

Miles Nods, Let's see what you'er pushing  here, and we'll see. One of us  can spot you when you want to push through the next  disc.

Mik  waved  as he  and Klay went up the ramp to  do some running, as they walked  up the  Ramp one of the coaches came in, Hey Crew! We don't  egt5 any filed  time, unless Sims  takes  us outside to a practice  field, The Redskins  are gonna  use it most of the day, to get the feel of the filed...PAss it on..

Mik and  Klay Mentioned it to  Bronk  who was still pushing through starts  and  sprints. Klay shook his head, Man..Bronk..give it  a rest...you'er  already the fastes we have...

Bronk took a drink from his powerade  bottle, I...want to...make  sure..I'm the fastest...in the league...

Mik chuckled  and shook his head, Get ready to do your  laps, Eh? You aren't  talking him out of  anything...

Re: The Dragon Complex

Bethany nodded.  She had the 225 set as her bench press warm up.  It was a lot for a woman, but she had to have trained to lift that regularly for the NFL combine.  Linemen averaged between, she had read, 400 and 500 pounds, and she knew she wouldn't likely hit a 500 pound bench press any day.

"Alright, was just finishing my warm ups.  Set it to 315 for my next set, and if you're spotting, maybe I'll try and push it up a little bit further," the woman said.  She did play cornerback in college, so she had to have respectable football strength, and that was a bit more than the average cornerback's bench press she was telling him to set it to.  Her tone of voice was casual.  She wasn't trying to impress anyone, but rather just get in a workout.
