What's standard weapons in this story? Guns? Swords? Photonic Spear Blades?

Mostly swords and knives and such. Cannons are a thing so I think there would be matchlock or flintlock type weapons, but they would be expensive and exceedingly rare.

Okay, so I've been referring to her as Alvarez until she introduces herself as Marina. Then she'll just be known as Marina :)

I'm thinking the next scene goes like this:

Marina: It'll do very nicely. (because Jackson asked if it would do nicely)

Imply that sexy times definitely happened. As the crew is doing their thing, getting ready to ship off, Marina and Jackson have the epiphany about each other. Marina decides to stay because "money and the love of sailing, but mostly money."
Whose money??? EH??? Is she really that shallow? Sources say yes.

No Lauren I mean like we just imply and skip ahead. We don't need to mess the order.

I knew what you meant, but frittering posts from Jane's morning aren't needed to further the plot. The order takes skips like this with no harm.

So, what I remember about the last Key is this:

The last Great Storm to occur was a few years ago, and Sanctaphrax sent a Knight after it in a stormchaser to collect stormphrax, as they are wont to do. That Knight had the key with him. A family heirloom. Jackson rode that storm and returned alive; the Knight did not. Jackson knows nothing of the Knight who died that day, but Marina does. She knows the key lies somewhere in the Twilight Woods. The Patrol told her this. But the Woods are vast; no one has found the wreckage of the Knights ship. But Jackson rode that storm; he knows where it raged.

How everyone is to put all this together, I don't know. But it'll happen somehow.

This might be enough for Marina to connect the Captain to what the Patrol is paying her to do. Up to you though, if you want to go further.

We can have an interruption any time now, either by Lauren, Raff or Damien. Jackson gets a real scolding and Marina (somehow) convinces Jackson to let her stay, but I don't know how Jackson is going to react to notorious Marina, QUEEN OF THE EASTERN SKIIEESS, so maybe Marina is gonna have to pull things out of her butt. Idk.

Okay, so I've created the lead-in for some interaction between Jane and Marina if Jane is still in the galley.

A coxswain is basically a small officer position in charge of steering and navigation. As far as rank goes, it's below quartermaster, and almost even with bos'n but a little bit below because the cox'n doesn't have as much responsibility with the crew. I would say it's like a second mate to the bos'n? Sort of? I chose it because it involved steering and navigation and it hasn't been mentioned in Malynn's crew yet.

Almost a year but my creative urges are making a comeback. Hope you guys still have an interest in these, I'm really sorry for taking so long.

Hope we can all get back into these soon, my creative itch is really itchin lately.
