Re: Labyrinth: Student room - Aki
Inside, in the darkened room, Fer could see men dressed in black from head to toe, cleaning the rest of Aki's room.  They were ninjas.

"Domestic ninjas? Hm. Beats french maids, I guess."
Still not actually stepping into the room, Fer cleared her throat, "Uhm, excuse me, is the lady of the house in?"

Re: Labyrinth: Student room - Aki
The moment Fer stepped into the room, the ninjas stepped into the shadows and vanished without a trace.  Fer did see a scroll rolled up on the table in her study, which if read, had more Japanese characters as if it were a list.

"Helloooooo?" Fer called out. "Just... Uhm... Sayin' hi..."
Giving a cursory glance at the scroll, but reading no Japanese herself, she shrugged. "Uhm, ninjamaids, if you could tell Aki I was here just to say hi? Er. Thanks!"

-->From Cafeteria

As the two of them head towards Aki's room, Joey will look down at her, "Would you like to take a walk outside?  Explore the campus grounds maybe?  I bet some of the gardens would be beautiful in the moonlight."

"Well, um, the back lawn then?" leading her towards the exit, heading outside and from there to the back of the school.

As they walk, "I can only assume that you had an unusual time growing up.  What was it like?"

"Well...it was a long time ago.  You could see all the stars in the sky, and nothing was far from the center of the universe.  There's a lot of places I can't go anymore...."  Aki replied as she followed Joey.

(To back yard)

From English Class
Aki opened the door to her room and turned on the lights.  Even with them, however, the room was still relatively dark, but it was a more inviting type of darkness, a place of rest and seclusion.  She put down her bookbag and waited for Karl to show up.

From English Class
Karl enters, eyes sweeping the room. He liked the calligraphy well enough- but something about them made him think more of sword strokes than paintings. It was as if he seen the steps of a lethal and bloody dance upon the wall... a warning- or more of the echoes?, he wondered as his eyes fell upon one of the J-pop icons staring at him.

"So what was up with those people? I know you said some of the big guns took care of it- but why are a couple'a guys trying to mess with you?", he sat his pack down beside the door, keeping his sketchpad in hand.

"How familiar are you with my heritage, Karl-kun?" Aki asked as she sat down.  She may need to explain some things before going into detail about his warning.

Re: Labyrinth: Student room - Aki
"Amatsu-Mikaboshi, that's your dad's name- or at least one of them- right? Kind of a steward of hell... and I think I heard of the name connected to with the Void... 'darkness between the stars'...", Theology is quite convoluted, with different images and symbols. Then add in the stories that move down through the ages, changing and shifting as a society does. Karl suddenly felt a sense of awe. This girl before him- his classmate- was the child of one of those figure from long ago. Sure, he felt he had deep roots as well, he associates himself with Munin- Odin's raven- but that was different.

"Soo, ummmm... what do we do about it? You said Siren and Minotaur took care of it- but surely that's not it... it's not like over and done, is it? Can we not find out who those two I seen were, better to know thine enemy, right?"

"Not really.  I was just scryed on recently, but I don't know who was on the other end, aside from the fact that it was a group of people." Aki replied with a bit of a sigh.  "My powers have greatly diminished so I cannot trace them, nor do I have confidence in my ability to confront them."

"So you know you were scried upon? This wasn't about watching you though... this was about getting something in the mail... or they thought you'd get it today... and something about you being disappointed if you didn't get it... but that part was nasty. Did you, ah, get anything in the mail today?"

Re: Labyrinth: Student room - Aki
Now the questions start. While Aki understood where she came from and what made her what she was, Karl was at a loss... or- more appropriately- he had to many ideas and nothing concrete. "Well, I really can't say... I mean, not because its some big secret but because I just don't understand. My origin is not so clean cut as I'm a piece of the lord of darkness."

He shrugged and suddenly realized how beautiful Aki would be in charcoal. So much of her essence was in shadow already... in darkness. Even this room with it's J-pop icons screaming in maddening color from the walls seemed to belong more in shadow around her.

"Before class I just kinda heard a couple guys talk... never seem'em but I knew I was hearing them translated some how... like they weren't talking in a language I knew- but I just got it. Usually what I see and hear is the past... Memory... but sometimes the present comes to me on the flutter of wings..."

Aki nodded.  "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you."  Aki sighed as she got back up, getting restless.  "So you heard something from someone?"

Re: Labyrinth: Student room - Aki
"No, no- no offense... just letting you know what I've got may not be as easy to rely on as what you got.", with that he gave a weak smile.

"I heard them on may way to my room right before class... even got a peak at their silhouettes, but they weren't really there... the first voice was asking about the next step- and the other was being creepy... savor the evilness of my evil kinda shit. That's about all I got though."

Aki looked at Karl for a moment.  "Are they that incompetant that they were in your presence and didn't notice?"

Karl looked a bit perplexed for a moment, then shook his head, "No... I wasn't there with them... I just kinda seen where they are- although I can't tell where that was."

"Some kind of clairvoyance?"  Aki was trying to understand how Karl got his information, but his language seemed difficult for her.

Aki nodded.  "I see.  There isn't really much any of us can do.  We don't know where they are, or what they are ultimately doing, so we're stuck for the most part."
