(OOC-I will use my quickness to take 20 for a result of 25. Otherwise...

11:18, Today: Tinman rolled 10 using 1d20+5. Assuming quickness does not work.)

Aki whispers to Brittney one more time before turning around to meet with Minotaur.

"No!"  Riel almost jumped at Minotaur's warning. She glanced uselessly at the entrance to the washroom. "It's not...  Just give us a moment!"

Minotaur paused at the door, and frowned, "One minute. Then I'm coming in."
He then paused, and looked as if he were considering something.

Aki tilted her head, confused with Riel's statement, but she sighed and whispered again.

After her whispering, Aki stepped back again and offered her hand to Brittney.

"Ummm...sir?" He said to Minotaur. "The transmission is either coming from Brittney or coming from right above or below her, it's actually very difficult to get a hard fix on it. I can try to get a fix on its position better if I was closer...maybe..." He offers.

Joseph groaned, and rubbed his temples. Of course it had to be transmissions. He felt so useless when it came to electronic disturbances. He knew machines, sure, he wasn't technologically impaired. Just when it came to reverse engineering or trans-location or anything that would help in this sort of situation. What he'd give to have his father here right now; he knew these things.

Still, he went over to Marcus. "So what exactly did you catch out of that transmission?" he asked.

"Nothing." Marcus answered.  He just knew it wasnt normal so he ripped it out of the light fixture. "Chuck might know." he offered.  Chuck was the tech geek not him.

Re: Scene 4.0: Number 115a

"Please," Brittney said softly, "Just... Don't let anyone know, okay?"
She took Aki's hand in hers, and reached out her other hand to Riel.

Minotaur swung the door open, "Everything okay?"
Brittney looked to Riel and Aki for an answer.

Tinman, I believe you're still in the classroom- Minotaur went out into the hall. Did you plan on following him and telling him?

(ooc-what do I know about the conversation in the bathroom? Does anyone tell me NOT to tell minotaur? However, Chuck will NOT go into the girls bathroom. So if he headed off on his own in there-Chuck will wait.)

Re: Scene 4.0: Number 115a
"I won't go into the details, Minotaur-san, but is there someone that Brittney-san can talk to about her powers?  They've made her a bit ill for some reason." Aki replied, keeping the details as light as possible, trying to strike a balance between respecting Brittney's wishes and making sure she gets help.

At worst, she'll be hated for what she was trying to do, but it wasn't something new to Aki.

"Yeah, uh..." Riel said, following Aki's lead.  She wasn't entirely convinced this was the best course of action.  This wasn't the Brittney she knew.  "I think we over-reacted.  But she's mostly cleaned up, now..."

She glanced at Brittney, her gaze making it clear that this wasn't over.

Re: Scene 4.0: Number 115a
Minotaur walked back to the classroom, giving the other students a nod, "Thanks for the heads-up."

Brittney began to head that way, too, looking rather embarrassed but taking a deep, cleansing breath.

As Miss Rasmussen was about to speak again, another form came to the door. The headmaster of the Labyrinth, Daedalus.

"Minotaur, you called?"

The huge man turned and nodded, "Think I've got an idea, boss. We should discuss this."

Daedalus nodded, but frowned, "I think I know what you're going to say, and I'll start by saying I completely disapprove."
His ancient eyes then scanned across the students in the classroom. "Then again..."

He walked over to Tinman, "Mind if I take a look at the technology retrieved?"

Brittney regained her seat, blushed a little, and said to the rest of the class, "Sorry, didn't mean to cause a scene."

Aki walked back to her seat, flashing a smile at Brittney before doing so.  She really had best get back to her studies.

Re: Scene 4.0: Number 115a
Daedalus took the mechanism and stared at it for a few moments, then pressed a stud on his collar and frowned.

"Right. Minotaur, I want a sweep of all the classrooms. Now. Johnny will assist. I'll upload schematics. Students, I'd like you all to return to your rooms, for the moment, and report anything unusual if it occurs. We'll have this all straightened out shortly."

As a few of the students stood, Daedalus turned an eye to Brittney, "And you, miss. To my office. Now."

I'm going to give a couple days for folks to post on reactions / RP based on this scene, although the 'in game' time will only be until that evening. If folks interact with NPC's, I'll post. Otherwise, my next GM-ly update will be Sunday evening.

Re: Scene 4.0: Number 115a
Karl had already gotten his sketchpad out, trying to dive suddenly into the familiarity of his favorite distraction. As if having Aki treat my dire warning as if I were a simple fool wasn't enough... he thought to himself. He had really thought something bad was going down, and that rushing into that restroom was going to help clear up the curse upon him.

Water was taking form in the gentle scratching of his pencil. He could recall the scene now as if he had actually been there- and in a way he had. The ship that floated those waters had been his last home... and those waves had been his grave...

Even my form of escapism is horribly depressing...

OOC: sorry I hadn't posted, but after that embarrassing moment I felt Karl'll just keep his head low, and be as quiet as a church mouse.

Once Daedelus ordered everyone to their room, Aki packed up and began to leave, although she whispered something to Karl as she left.

Re: Scene 4.0: Number 115a
Karl packed up his pad and tossed a few other bits into his pack. He still wanted to crawl away and hide, but Aki reminded him that even though she was casual about his warning it was still a matter to be dealt with. And something else to focus my attention on.

Karl followed Aki to her room.
