I suspect he's probably doing as much watching of You-Why, making sure the droid doesn't start amputsting the tech's fingers or something...*grin*

Actually, I'd rather watch the tech than You-Why.  That droid scares me... :(

And rightfully so.  I don't scare easily...but he makes me nervous, sometimes.  I'm definitely glad he's on our side (for now...)

Hah!  One idea I had, which sadly wouldn't have worked, once I thought about it seriously, because of the time span involved, would have been to have the alien say, "Please, take the infant to Tfalta Dawl who will get her adopted.  Her name is Rey, and she is our only hope."  :D

Oh man, that would have been great. She would have been our only hope, after several OTHER Only Hopes have been exhausted.

It's funny how different games and groups have different cultures.  In some groups, doing something irrational and heroic gets you grief. :)

Yep, in many games, for example, saying, "Let's attack the moon-sized battle station with a handful of fighters!" would, apparently, result in a vote to kick you from the group, and get you called a noob.  :p

That's it exactly.  I wasn't referring to IN GAME consequences - such as it being a BAD IDEA (tm).  I meant above game consequences, like... what you said. ;)

Heh...kinda reminds me of one of the groups I used to play in.  We started things up before everyone got there that night (we had a bunch of former players back in town, so we were essentially 'putting the band back together' and dusting off some characters that had kind of been retired, so not everyone's character was in the same location to start.)  Since we hadn't been together as a group in years, there was a lot of side chatter...which, normally, doesn't bug me, as I tend to be as much a part of it as everyone else.

That night, however, I just felt it was a distraction, so at some point, I said, "Look...can we just focus on the game until Marla gets here?  Because I know she's gonna do something that's going to put a massive wrench in the works, and I want to get as far as possible before she does it."  (I should point out that Marla is basically like a sister to me, and we've been extremely close friends for over two decades, so this wasn't said in a mean-spirited way...)  People who'd been playing in the group recently all agreed, which kind of knocked away any dissenting votes, so we got down to business.

Soon enough, Marla arrived...and before anyone could say anything, the GM declared loudly, "Nobody tell her ANYTHING."  He then proceeded to tell her what her character would know of the situation (she was masquerading as an Imperial officer, in command of a Star Destroyer that we were trying to infiltrate, to rescue a prisoner).  He got done, asked her what she wanted to do...and she proceeded to order troops to do the ONE thing that was most likely to blow our cover.  I just looked at the rest of the group, and said, "See what I mean?"

(For the record, we succeeded in rescuing our prisoner, and escaped from the Imperials...with Marla's cover still secure.  But it was a real nail-biter...)

Poor Marla!  ^_^  But it all turned out right, so...

Now, I've not been here for a few days, and I'm biting my own nails to see what Juragga decided to do.  ^_^

Bad dice or no bad dice, I think Juragga's default action should always be SMASH THE THING.

In some games I've been tempted to just write my character as an incompetent boob, because that's what he ends up being anyway... but ah well.

I'm sorry, Juragga.  It can be frustrating.  Dramatic moment, try something that REALLY makes sense, and the dice say no.  :(

And then the GM remembers the extra two dice for the ship's fire control system, adds them in, and suddenly it's a hit!  Shame we don't know a GM who does things like that...  ;)
