With DBs getting thrown out of the game and the Skins not knowing which way to turn, Steele knew that a four-wide, single back formation would have them crapping in their pants. So he had the O line up immediately just like that.

And then he took the snap and handed off to Lucas on a dive up the middle.

Ben took his place, and shot off like a rocket as usual when the ball was snapped.

Lucas was holding back the defense when he saw an opening and grabbed the ball from Steele and then hustled, shifting, and turning through the line to push forward, even if for a small percentage of yards.  Some better than none.

Lucas found an opening an barreled they it knocking people down as he went.  He crossed the line and landed in the end zone for the extra 2.

  The  Crowd cheered and Booed  at the Dragons for the 2pt try at this stage of the Game.

  Sims, for the first time, looked back at the Crowed and Pointed at the redskins  coach, then smiled, and Just like that, the  Crowd  was forgotten as he    Looked at  his  play sheets again.

  The  PAT   team came off. Smokey went on the field with the kickoff team.

    Smokey  must have been a bit Jacked Up, the  Kick  sailed high    and  7 yards deep in the endzone..the  return man just took a knee..

    The   2nd team QB  was in for the Redskins. The   Dragons didn't need to use '2nd team' players, because the other players  were always rotated in and out.

   Payne  shouted to   Finns #10 , the  back up Redskin,...don't think we're not  comin' boy! we have  contracts that pay us to PLAY!

 Finns looked around Nervously, he called out the signals, Wheeler    Jumping back  and forth to make it look like he was  coming Off the Edge.

 Finns   turned  and Handed  to the HBAck  who was  crushed  after   a gain of  1.

   The Ball came back to Finns who fakes  a oitch  right  and rolled to his left, Dalton looked  like he had  a free shot   as he came out of his fake!....

Now one thing most defensive linemen had an ache to do was to just stop a play.  The Dragons had a secret...not only did Ricky have a hankering to stop a play...he wanted it to hurt, badly.  His itch to scratch was to sack the QB and as a sweet treat make a successful play out of it.

Coming through the offensive line, Ricky saw the QB look nervously about on who to toss the ball to and as his nickname rang true.  Ricky the shadow slipped through knocking the ball out of his hands mid throw and as it flipped in the air behind the QB Ricky jumped for the ball picking it as it landed on the ground once and barreled down the field like a herd of bulls had been chasing him in Madrid.

When he reached the end zone he stepped into it and then bowed before everyone in the stands before he turned on his heels to head back to the sidelines.

Several girls were whistling at him, he pointed and winked at them as he walked along.


Ricky Dalton rolled 99 using 1d100.

    Finn almost  shouted in surprise  as he heard  the OT  shout "look out!"

    The  Ball Flipped   into the   Air with Dalton crossing the endzone15 yards later.

 There  were  all kinds  of Dragon  fans screaming and  Hollering

Ben trotted out to take his place, looking as eager to play as he had at the beginning of the game (mostly because he was!).

"YEAH, RICKY!!"

Fist pumping the air as he watched Dalton smoke the QB and then take the loose ball in for a TD, Steele screamed the lineman's name in celebration. He turned and high-fived some of his nearby teammates but was quickly back in the game when Sims called on the O to go for two. James strapped on his helmet as he ran onto the field, then waved the rest of the offence into position at the line.

The Dragons O all looked pumped - they were having a darned good game racking up points, and now a defensive touchdown had given them an added boost, so they were hungry for more. Steele took the snap and looked for a quick out to Klay coming from the backfield next to him, but if he wasn't open James would go back to his go-to guy, Ben.

  Steele got the snap  , turned   to look off  Klt to   Makins, Both MAckins and  Bronk had  Cut   quick slants,  but the   OLN  droppined into coverage.

 this  made it easy for   Dteele  to flick a soft pass to Klay in the slot   and  he didn't  even had to cover the ball.

 Dragon  fans  Screamed and redskins  Fans booed the  2  point play.

 Sims  was laughing it Off  pointing  across the field to the redskins' coach and  Shouted, " THANK HIM!"

The  Score was now D67 R34 9:19 in the 4th.

 The networks  were switching to other games, and , at least half of the  redskins  fans were getting up to leave


  Smokey came on the Field and Booted the  Ball to the  2 yard  line, the retune  man  got to the 31 before he was brought down.

  The redskins  came  out. There was no ...hustle..there was no....'want to'. This  team  was beaten..everyone  in the house..the game was over...except for the clock.

  Payne shouted to the Redskin's  Bench HEY! YOU WANT US TO BRING THE DRAGONETTES OUT HER TO FINISH THE GAME? MAYBE   YOU MIGHT GET A FIRST DOWN!

Taking their time in the huddle, the Skins slowly walked to the Line. Bing just  rotated in and  was shouting from his safety spot,..hey!..throw the BAll this way... i need a Pick!

 The  QB didn't even look, he watched the play clock tick down. The 'loyal' Redskins  fans booed the  team as they  tried to burn clock..

