Saskia has a single pouch, but the carrying capacity is relatively small (it can't carry anywhere near 100 lbs).  It weighs 3 lbs and carries 50 lbs.  Not sure if we have enough pouches amongst us to really carry that much - a mule might still be good.

However, getting one on the other side of the portal has its merits.  Just don't know how easily that will be done (or if Victoria will quite have the pull that she does in the Misty Valley).  @Fate?


I suspect that Vǫlundr would prefer to move on directly.  Saskia is inclined to keep moving, but is less certain about where the next portal is.  So, we may spend a few days in the Isle just in transit and gathering a bit of information.

In theory, the presence of the Fey is stronger on the Isle ... so, we may be able to talk to them and get some information on the Other/First World.  Or maybe not; as they may know nothing of Asgard or the Norns (but maybe something on the Lich King?).  Saskia has a single rank in Diplomacy (which I believe is a class skill for a Pally - so, a decent bonus, if we can find one willing to talk).

This is not a suggestion for this trip, more an idea that popped into my head.

Frequent portal travelers should find who makes these bags of holding and get one/some big enough to hold people.  Travel on the cheap, manawise.

bag of holdings as a general rule are up there with artifacts.

You have smaller budget versions like pouches, they also adhere to the general rule (like bag of holdings) that live things dont go in them.

I actually don't know how many are in the party, i know i gave them out during character magical starting equipment here and there (a point of convenience for strength challenged characters) but i honestly am not sure how many are floating around currently.  This was considered fair since the selection of the pouch meant they were giving up access to other potentially useful items.

Saskia is 'home' there.  If it can be found, she should have a reasonable idea to know where to find it.

Victoria's financial pull there will be much reduced.  While the Emerald Isle is in theory part of the Euro Empire, it has strong sense of independence and is not inclined allow itself be taken advantage of.  The Empire for it's part is inclined to accept what they have to avoid a bloody conflict.  Victoria's mother would probably hope that her daughter know that a mule is not worth being the political capital she would cost the empire if she acted badly.

Her standing there is perhaps on par with Mei's or Saskia's.  So while she's not a commoner, and in some situations she may bring to light her noble station, she's pretty far from home, and shouldn't expect as much support.

Sorry I have also been a bit MIA. The holidays and beginning of the semester is always a bit chaotic.


The observant will also note that Sara carries very little, but yet seems to have much of what she needs. In other words, while she is discreet about it she also has a pouch.

It is still T4 season here lucky for us W2 season was not that bad.

Had a funeral for a great uncle passing not too long ago, and now my great aunt has passed.  That's actually the last of a generation and my mom is now the second eldest in the family hierarchy.  Tis the season it seems for people passing (my dad's anniverasary of passing with a couple of months back too so... yeah it's a thing it seems).

Still busy as sin, but i aspire to post something today, perhaps after lunch is the plan at the moment, i could use a diversion from reality.

My condolences on your loss, Fate.  I hope that you are doing okay (losing family members is never easy).  Take the time you need to heal up and come back to us if and when you can; your health and well-being are always more important than a game.  Of course, if the game is a healthy diversion, then by all means - Game on!

Most certainly.  My best friends wife passed away from cancer.  I hate that disease.  And I'm old enough to lose a lot of friends.  So please, I understand your pain.  Please, hang in there, and remember, no one is forgotten while one remembers them.

Out of the blue I got this text message from my cousin's daughter:

"Weird question… Can you gift me a canon ball that is enchanted that doesn't effect my speed in DND?"

So I asked "Watcha gonna do with your +2 cannonball of lightness?"

"Have Fun"

"Well, then by all means. I’ll wrap your enchanted cannonball and have it teleported to the portmaster in Neverwinter."

Back and almost caught up from vacation.

Might need a day or two more to finish house things.

It's been a really rough couple of weeks (months?).

I won't bore you with the details, being honest, i'd have trouble recalling the sorid mess myself, and none of us are here to really share personal woes, were all here to forget about it more, so to say it mildly i've missed you peeps.  Going to make an effort to get back in the swing of things.
