Let's go for it, she said giving Eve, Lu-Ti, and the girls a nod of approval.  The girls followed Eve's routine and began the mimicking cheer.

The D came off the field..Wilder was getting a right to the locker room on a golfcart, his leg propped up.

Lewis  was all over  Santos when he came to the sideline,..Dammit...Dammit man..you have one job...one  lousey Job, and that's ...NOT..to let a reciever get behind you...you understand that ...right?..NOT..let him behind you!

Santos unsnapped his helmet in disgust and  Pulled it off,..I read the Fake..I wanted to  hustle over   in case the  reciever  broke back...

Lewis  threw his head back so hard , his  headphones  fell  off,Dammit boy!...you do your job...you let your Teammates  do thiers....If the ball had gone to the  left side of the field, THEN..you can run across  and help get the ball carrier...We had them screwed....now?..they have Hope!

Re: Talking to the Coach

"I've changed sides now?" said Ben incredulously. "Nope. I'm still a Dragon, and now I'm going to stretch my wings and ROAR!!!"

And he bounded onto the field with the rest of the O, ready to do battle once more.

Re: Talking to the Coach

The Defense  came off the Bench..ready to try and stop the Colts, Duke  snapped   at them as they went past,Comon guys!..Pick me up...get the BAll back for me...

He   took off his  helmet. his  eyes   narrowed  in anger, Sims came over  and Pulled him  towards the Bench where the OB coach waited with the  Polaroids  and  the playbook
Sim  Gave  him a Playful whack on the Cheek,..forget it..we have   alot of game left..keep your head in the GAme...Work on those pictures...

he gave him another pat, and went back to the sideline to watch the D

Bronk came past on his  way to 'his seat" ..shake it off man, we'll get it  next series..we have them on the run...

Bronk sat down, the gril witht eh drinks  came over and he took one with a thankful nod, looking up at the screen to see his  TAckle at the end of the replay,Hey!..I made a Tackle!

Re: Talking to the Coach

the Fans  were rocking to the Music  until the commercial break was over..they grew  quiet as their  Offense  had the ball..slowly the Colts  hit the Dragons..trying to close the gap a bit.

Bronk chatted  with Ben and Lucas...Duke  came Over giving them each a pat,Pick me up  guys, I'll get us there...

Adam Grinned,..not a problem...that guy might never make a play like that  the rest of his career..he's not that good....

The QB Coach  caught up with  Duke and took him over   , hwere the O-line was talking to go over some protections.

Then Adam saw the BAll tipped and stood Up on the bench and Pointed to the Ball....

Re: Talking to the Coach

Mia stood on the sidelines, a short distance away from the bunch of players and other team personnel.  A microphone was gripped in one hand and an earpiece was nestled into one of her ears, providing her a feed to her on-site producer, who was sitting in the production van parked in the team parking lot.  She adjusted the ear piece and squinted into the sun, trying to pay attention to the action on the field while preparing questions in her mind at the same time.  She was going to try and grab Coach Sims as he ran off the field for half-time and ask some quick questions.  Mia wanted to make sure they weren't fluff questions, but at the same time, she couldn't expect Coach Sims to provide long answers as he made his way into the lockeroom.

Randy, her cameraman, stood besides her, his camera turned off, but still resting on his shoulder.  Randy, as usual, was sweating, despite the day not being notably warm.  Being about 50 pounds overweight and horribly out of shape, Randy found the simple act of standing a workout in itself sometimes.  Mia glanced briefly over at him and hoped he wouldn't have a heart attack following her onto the field at halftime to talk to Coach Sims.  Here she was four months pregnant and she still could run circles around Randy.

As if to remind her of her pregnancy, she felt a small kick in her belly.  These had started about a week or so ago and were a constant reminder of the life she now carried inside of her.  Mia placed one hand on the swell of her belly, which was now noticeably to anyone looking that she was pregnant.  Even the designer suit she was wearing, as stylish and well-tailored as it was, couldn't hide this fact.

Re: Talking to the Coach

Eve spotted the camera crew moving about the sideline; why on earth would anyone assign a pregnant reporter to undertake such a task. In her opinion it was ludicrous, they'd get in the way of the coaches, runners and players; the chance of catching anything worth filming was extremely limited, unless they crew arranged a set interview or orchestrated an event, the cameras in the booths had far better coverage for that. Turning away from the crew she informed the Squad of the next series of routines their rivals would be using. Within seconds the Dragonetts had lined up and started their own tease...

Re: Talking to the Coach

Bronk  Jumped Off them bench  then stopped twirling  around,..DAMN!...Almost a Pick!

Sims  Yelled,Punt Return!...Mik!. use your head!

the return team went on, a few seconds later the Ball bounced the wrong way and the  Dragons  were...'in a hole'

Coach Fry went Nuts, MIK!..WHAT THE HELL!

Mik was Jogging over to the sidelines  as the O went out on to the field,..Sorry Coach..i didn't want to take  a chance  and  fielding  it  on the run to the sidelines....

Cost us 17 yards!....you best hope  we get out of there!

Mik nodded and   went to the bench shaking his head.

