Chapter One
Clotilde was thankful for the lodging, but Heska was bored. The impressed memories of the Valkyrie were not happy being idle, and Heska pushed Clotilde to take assignments that would take her out in the field, whether it be escorting a priest to a mission, or pilgrims to their destination, or simply keeping temple caravans warded, it didn't matter to the valkyrie, she wanted some sort of action. Clotilde for her part was a little down about Saskia's lengthy absences, and was grateful for the time that they were able to spend together. It was much harder the second time around. Having been apart for the year that they were, and to reunite was glorious, and everything she'd hoped for, but the sudden parting after the joyous reunion was a bit hard to take. Still, she didn't complain. She knew what she'd signed up for, and she counted her blessings after what she'd been through, there was no point in being sour about it.
Her days when not out on a mission or assignment involved training with her weapons, and meditation, although the impatient Clotilde was not a particularly good example for meditation and prayer, and Heska's influence on her made that even less so. Still, she tried to present herself to be a good follower, and did what was asked to the best of her abilities. The best assignments were the ones where she got to use a combination of her sneaky skills, and her blade skills.