 This  time, with one tick to go, a quick pitch to the Left sent the  hapless Halfback to try to  make the corner.., Wheeler almost had him from the backside, Dalton Finished him off   for a Gain or  3 ...the Half  back, fell, 'inwards' to keep the clock running.

    Taking the  Snap the QB Rolled out, and Dumped the ball to the TE, he struggled  with  Wheeler Until Bing came  and help finish him off.

  they had to call for a measurment..and..amazingly  Made it  by 1 foot!.

 Sims threw the Challenge flag, Redskins  fans Booed him for that...have a good  2  minutes, the ball was moved back , Half a football, so they made the 1st down, by a half a football... Simms  did  win his challenge  as they had to change the spot.

  The  QB rolled out  again to his  right, there he was chased By Wheeler  coming on a Blitz, he ran towards the Left, he had the edge  if he could get past  Dalton....

Dalton caught the player out of the corner of his eye attempting to make a break for it.  Having pushed the player aside that he had been trying to pass, he makes it just in time to tackle him stopping him from preceding any further.

Had he been any quicker, he possibly could have taken the ball in to the EZ again.

   Caught for the Big lost, the Redskins had the ball 4-15 at thier own 40.

  The Punt  team came on with the  fans ( both sides) booing.

  Sims  Told Lewis  to Keep the  Defense on the filed, Bing went  back to  return the kick. Washington's   Punter   stood  ,watching the clock and  waited  for 1 second to show on the play clock,  This  ate off  another second or two , rather then letting the clock  run out and take the  penalty.
 The Punter MAde sure to keep the ball in bounds and Bing  gathered it in on the 8, he was brought  down on the Dragon 16.

Ben was ready and ran on at once, a broad grin on his face as he took his place and dropped into his three-point stance.

With the rest of the offence heading on to the field Steele slipped his helmet on and jogged out after them. There was still plenty of time to pour it on the Redskins D, as coach had wanted - and what kind of player defied his coach?!

Steele walked up to the line and had a quick look to make sure everyone was set, then took the snap and looked for an open man on a quick-hitter.

As the ball snapped, Ben was up and off seeking open space in his favoured spot curling in to centre field and heading for the posts.

  Bronk  turned Up filed , Batting  the CB's  hands  away  and  swim moved over the outside shoulder. The Safety saw this  and  rotated over to try and  Cut Bronk off from the Sidleline.

 Mackins did a skinny POst, But  curled in a hole in the Zone,

 The BAcks picked up the Blitz

Steele glances around and saw that Bronk didn't have a whole lot of space this time up, so he quickly looked back to Ben and Mackins. This time he went for the wideout, hoping that the defence would jump all over his preferred target (Ben) and leave Eddie free.

  Steele  Let the Ball Go  as Machins   settled into the Zone. The MLB  saw the  pass  and   headed to MAchins, loking to knock the ball out.  the Ball Got there in time   for  the WR  to make the  turn to the  outside. The MLB  Got a glancing blow with his headgear into   Machins' Lft thigh and  the WR stumbled  forward  Until the   FS came  and finished him off...

A few claps of applause was Mackins reward for his nice catch and turn, and it also called everyone else back to their positions. Steele waved them into place hurriedly, even at this late stage of the game. When they did settle he barked a few quick calls and then took the shotgun snap and looked downfield once more, this time for Ben.

Ben ran back to his place and dropped into his three-point stance ready for the next snap.

As soon as it came he was off at top speed curling around the defense and heading towards the posts...

   Steele  looked off Ben  By Looking to  Bronk, who was in a bit of  a wrestling match with the  Rookie  DB the Put on him. The ref  enevr Bothered to throw a Flag, even thought Bronk's  Jersey was  pulled down over his Pads.

  Steele fired towards Ben...

Ben turned his head to see the ball barrelling towards him. He caught it cleanly, tucked it under his arm and headed straight for the endzone between the posts. Miraculously, there didn't seem to be anyone in his way.

He heard pounding feet behind him, a hand... fingertips... brushed his jersey but he didn't break stride, but thundered into the endzone and almost delicately laid the ball down.

TOUCHDOWN!

He leaped in the air, arms aloft, grinning all over his face.

"HERE THERE BE DRAGONS! HEAR US ROAR!"

As usual Ben had run his route to perfection and Steele's pass hit him right in stride. The tight end plucked the ball out of the air and took off for the end zone, Redskins defenders trailing in his wake. Steele jumped a little in the air to get a clearer look past the line of scrimmage, and then kept jumping as excitement kicked in - Ben was going the distance! A simple turn-in had gone for a 73-yard TD!

It looked like the Redskins had long decided to pack it in for the night and were already looking to the showers, but James knew that play would have been a score on any day, against any opponent, so well had they executed. He stepped up and exchanged high fives and helmet bumps with his linemen and then headed for the sidelines, and he would congratulate Ben there.