Re: Talking to the Coach

Coach Sims’ angry words directed towards Mik reached all the way down to where Mia was standing and were audible to her above the roar of the crowd.  She made a note to ask Sims about the mental mistake, either at the halftime break or during the post-game conference.  Mia suspected that Mik would have received an even bigger tongue-lashing if the Dragons had actually been behind at this point.

Mia pulled her smartphone out of her jacket pocket and opened up the Twitter app.  One of the benefits of her position on the sideline during games was her ability to live-Tweet the action and provide additional insights that the viewer at home most likely missed on TV.  She had several thousand followers, mostly back in Jacksonville, and her TV station heavily promoted her online presence in order to attract more viewers to the local news coverage.

Mia’s fingers flew over her keypad as she occasionally glanced up to see how the team was doing on offense.

#Coach Sims pretty mad at Mik for muffing the punt return.  Hate to be in his shoes right now!

Mia hit enter and sent the Tweet off into cyber-space.

Re: Talking to the Coach

When Adam Pointed at the Big sreen, it was easy to see the BAll squirm  and Touch the turf under the Safety's  hands...the Crowd even Groaned...but  the roar washed over the  stadium , when the  Ref  ruled it an INT.

Those who had Cells ort radios, here the  broadcasters fromm both sides, say it would be Incomplete.

In Living rooms  all over America..the studio guys , and even the Guys in the Booth asked about the question.

The "expert' from  the NFL  Front Office  tried to put a spin on it,"well..we  must assume  he ruled the safety down before the ball came out..if so..it is the correct call and...

One of the  Studio guys interrupted, But its on the Turf!...If that would have  been a WR, it would have been called Incomplete...

once more the 'expert' tried to cover up,since the words  used were 'stand as called' we have to assume he did not  have enough evidence to overturn the call...

...But I saw it from here!... how can they say....

the studio feed was cut off, and the Guys in the Booth said,well?...Play stands  as called....Colts still have thier  work cut  out for them..but this  the second big turnover of the game, By  Duke...

Re: Talking to the Coach

the  defense  came off the field, rather angry..they did stop the Colts...but still allowed them to chip away at the lead.

Sims  called the Offense over, he raised the Mic  so he told talk to them without blowing  out the eardrums of the guys in the booth,..Ok..they got  3..barely..still too close...we have over  3 minutes to get down field...that's a Lifetime for us...and should be for them..There is  2  things i want out of this drive...points..and to shave some time off the clock....Line Up, Duke will call the plays at the line, so they can't sub....if we haven't scored by the 2 Minute warning..they Go all out..make sure you save one Time out for out Kicker, if  we can't push the ball in..Understood?

The Players  Nodded as they turned to watch the return team

Bronk saw  Lewis and Miles  head out onto the filed, followed by Fry as they tried to get Sims   off the field...

Bronk  shook his head, the  second flag didn't matter..the first one was enough  to give them the 3.... whistle Blew to end the  1st half, the team headed to the locker rooms...a Bunch of  angry dragons...

Lucas simply stood with his arm's crossed and shook his head and turned to walk towards the locker room.  He could already hear the scolding from the coach long before they even walked into the entry.  This was going to be a long halftime.

Ben stalked off the field. It had been drummed into him from an early age, first by his father then by a succession of coaches, that you did not question referees... but this was the SECOND dubious decision and he was finding it hard to hold it in.

Adam watched Santos get burned again. he shook his head, Mini Camp had pointed out his drawbacks, but the fellow  seemed to never  quite qork on them, thinking his speed was all he needed..

Bronk stood On the  BAck of the Bench now  so he could  see the play...he saw the Corners  were in Man...and shook his head,,, Smith was going to eat the rookie  alive!...But  when the Dragons dropped out of  Man and rotated into a Zone, it was....to Bronk...like an art form, no ballet could match!

Wroth turned to  the one sidelinem even as Bing turned to the other..it doubled up both WRs..without  giving  a Checkdown to Plank...not that Plank was looking...when worth Picked off the Pass, Bronk  Jumped from the Bench with a  Yell and Grabbed his helmet

Re: Talking to the Coach

Nevers  came over to the Offense, Motioning all the O players there...Alright..these guys just don't get it...they are still playing   by the 'old NFL'....We  try and score  everytime we have the ball...we don't care about clock...we don't  care about  score...the only score the  means  anything to us...is the NEXT..one... he was looking around  at  everyone  Nodding. He could see the  Most of the Players understood...it was part of the 'interview' process, to try to get as many players who would  buy into the new Offense.

..The defense will do what it does...we hope they hold them without a core...but the bottom line?...it doesn't matter how much they score...if  we score  more...

now?..no matter what happens  this next series, we should get the ball back  halfway through the third...give or take a Minute...The Colts are  going to do one of two things....1....they will think we will go into the tank like most NFL teams do with a lead....That's not gonna happen....2. They will realize  that we are trying to score  ...and they will try to keep pace....That won't happen either....our  team was based on skill and speed...thiers is  based on  power  and Skill...Speed  wins..every time...

..get drinks..get ready..this  is when all that runnign in practice  begins to pay off...
