Sounds fine to me, @Fate; RP through the holidays is good and then pushing on in the New Year sounds ideal.

Honestly, I don't know if Saskia/Vǫlundr can be that convincing - I mean, Mei and Sara are justified in being skeptical.  But, one could say that about pretty much any adventuring enterprise... :D  Saskia is obviously not quite right in the head, on a number of levels.  Which may make her as the `quest giver` not ideal potentially.  But, she is the most invested (along with Heska/Clotilde); so, there is that.

Nice!  Happy (almost) Birthday, Victoria!  Had a friend in college that had the 25th as their birthday.  Said that is sucked since most people just gave just one present for both birthday and Christmas. :(  I can attest as another December baby that it often happens for anything `close` to the holidays (the one-present/combined-present thing).


It's also palindromic: 12/21 (or 21/12, if you are going euro-style... which makes it - at least, for a Rocker like Zander - a fine Rush album as well).

My eldest is a December kid, less than two weeks from christmas. We've tried very hard to pay attention to both days equally, although now that she's an adult she doesn't really care. When she was a kid though, we constantly had to remind everyone that they were two separate occasions.

so... yea this short slow roleplaying has been good for my mindset on where the adventure is going.

Ive dropped clues to players here and there on what and how to go about stuff.  Presuming player roleplay and share, information should start mixing and moving us along.

Whoa!  Exposition dump in the IC thread!  Thank you, Fate!  I was sort of loosing track of all the disparate facts/threads (and RPing every single one wasn't likely to be fruitful/productive to the main storyline and would take way too long - even if the RP would have been fun (especially with this group)).

Like Kristi, I moved over to the responsive site a while ago (been pushing on it for over a year now); it was a bummer to lose the two columns on the main page on the desktop and took a little while to get used to, but there are a lot of nice tweaks that make the site overall much nicer on mobile and tablets (which I switch between all three form-factors fairly frequently).  One nice thing, is that max page width can be set (up to 2000 pixels - it defaults to something like 1350px) in a custom theme (which I always use to get my green background fix) and that means no matter the window size, the page content will be sized up to that large; for my 27" monitor at home, that is more than ample width even when maximized - but, when i reduce the window size (to do side-by-side composition and such), the page contents adjust automatically, which is pretty nice (funny that, being responsive and all).

Yeah, i had it on the calendar to try and get the campaign back on the rails, and end prologue roleplaying, so it's a little bit early, but it looked like peeps might have been hitting a rut so i thought it was well timed.  Anything extra that might have needed to be roleplayed can be blue booked i think, though general questions can be asked here.

So, plot-wise, I'd love to find Skuld first, but the whole 'new unknown body' aspect may not make that option that great (or easy).  We can ask around, I guess?  We'd need rumors or additional information on where to start looking (which I suspect is where the find Asgard option came from); talk about a proverbial needle in a haystack.

I wonder if trying to use the Gates to get to Asgard might not be the easiest route (as Fate noted, if we can get 'there' Skuld may either be there or have left clues on how to better find her); as the gates are a materially (and reasonably well-known) quantity.  It is, at least, worth exploring, I suspect.  Saskia has a distinct sense that North is the proper direction.  The gates will at least take us to the Emerald Isle (and hopefully beyond).  To get to Asgard, I suspect that it may require some additional constraints/conditions to access its potentiality(?), presumably.

Anyways, those are my initial (very rough and not all that well-formed/informed) thoughts.

i have a general sense of what should eventually happen, but to be honest, it's possible that the duration is beyond the 'adventure' so, at some point it will 'resolve' and a break will be made for the story line, the question is if Skuld will be there or not at the end.

Well, if you don't know the answer to that question at this time, then I don't know the answer either ... :D
