OOC: I just notice the map was a little off and the pillar wasn't in the center, it has been fixed.

Thorn Fury fierly enters the arena, still wearing his usual black robe and white mask, looking creepy as ever.

Waiting for the gong, he touches his mask, drinks a potion, clicks his boots, his muscles seem to grow
bigger as enters a furious frenzy and drinks an other potion that makes him grow twice his size !

Thorn then smirks to himself hoping to keep his second place in the ranking versus Jin.

I just noticed an error in my character sheet.

If you would allow me to purchase and use a consumable to achieve the same effect in the round I just posted, there would be no other changes necessary to the prep round.

If not, I'll need to change my action to something else.

Maybe you are thinking of Leaping Dragon Stance?

ToB:
When you are in this stance, you gain +10-foot enhancement bonus on Jump checks.  In addition, any jumps you make while in this stance are considered running jumps.

OOC: It says you make a jump check and moves the distance determined by the check result... that's it.

It doesn't say you need a running start and that the DC is double is you don't have a running start before as a normal long jump check.

I know that's what we can read in the Jump skill, but I don't think that Sudden Leap is affected by that.

Otherwise, it would be the same as a normal jump, no ? (30 ft long = DC 30)

OOC:  I don't think it should have to say you need a running start.  The DC for a 10' jump with a running start is 10.  The DC for a 10' jump without a running start is 20.

It would not be the same as a normal jump because a normal jump is a move action.  Sudden Leap is a swift action.

OOC: Sudden Leap clearly says that it's just Distance = Check.

However, I don't think it can be classified as a normal jump,
so it shouldn't be treat with the distance and DC that correlates as a normal jump check.

If you don't agree, I would like to hear other GM's thoughts about that.
