Lucas rooted in his seat but careful not to jar his leg.  He looked up as Adam came over and grabbed a drink.

He looked down and shook his head.  Slight sprain, wait out the game and ice it and I should be good for the next game.  Or risk it and go out and play.

He motioned towards the ice and gave a down-hearted sigh.  I guess you see which one I choose.

   he Nodded and tilted his   head left and right  , as he chewed on some icecubes,..well?..we can't  lose this one, and that's a fact....Steelers  don't seem to keen on trying to score...can't wait to see the papers  and the  NFL ta;k shows...'Steelers give up!"..

  Adam chuckles as he  adds,if we are ever on the other end of a score like this?....two thinks to keep in mind...Sims  will drive us to try and score..no matter how much time, no matter how  far down we are...the second thing? You don't want to go to practice after loosing a game for Sims!

  When  Santos  got smoked, the crowd stood Up...swaying to and Fro  singing...SANNNNN....TOAST!....SANNNNNN....TOAST!

 Smokey came over  by the them  and looked up,..they seem to be having Fun?

 Adam grinned as he shook his head,...that's because  we're  winning...its ok to poke  fun when your  winning...if we  were losing?..they would be calling for his head!

Celeste and the girls did their last set of cheers before lining up behind the players to congradulate and well wish the other team.

Celeste looked to Eve and the others with a wry grin.  I wonder how well mannered the other girls are going to be, she said as they slowly made their way to the Steeler cheerleaders.

Eve nodded in agreement Our challenging new practices may take a bit of getting used to especially since it necessitates learning different routines if the Squads can't keep up they shouldn't be in the league. After all we have just as much invested in the game as those on the field, albeit less direct focus. Moving to stand third in line after Celeste and Lu-Ti in the hope her physical presence would provide a deterrent to those who may want to start something with the Dragonetts.

 Duke  stopped and waited for the three of them, while the PAT  team went out for the extra point Dammit Bronk..almost had you that time...

 while the waited for the TV timeout, Worth called up from where the D was getting ready to take the field,HEY!..BRONK!

 when Adam looked, Worth pointed to the far end of the filed...Foils was headed to the locker  room...a trainer was carring his helmet..Foils  had no expression on his  face.

 Bronk Grinned,..can't  wait to see who come in, in his place!

Ben listened closely to Coach Sims, taking in his instructions and nodding.

Celeste and the girls had just finished stretching and were getting in their formation when the Colt's player nearly ran into them all.

Getting mixed up on who to tackle?  Celeste asks as the player starts to get up.  She knew that wasn't a Tackle player, but had to play it off any ways.

    Sims  nodded to the Offesne, he  said to  Bronk as Miles Dragged hinmtowards the Bench,..get that Blood stopped , or they'll keep you off the field...


    bronk was still fuming,..Bastard..can't make a Play so he has to grab someones grill?...dammit...wait  till the next run play...

 Harry  pushed  Adam towards the training Table,when did this happen..face mask..or  hit?

 his eyebrows  were furrowed in anger, his eyes turned up to look at HArry,..how many?

   Harry nodded to  his assistant and she  wiped  Bronk's  forehead, then  steried  it...Ow!..Comon!...the  damn needle  won't hurt that much!...

  The  girl giggled  a bit and Harry said,...yes it will.....

 the Needle  went In, Adam Winced and  gritted his teeth..Sloan face paled...at least..turned  light brown!..he moved to the Bench  and sat down covering his eyes.

  the second  stich followed, and Harry deftly Tied it off, clipped the stich then put   a Bit  tape over the  bit of guaze that covered it...I'm going to adjust the  pads in the front...should keep the headache away...


 as he  fussed with the Helmet, the  girl gave  Adam two pills and  a glass of water..he took them without even asking...a few Moments later   Adams  Helmet fit, but it was not going to be a fun time.

  He moved over to the Bench and sat on the top part of the  bench, his feet on the seat as he looked at Ben and Lucas.....Nice Blocks  guys..good Run Lucas....

  Nevers  went to say something to bronk , until he saw the Needle then he  walked away..he  heard the  Little WR ranting..the Coach chuckled  and  headed back  to the sidelnes, he stopped to get a drink and looks at Celeste  and the Dragonettes,

 ..That's  whjy god  didn't make him bigger...


 The Fans were booing a bit, but it was unclear who they were booing...

Ben came over to the bench.

