Re: Scene 3.2: The Tremont Hotel
A few of the girls had been knocked off their feet, and Freddie called out to his goons, "Forget them! Get this damn table off me!"

The remaining girls began to run, following the heroes who were already leaving.

We're out of initiative / combat at this point; please feel free to post openly. Dot and Riel are over Marcus' shoulders, and the mooks and bouncer are busy doing damage control. The sounds of chaos haven't been overheard in the club over the pounding music, so no one is acting oddly out there.

In reply to All-seeing Eye (msg #267):

Seeing the others heading out, he creates a chopper blades for silent travel. Then he proceeds to follow the others and prepare for evac, reinforcing his arms and preparing metal extensions for a large net to carry as many as possible,

Once a block away Marcus eases the girls down off his shoulders.

"Sorry." He appologizes knowing the ride was a little rough.

Re: Scene 3.2: The Tremont Hotel
"Did what was necessary."  Riel said.  Though she'd done considerably more.  This wasn't like her.  She was never this wild, this out of control.  She hadn't been at the labyrinth long, but already she'd become someone her father might not recognize.

She glanced back at the destruction and winced slightly.  "That...  wasn't good, was it?  I think we'd better go.  Dot...  Tommy was worried about you.  He looked pretty badly off when we saw him.  Will you come back to the hotel with us? ...  He's waiting.  He really should go to a hospital, I think."

Re: Scene 3.2: The Tremont Hotel
"Cab?" Marcus suggested slipping back into his quiet monosyllabic speech now that they were out of immediate harm. The change was either do to just habit or the fact that not only had he been carrying to attractive girls over his shoulder like sacks of potatoes, but one of those girls had kissed him only a short time ago.

Marcus being Marcus it was impossible to tell which was the cause.

Whiplash took up the rear, watching out for the fleeing girls just in case anyone decided to come after them.  "Just stay calm," she insisted quietly as they ran.  "We'll...figure out what to do next."

In reply to Riel Hahn (msg #270):

The helmet looked at Riel, and then Marcus. However, it was impossible to tell what was going on behind that reflective visor and liquid steel coating. "I can get us moving quickly if need be. For anyone who cannot travel fast under their own power I mean..." The synthesized voice said.

Re: Scene 3.2: The Tremont Hotel
Joseph sighed, and rubbed the back of his head. He wasn't thinking clearly, tonight; his father would be so disappointed in such slipshod work. "If your way of getting us to go faster also involves keeping us out of sight, that'd be a great help getting to safety," he figured. "Longer we're out in the open, more time they've got to snatch us off the street."

In reply to Joseph Katsuya (msg #274):

His arms grew into a large mechanical platform, large enough for them all to stand on. Then the helicopter blades coming from a backpack like device grew larger and began to move with great speed, yet also.

"Get on! We are getting out of here."

Marcus stepped onto the platform and held a hand out to help the girls up and get them steady. "Looks like fun." He said with a reassuring smile.

The girls pile onto the Tin-copter, ready to be taken out of there. In the distance, police sirens wail.

Whiplash's cell phone rings.

"Yeah...its like having every toy ever made..." He chuckled. "Lets get out of here ASAP! I don't want to have to answer any uncomfortable questions the cops might have..." He lifts off and creates a railing around the platform all the people where on.

Whiplash hopped onto the underside of the Tin-copter's platform, and answered her phone gingerly.

"Hello?  Oh, hi Mr. Rocket.  Umm.  Things are a little bit...complicated.  I don't think we did it too wrong but it would really help to have an adult around just now..."

Re: Scene 3.2: The Tremont Hotel
Johnny's voice on the phone, after hearing the story: "Just drop off the girls where they need to go, then head back to the hotel. We can sort things out there. If there's trouble along the way, speed-dial me and I'll be there literally immediately. Sounds like you guys did the right thing. Proud of you all."

Some of the girls other than Dot seem to be shaking off what seems to be some sort-of emotional 'manipulation, and get a little freaked out, but calm down quickly.

"Your robot is really cool!" One of them tells Riel, seemingly referring to Tinman.

One of the others starts playing up her scared, helplessness towards Marcus, in a flirtatious way.

Two of those remaining get dropped off right away, but ask for contact information from their heroes, one of the two specifically asking for Whiplash's information.

The last remaining one hands Joseph a business card before being dropped off at her car. The card reads: 'Silver Mantis Society. Martial Training for a New Dawn.'

Dot spends most of her time looking anxious.

Re: Scene 3.2: The Tremont Hotel
It is obvious that Marcus is completely oblivious to the flirtation.  He does however do his best in his awkward way to comfort the girl.  Eventually even putting his arm around her and telling her that everything will be alright.  He watches the city flow by around them. "Um...can you see where you live from up here?" He asks the girl having no idea what else to say.

Re: Scene 3.2: The Tremont Hotel
Once settled on Tinman's platform, Riel had teh chance to check her phone.  The moment of exasperation hit her fairly quickly.  if she'd known...  but half the information Chuck had passed on could have changed things... if she'd known about them.

So, what was the lesson?  They needed a better means of communication.

"I uh...  I got your text." Riel told Chuck a few moments in.  "Kinda after the fact.  You think I got my head whammied?"

In reply to Riel Hahn (msg #283):

"Ummm...yeah most likely. The guy was messing with most of the girls I think. There was changes to your body chemistry, which was a hint. Plus umm...certain...ummm...actions you did with Marcus...that gave me a clue..." Of course, he was not sure she was effected by the empath at that point. He wanted to say more, but held back. He seemed to be struggling with what to say next-he had always been careful. He had to be-the mental link he had with the suit required it. However, it had no concept of emotions, and he was realizing that he did not ether.

Joseph looked at the business card, and grinned, nodding. He'd definitely have to set aside time to check that out. He pocketed the card, intending to call the next morning. For now, he turned his attention towards...

"Dot? You going to be okay?"

Re: Scene 3.2: The Tremont Hotel
The girl Marcus is speaking to smiles coyly at him, "It's right over there." She points to an apartment building, "Three C. Silverman. Name's on the buzzer."

Dot looks to Joseph and nods, "I'm so grateful to you all. If Tommy's okay, then I'm okay."

A few minutes later, the team is back at the hotel. Johnny is out front, with Tommy leaning against him, an ice pack on his jaw.
"Tommy here wouldn't go to the hospital to get those ribs looked at until he knew Dot was safe."
Dot rushes into Tommy's arms, and the two kiss. Johnny smiles, "Looks like you guys did a good thing tonight. C'mon in, I'll get these two to the hospital in a flash, then you can tell me a little more of what went on."

OOC: This is pretty much the end of this particular adventure. I just need to know if anyone is specifically including or excluding anything that happened at the club in their 'report' to Johnny?

Re: Scene 3.2: The Tremont Hotel
Elise is pretty much grinning ear to ear (and for her, that's very nearly literal).  "Um, thanks Mr. Rocket.  Is everything gonna be okay?  I wouldn't think the mob would make a move if they aren't in a stronger position, but Angel was really mad..."

OOC: If there is anything you want Whiplash to not spill, now would be a good time to, say, hit her over the head.  Or at least politely hint at it.

Re: Scene 3.2: The Tremont Hotel
Johnny takes the pair to the hospital, but is back in less than a minute. He then looks to Whiplash, "Every hero makes enemies. It looks like maybe you all just made your first one. Angel's not a big fish, but he's got connections. I'd keep an eye out."

And with the info dump and that ominous warning, we end Scene 3! 2 xp for everyone, and refresh all hero points. Meanwhile, please meet me in the OOC room for an important discussion about future plotlines!
