I need clarification on what Jason's doing, and which chips he's receiving.

We are also waiting on Rowan's turn.

Re: OOC Thread IV

Ok so using a red from Smoker to activate the red chip ability of Colada on Tizona. And if Colada hits borrowing a white from both Smoker and Jane I believe to activate the White function twice.

So the tac block should look more like this

Action 1) Tizona x2, Colada
Action 2) Tizona x2, Colada
Action 3) Tizona x2, Colada

Red chip spent(Smoker)

I think that is what we discussed anyway.

In reply to Rowan Dawson (msg # 176):

Ian: No problem, for this combat all players were supposed to post after Baphomet. Don't forget your .tac bloc summarising what you're doing. Have a look at my post or that of the other players.

Jason: I assume you are not dual-wielding. If so let me know ASAP as I will resolve this combat tonight.

Going forward there will be no "posting order". I will post first, then all players post.

1) Everyone makes a Quickness check at the beginning of the turn. I will draw cards.

2) I will post for the opposition first before the players. They will probably all go on the same initiative card to make things simple.

3) Once that happens all you players make your posts. Some will probably go first

4) I'll resolve all actions in order of initiative. If there are conflicts I'll try and resolve them when I post. This might mean I could change player actions, you'll just need to trust me.

Re: OOC Thread IV

In reply to The Marshall (msg # 180):

Sorry, it got a little too late there to get my post in.

We need attack rolls for Jason and Smoker. In fact, I think I need 9 rolls for Jason!

I corrected the turn chart to reflect actual Actions available this turn as Baphomet's Overawe cost some PCs 1 Action. Baphomet's Overawe doesn't kick in until after Jason/Vundra/Smoker get a chance to act this turn so if he lives the Overawe will take effect for them next turn.

Interesting rule observation: to Dodge or otherwise avoid an attack, Baphomet must discard a sleeved card or an upcoming Action. He is going to be hit with several attacks this turn, therefore he can only Dodge/Parry 3 of them before he runs out of actions.

In reply to Jane Guin (msg # 182):

OK! Jason really hurt him, Smoker stunned him and Trask administered the coup de grace.

I noted a few errors which I resolved in your favour. These were not gimmie's on my part, it was more a lack of knowledge of the ins and outs of the rules. But they certainly did help!

Jason spent Smoker's Red chip, so Smoker is down 2. But he didn't need the Whites so those can go back to the donors. Baphomet didn't get a chance to successfully carry out his Overawe attack and therefore no one suffers the effects.

What Smoker guessed was a medic was nearby the foot of the operating table. She had gouged out her own eyes with a scalpel. As Smoker helped Rowan locate a stretcher and additional useful medical supplies, they noted with a start that the medic was still moving.

OOC question does eye injury like that come under surface injury
Quote
A witch can make a concoction to heal wounds by tossing some ingredients into a big, old pot and stirring them around until they boil (about a half hour). After that, she has a healing poultice that keeps 1d6 days.

Once applied to an area, the poultice completely removes any surface wounds
in that area.
It has no effect on wounds caused internally, such as by a critter that jumps down the patient’s gullet and starts ripping out his insides, poison, or having a kabob rammed down his throat. (We’ve seen it all, friend.) It’s the Marshal’s call if the wounds location is not crystal clear.

Good question. It's a magical spell and is pretty miraculous. Still, I see it as being a kind of accelerated normal healing, like burned tissue, closing puncture wounds and lacerations. The poultice would definitely stop all bleeding and heal the wounds shut so it would definitely help. It won't restore her vision as her eyes are destroyed, at least as far as Rowan knows! but this is Junkyard, replacement eyes are not too hard to come by.

Re: OOC Thread IV

In reply to Rowan Dawson (msg # 188):

Yeah, she'll take some kind of a hit on her karma for that. Scrounging supplies is one thing, going through the pockets of the dead for their lunch money is another.

The D-21 has a bipod and heavy barrel, which makes it better for full-autofire. The optical sight makes it more accurate at range. The AK does a little more damage (4d8 vs. 3d8) and has a targeting laser.

There is no time listed for how long it is for the poultice to take effect. But normally, poultices should be kept on for an extended period. I would say hours to days, depending on the wound level.

Re: OOC Thread IV

In reply to Rowan Dawson (msg # 190):

Depends on the character. Rape and slavery could also be considered normal practice, depending on the crowd. For example, even a scavenger like Smoker might feel that taking valuables off the recently killed is a little too much like being a ganger, it feels different from if they're skeletons!

Most people don't have money any more, but as a Paramedic Rowan is probably very reluctant to take from victims (even if they were bad guys). But it's not unheard of for valuables to go missing on the way to hospital or after arrival.

Why not just play with it as I've posted.

You know what? The US Customs guy said the same thing on the way down. For us, Canada Day is not really comparable to the spectacle that is the 4th of July. I didn't say anything as it's usually not wise to engage the Border guards in philosophical conversations, probably very unwise.

Being Canadian is mostly a state of mind anyways. I've been down in the US on Canada Day a couple times before and found it a surreal experience. Canada Day is very low-key compared to Independence Day in the US; a BBQ with some friends and family, and we're good.

Yeah but very few are as flashy as Americans are. A BBQ and friends are enough for me too. I don't need the fireworks as 90% of the displays that I see these days are done by morons that I wouldn't trust with potato guns.

Normally my characters have a decent demolitions skill. Irony is neither of my two characters have an idea of how to mess with any kind of explosive. Case in point Jason and the grenade.
