Action Summary:

Using the truck to support her, Rowan stood. A little awkwardly because of her wounded arm, she took a poultice in the form of a pressure bandage from her paramedic bag and started binding her injury. Immediately, her bleeding stopped and her arm felt much better.

As Roadkill staggered into a crouch, weaving a little, he tried to draw his Commando SMG using his practiced quickdraw skills. Unfortunately, blood from his wounded arm made his hand slippery and he fumbled a little. Using his injured arm he managed to fire a single shot from the hip, aided by the attached laser sight, and miraculously managed to hit one of the damned in the head! The .50 SA round punched through the bone and rotten flesh, pulverising the skull.

Nodding in satisfaction, he looked back at his truck. Nothing really stuck out about it as a weapon, although it was certainly better cover than the blasted pavement where he lay. Dakota had left a half-dozen Molotov cocktails made from Spook Juice in the trailer fighting position as proof against bikers getting too close. If nothing else, the truck's size and weight made it a potent weapon but not sitting still and not against individuals.

Finally, the damned coven started to fight back, although their numbers had been whittled down from thirteen to seven remaining horrors. The two on the far right sprinted towards the rear of the trailer. They reached it and started to wrench at the rear doors, which Smoker had barred from the inside. Smoker heard them screeching and cursing, and the metal starting to bend under their unholy strength.

The other five turned as one to Arthur. They all held out their right hands, and green glowing skulls appeared in their palms. As one, they drew back and flung their glowing missiles at the Templar. They all hit, blowing Arthur into large, bloody chunks. Both arms were chopped off, his head was splattered apart and another green flaming skull punched through his chest.

Stunned at the ferocity and horror of her mentor being so brutally murdered, Michaela screamed in horror and disbelief, "Arthur! Nooo!"

With the horror of Arthur being taken out as quick as he was taking them out just  a few seconds earlier, Roadkill ignores any pain he may of had and heads for his cab, for both cover and as a way to stop the evil ones from breaking in.

If the truck was the beeping type when put into reverse it would as he quickly backs up about 10 yards and then slamming on the brakes, hopefully making it easier for the others to get to the passenger side and to knock the eeeevil coven away from the back doors.

Action Summary:

Shifting into Reverse, Roadkill started to back the truck up. Unfortunately, the gearing for a big rig meant that this proceeded very slowly. With a loud beeping sound. The evil witches trying to pry open the rear doors were scarcely distracted and simply climbed up on the rear.

Pulling down the folding ladder, Smoker quickly climbed up to the hatch and threw it open. He climbed out onto the roof, unslinging his rifle.

Action Summary:

Roadkill stomped on the gas pedal, and when he thought he'd backed up enough, he hit the brakes.

At the back of the trailer, the doors creaked but held. Four of the evil harridans (#1, #2, #8-9) marched ominously and purposefully towards the front of the truck. Oddly, they seemed to ignore Michaela (who, so far, hadn't yet successfully attacked) as they passed by her, but then one hissed at her, "that's right "sister", this isn't your fight!"

All four cocked their throwing hands back, and flaming green skulls appeared out of nowhere, then they threw. All four shots struck the front of the cab and the engine compartment, although the armoured plating seemed to absorb the punishment with a series of loud clangs! Rowan recognised the spell they were using as a form of "Eldritch Blast", but different. Then she realised that instead of hurling physical objects (the most effective ones being human skulls) they were somehow conjuring the skulls out of thin air into their clawed hands. For herself, when she used this spell, she still had to thrown an object of some kind she carried or picked up.

The last one (#3) strode the other way around the fountain, towards Smoker. She also hurled a flaming skull, this time at Smoker directly. It slammed into his left arm with a shower of green sparks. His armoured duster absorbed the blow somewhat, but he could still feel the heat and his arm stung from the hit.

Action Summary:

Rowan knelt down and picked up the AK she'd previously dropped. With it, she fired a burst at the head of one of the undead. With the aid of the laser sight she hit, blowing its head off. There were three left nearby.

Hearing her friend's cry, Michaela hesitated for a split second. Rowan had opened fire without getting to cover, drawing the deadly attention of the evil creatures. Without a doubt Rowan could soon be as dead as Arthur. Hoping that Rowan hadn't just sacrificed her life to save her, she sprinted past her around the other side of the cab and climbed in, to (relative) safety. Michaela kept the door open, should Rowan survive and want to come inside, as well.

Action Summary:

The undead creatures seemed to be a little taken aback by Rowan's ferocity, and seemed to pause. Kalashnikov in hand, Rowan took the opportunity to sprint around the front of the now-stopped truck to about halfway down the far side.

Inside the truck, Michaela set down her Katana and picked up her antique Winchester. She jacked the lever-action, loading a shell into the chamber and poking the long barrel out the shuttered window in the sleeper. Drawing a bead on the head of one of the abominations, she pulled the trigger. The bullet flew true, smashing through her withered, rotten skull. The body collapsed in a heap of rags, bone and dried skin.

"YEAH! Eat that!" Marshall's Note: Michaela used a White chip to gain an additional die for her attack roll, resulting in a success. Players can do this as well.

As if on cue, the remaining five undead made arcane gestures in front of them. Suddenly, their outlines started to blur, and shimmer as if affected by the heat. They were still there, but it was somehow harder to focus on them, like they were distorted in some way.

Action Summary:

Smoker climbed out into the sandbagged fighting position, keeping low. From there he was at fairly well protected, but the trade off being if he could fire at someone below, they could fire at him! Ignoring the pain in his left arm, he rested his rifle on the low sandbagged wall, using it to help him aim. Which he'd need, as for some reason it was hard to draw a bead on the strangely shifting figure.

His target (#3) conjured and then threw another green flaming skull at him. Missing, it sailed overhead leaving an oily foul-smelling trail behind it. Below, he could hear the two on the back of the trailer still wrenching at the door, tearing at the metal.

Not wanting to keep being targets for fire from inside the armoured cab, the two surviving undead to the right of the fountain (#1 and 8) ran towards the side of the truck, getting out of sight of the armoured cab's shutters. Unfortunately, it meant they were both out of view. "Damn it all, I can't see them!" Michaela cursed.