"You OK, Adam? Nice one, Lucas."

He sat down to watch the next play.

The dragonnettes had done a couple of cheers while Celeste had turned to focus on the play when she saw the collision.  She winced briefly and held her breathe as Adam walked off the field and to Harry to be attended.  Giving a light chuckle at the comment by Nevers, she looked towards Harry and Adam.  She waited a moment for him to be taken care of first.  Not wanting to be an unnecessary distraction.

Taking a water break herself, she stepped towards the benches where Adam, Lucas and Ben were.

Took the bull by the horn, eh boys? she said teasing a bit.  She looked at Adam and winked.  She wanted to ask how he felt, but knew the answer instinctively and left it as it.  It would be the same answer regardless of the question.

Lucas shook his head when Adam came and took a seat.  I'd swear you were about 100 pounds more with that type of hit, he commented.  He gave a jilted smile.

    the  girl with the Drinks  came over , Adam took a cup of  powerade  and gave her a smile of thanks, Yeah, Ben...I'm ok.. I'm way madder then i have been in a while..Grabbing a Guy's  facemask is Bush league...he cost ne a touchdown...and what did they get?..a 2 inch penalty..

  He took a  drink of the power ade as he watched the Kickoff, then Nodded to Lucas,..wasn't the smartest guy in Pyshics class...but i know  speed  equals  force times Mass..or  something like that..so I make up for  the MAss, by adding more speed!

  He  turned  and  Saw Celeste and Smiled a bit,..Hey!..got them quieted  down a bit..maybe you girls can start your own noise?

Keep it up, she said.  Or we'll give you guys something to make noise about.  I'm certain we've got something to raise your spirits in our bags.

She patted his shoulder pad and came in on the side at an angle.  She whispered in his ear before placing a soft kiss on his cheek.

Be safe or at least get them just as hurt as you are.

"Force equals mass times acceleration," said Ben, who had paid attention in physics. "And we did get the TD next play. Grabbing facecages is right out, though. May I have a drink, please?" he asked the girl.

  The  girl smiles  and  holds the tray  with Water,or powerade.

 Adam Grins at Ben, though his  eyebrows  were still lowered so he looked a little Demonic...yep!  that's it!...didn't  really need that for  mySports Journalism degree..but i need one  more subject that fit that time of the day...one of my nerd friends..."  Take it with me..it'll be fun!"

 he shook his head, Took me  two weeks after  spring Practice to get my grade up high enough , so i wouldn't be threadign on thin ice!"

Ben grinned, taking a water.

"Thanks!"

He listened to Adam.

"Yeah, you can end up in some weird classes if you're not careful. I took a literature one once. That Austen is one strange girl!"

Even whilst chatting, his eyes were on the field.

  the  team  watched the Colts try to settle the game down...coming away with 3  points for their troubles.

  As the Colts  Lined Up to kick the FG. Sims  walked over to the Bench, calling the Offense together,..We have them scarted...we have the worried..their  own fans  are unsure.... go out there  and Light them up again...fight for  ever yard you can get...if  we matched thier score..all the did was waste time...if  we get 6...well...thier fans  will let them know about it!

"Right... here there be Dragons!" said Ben, eager to get back into action.

Back at the area where the other girls waited, she motioned for them to start the next routine.

She looked to Eve for their prompt.

  As Lucas  Caught the BAll and the Ref's  arms  went Up..the  Dsragonms  Jumped, putting Up their hands...Sims  Ran  down to the  10 yard line  Pumping His Fist..highly different , then his normal stoic  ways...

 The Congratulated the  O  as they came off the field, Walking  with Duke  aleady going over  the next series....

Eve appeared distracted but she was actually watching the Colts Cheerleader squad, to get a feel for their routines. She'd spent the last week reviewing these and noticed they follow a set series. Kicking her fingers as she'd worked out which one they were using. Crossing to Celeste she gave her a rundown of the next few routines their opposition would be using. Shall we rain on their parade she prompted grinning mischievously

Celeste had felt like she was ruining her concentration but kept quiet until Eve was ready to talk.  She'd prompted the girls to warm up and keep limber, and was nearly surprised when Eve turned around ready to move forward.

Indubitably, she said.  Let's show these mock cheers how real ladies do it.

The girls huddled together around Eve, not too closely in case she needed to show them something, but it was enough closeness that no one else would see what they were doing unless they were high in the stands.
