I'm still here.  No rush, just letting you know since I wasn't on for a couple weeks.  Life happened, I need to catch up the game I run now, lol.

In reply to Showrunner (msg # 743):

Having a bit of a nervous breakdown right now, I already knew part of what was coming our way before we locked ourselves in a premade snack box.

Re: 3rd OOC

So Bohannon is taken care of for the moment. Karen could respond to Hank, but Hank moved on, so it'd pretty much be nothing more than a middle finger. Tom can now probably reply to Hank and they can discuss what's out there. Unless you're looking for New Mexico to do it?

Dominic, what are you going to do next? You could talk to Isabelle for a bit. Or somebody else.

Who's going to start talking about getting out of here.

If this barn is a dead end let's write our way out of it really quick. If not then use its relative safety to start to tell some character story. Talk to each other for a bit. Prepare the caravan's last meal they have left before the clock starts ticking for them starving to death. Talk about where you guys want to go next. We've got two new people ready to jump in to the story when the caravan gets to the next town.

What specifically do you need from me in this scene right now to get the ball rolling?

Re: 3rd OOC

Sorry I got distracted by something shiny...anyway lets see if we can't Macgyver our way out of this. So shooting / hacking our way out isn't a viable plan nor is crowd surfing *Pauses to picture crowd surfing across a horde of zombies* what are people's thoughts on setting the dead on fire using hay and an oxy-acetylene torch?

Its a wriggly tin barn if memory serves so shouldn't catch fire and it may well reduce the dead to ashes by morning-ish

Re: 3rd OOC

There's a lot of zombies, that's what Tom told me. I'm leaving it up to NM to decide how to bring up Wyoming, and potentially the rest of the Lost Boys are out there also. I have an idea I've been runny by Shadowrunner, though the number of zombies may make it a bit...tricky.

Hey lets hear it, it can't be any worse than using scorched earth tactics. That and it'd give us a chance to iron out any kinks OOC

Re: 3rd OOC

Well, basically before the doors were written closed before everything was flushed out with the GM I was going to have Hank distract the horde to draw them away, lose them, run into Wyoming somewhere, then maybe bring him back to give the Caravan and Lost Boys an easy link. Since that didn't work out I was thinking draw them horde to one side of the barn then slip out like Benson had suggested, repeat. Though with the numbers and the Lost Boys already being here...

Re: 3rd OOC

Ah yeah I had a similar idea; set fire to the RV draw the walkers away then slip out the back; problem being the sheer volume of walkers makes drawing them away a little...impracticable. Ok so that brings us back to the human bonfire and hope that A) the barn doesn't catch fire and/or B) we don't all die from smoke inhalation.

The only other thing I can think of is if Kaidan turns up in his truck and the engine noise draws them away.

Re: 3rd OOC

I think that one of the big ideas that we were considering in the background is that one of you (any volunteers?) finds a way to squeeze out of the barn and physically leads them away. I have one character in mind if you guys think, based on your impressions of the size and distribution of the horde, that this person could manage the task alive. If it is a one way trip, then I have somebody else that'll do it, but before we do anything hasty I want everybody locked up in there until you run out of food and you're desperate. I want staying in the metal barn to mean certain death and escaping into the grasp of the dead to be a better option.

So let me know? how big is the horde? Do they wrap all the way around the barn, or is there far fewer on the back side? Is the diversion task a suicide mission?

Also, I'd like the characters to politely discuss (fight out) the options in character to see what they figure. I think, based on my schedule right now, Bohannon is passed out, or just moping in the corner with his sore leg, and Karen is sleeping off the Vicodin or whatever she took. She was up all night crying about her son beside Ricky's grave, so she needs to recover.

I'll shoot for getting some Izzy dialogue in for Dominic, and then some New Mexico response for Hank.

Re: 3rd OOC

Well it took me a little while but i've finally found a third option. What if we were to pull a zed or two inside and make Justins world famous zombie gunk and then have some or all of the group simply walk out?

Dominic, one does not simply walk out of the barn.

So...that's a no to the zombie gunk then? Well that's ok because I have another plan, but for that I'll need a ramp, a motorbike and some of pyrotechnics's :D

OK so this has become kind of quiet, I was kind of waiting on Karen (seen as Dom essentially said he would outright murder her son) is there anything I can do to help move this along?

I'm not quite sure, I was kind of waiting to see the results of the kids investigating a way out and everything. Still here though. I'll get a post up IC today when I get home to sorta poke things.

Re: 3rd OOC

Hey guys...

So... I wrote us into a corner and I kinda lost my momentum. I though this scene would work out for kind of slowing things down, letting us catch up. But really for me it just fell flat. What I think I'm going to do is write up and ending for the barn including some of the things we'd discussed a while back and then move us into a position where Dominic, Hank, Lorenzo and (I'd prefer Bohannon, but because of his injury then maybe...) Karen are out on the road just the four of them and the Caravan is camped somewhere safe and out of the way for now. Then the driving force of moving the story along would fall equally on all four of us.

I don't want to write for ten characters right now. I think if we're all just doing one each We might be able to find a pace that works.

I'll find out if Katherine and Adalaide are interested in joining us and our first scene will be finding the two of them. The next thing will be for the "four hunters" to find a new home for the Caravan. We'll just head out in the RV and see where the road takes us.

What do you think, does this sound like a good fix?

I'll let you guys decide. Do you want to bring the limping Bohannon with you insisting that he's "fine," or bring Karen with you because you don't trust her to be left alone with the others.
