Qu'elle drag! As we say here.

Reminds me of when I was let go from eBay, just a telephone call.

In reply to The Marshall (msg # 750):

That is bollocks. A very annoying situation. Also reminds me of the time i went into work and they got confused because they were meant to tell me to not come in again.

I'm out at a quilt show this weekend so NPC me as needed....especially if Jane gets to shoot at something.  :)

Planning can take a long time too. So maybe it will not ave started yet.

Re: Question on sword

Posse,

The components for this spell are the hair from a young girl, a caterpillar cocoon and a small patch of lizard skin, and if trying to mimic someone in particular something personal (preferably hair, skin cells, nail clippings, blood, etc.) is needed. TN 5 to get most components, so 5 hours to gather materials -1 hour per each raise Scrounge.

Transformation is TN 5 (Academia: Witchcraft) to cast. lasts for 1 hour plus another for each Raise when cast.

In reply to Rowan Dawson (msg # 753):

The base time is 5 hours, you have about 3 before sunset. However, if Smoker rolls really well (at least a couple raises) then the time could be reduced enough.

A Salvage/Scavenge roll. TN 5. It would be best to make at least 2 "raises" (15 or higher).

Re: Question on sword

In reply to Sgt. Ian Sullivan (msg # 758):

No worries, glad to see you back!

To catch everyone up, the party returning from Boise with Aiken's sword spotted a group of Destroyers led by a lesser Anti-Templar hiding out in at Jerome's airport to the west of Skeleton Butte, presumably waiting to ambush Simon and his entourage on their way to challenge Modeen on Skeleton Butte. The two groups of the Posse met up and squashed that element by blowing up a fuel truck. Now, they've met up back at Eden, an abandoned farming town not too far from Skeleton Buttte.

Using the dead Anti-Templar's captured black tabard and sword, Rowan is trying to cast a newly-acquired spell to change Jason's appearance into Modeen's Lt. to get in close to Modeen. Several Destroyer bike jackets were also salvaged so it should be possible (if desired) to fake some kind of entourage accompanying him, enough to fool Modeen long enough to get in close. At that point, the rest of the Posse will storm in using the technical and up-gunned rig to mow down the 20 or so remaining Destroyers while Schaeffer provides long-range sniper support.

There are a few elements about Modeen's practical invulnerability to consider, which I will point out IC now.

Re: Question on sword

Posse,

Please do not make OOC posts in the IC thread. I will simply delete them.

Rowan Dawson:
Both have advantages
The first adds to the chaos as we 'chase them in'

The second adds to it as they start their operation

Yes, both could be advantageous. Someone make the call!

Jane Guin:
In reply to Rowan Dawson (msg # 530):

ooc:  I say don't give them too much time because we don't know how long the spell will last or if they will see through the spell.  Hate to arrive to a bunch of dead bodies and they were our group and not theirs.

The spell will last for the better part of an hour at least, as far as Rowan can tell. (In Rowan's experience spells tend to be all or nothing; if they work, they work.) You don't know if anyone can see through the glamour/illusion; none of you did, but then again you don't know Simon or the dead Anti-Templar all that well.

Oh great we have a Hollow Man for a GM. Quick break out the lightning bolts and the annoying voice over that you want to shoot.

As for the timing of the second group. I would like a couple of minutes so that our arrival which is sure to cause some confusion gets interrupted by the main group. Hopefully Modeen's dumb butt will be close by then so that we can throw a Go to Hades Party for him.

Thanks! There's an issue with the "rear" route snapping-to the wrong road, should be fixed, and the cursed orchard is now the green area on the right.

I use Google Maps for a few of my games both on Rpol and through email.

There are other similar maps for this game in previous locations, if you zoom out. Mainly the rad zone around Wichita and the town of Truth or Consequences.

Re: Question on sword

I did...

Maybe I'll try out one of my background ideas sometime, which is to 'recreate' Santa Barbara, CA as the fictional 'Santa Theresa' as a locale for modern games.

Re: Question on sword

In reply to Smoker Nix (msg # 771):

Cool! I re-imagined "Samson" in Call of "Cthulhu/Cthulhu Now/At Your Door" (really, San Francisco) as the fictional city of "San Rosendo". San Rosendo is set about on the coast halfway between SF and LA, using the rough map in "At Your Door." I've used it as a setting not just for At Your Door but a zombie apocalypse themed game.

I would assume if Roadkill wants to keep the trailer attached then that's fine, you head in the front. This plays into the "chasing" Simon and his captor and requires an approach from the west.

Posse,

So you're coming in from the north?

With or without trailer? This will affect handling. Without the trailer, the truck is not too bad offroad, plenty of power if a little dodgy on the ground clearance.
