Re: Duel #1245 - Jazal vs Gideon

I also rolled a 15 so it comes down to modifiers now. My total grapple mod is +10 if yours is higher than that, you win. If not, your still grappled. If its the same, then we get to reroll for a tie breaker.

09:40, Today: Jazal Elderstraught rolled 15 using 1d20+10. Opposed Grapple.

Re: Duel #1245 - Jazal vs Gideon

((You win the tie.))

Jazal manages to hook Gideon's armor and get a hold of the warrior. If the attack hurt Gideon, he did not show it. His initial attempts to escape the grapple are unsuccessful resulting in an expression of mild annoyance.

Re: Duel #1245 - Jazal vs Gideon

((And the dice roller comes through for me! Passed both the opposed grapple and the concentration check on my turn far above the margin of what was needed! About time.))

Finally getting a feel for Jazal's movements, Gideon manages to fend off his efforts as well as finds the space to reach across his body and activate a tattoo. Within seconds, his form doubles in size making Jazal's grip that much more difficult to maintain. As the circumstances seem to be turning in his favor, Gideon's frustrated expression begins to fade as well.

02:57, Today: Jazal Elderstraught rolled 19 using 1d20+10. Opposed Grapple.

With a mighty wallop, Gideon sends Jazal flying a few feet as Jazal loosens his grip. After a moment of lying still, Jazal stands wearily and bows to his opponent. "A match worthy of Bahamut's praise indeed. I believe you will go quite a ways." Jazal dusts off his robes and straightens the holy symbol about his neck. "Until we meet again, friend."

Gideon gets the KO on Jazal with that last punch. (downsides to having a template is low HP relative to pretty much everything.)

Jazal is ECL7 and used no consumables.
