Emilia looked over at Annabelle as she threw the rock against the window "Subtle" she said with a grimace looking around she gripped the flare gun in her handbag cautiously.

Michael Smith:
Mike takes the communicator, nodded to the Bot, and said, "Let's go."

Mike proceeded to take point...he had an easier time healing then the bot did, after all. He thinks, anyway. And it was time to go looking for stab victims. Hopefully, his nose trained on blood would lead the way. At least lead the way the soldier took when he ran in here.

While the vamp used his senses it was time for Buffybot to use hers. But backtracking would be the most logical point. With the two of them together maybe they can get to the bottom of it.

At the base:

Mike follows a trail of blood drops with Buffybot in tow.  He hears the lieutenant on the radio shouting "Johnson come in!  This is Lieutenant Williams, over!  Someone answer!" No one responds.

The find no trace of Annabelle or Emilia, in the restroom or anwhere else.

The blood trail leads to the infirmary. The duo enters and finds three dead bodies, the two wounded soldiers and the one that was with them.  All three have the same type of stab wound as the first.  That accounts for all of them.  The lieutenant is the only army man left alive.

"Lieutenant, your men are already dead. We're returning to you immediately, you're probably the next target."

At the magic shop:

Annabelle's rock crashes through the glass, right on target, allowing her to reach in and unlock the door.  No alarm sounds. Apparently the owner figured an alarm wouldn't matter much in Sunnydale.

The girl's now have free access to the magic shop.  They will find the magic sand they are looking for along with a variety of other items. Crosses and holy water are in stock too.

Annabelle rushes over to where the crosses are and grabs one.  "Oh thank God.  I had a cross necklace when I came to Sunnydale but then I................lost it.  I've felt a bit naked without it.

She takes a larger cross that will fit in her hand and also a cross necklace (considerably lower quality than her original, but it will do for now.)

"Do you see your magic power?"she says to Emilia.

"My magic power?" She asked looking around the shelves, "This stuff is either strange or gross," She said holding up eye of newt, she placed it down and looked around for the sand and other stuff, "So crosses work against those Turokan's?" she asked lifting up a very large wooden cross.

"Hmmm, power?  Oh, I meant POWDER, Emilia, my mind is elsewhere.  Have you found that magic sand we need to work that spell you found?"Annabelle said, trying to refocus.

"As for the cross and the Turok-Hans, touch it to their flesh and it will burn.  If they were ordinary vampires, just the sight of a cross would make them recoil, giving you time to make a run for it.  But a Turok-Han is not affected by the mere sight of a cross, their primitive brains apparently can't comprehend its meaning."she says as she grabs a two bottles of holy water off the shelf.

Re: Episode 1-9

Mike hears the lieutenant's voice on the other end of the radio;

"My men are already..................forget about me!  Find those two Scottish girls!  I can take care of...............hey, who are you?!  You better put down that knife now or............."

Nothing but static.

But the duo has problems of their own.  As they reach the door leading into the building where the lieutenant is, they find two Turok-Hans blocking their path.

They both step forward, one goes for Mike, the other for Buffybot.

OCC: To the combat thread, two Turok-Hans blocking your path each one going for one of you.  You'll have to beat them to help the lieutenant. Good guys have initiative.

Re: Episode 1-9

Somehow this was in the back of her mind. They this unexplained group of Turok-Han somehow got into the base. However she nods to Mike as they begin to remove vamps standing before them. "Somehow I knew that this was coming. Alright Pal time to put you in your place!" Buffybot says as her fist connects with the Turok-Han in front of her.

"Don't have time for you bozos...

Mike launched a truly inspired combo of vicious stakings against his opponents, the Turok-Han in front of him explodes to dust, he then aids Buffybot by staking the other one, since she's already trying to hit the thing.  That vampire also explodes to dust leaving them free to go help the lieutenant.

OCC: Well, that was  a fast fight.  You can go help the lieutenant now.

"Lack of electricity isn't helping, we're dependant on the emergency powered street lights for what we have. Don't worry about the sand for a moment, I want to show you something.

Annabelle moved closest to the largest window to get the most benefit from the exterior lights and set down two bottles of holy water.  She then pulled out two syringes to show Emilia.  "I procured these from the hospital.  Didn't think we'd  actually get the chance to find any holy water."

Annabelle uncapped the bottle of holy water and poured it into one syringe.  "Now you take the other one and do the same, and hang on to it for an emergency.  Now normally this little bit of water would amount to a bee sting on a vampire. But when you inject holy water into them internally, they'll feel like their insides are fire.

OCC:Yep 7 is a fail, 8 or less is a total failed roll in most cases. Annabelle will try to look in a moment.

Emilia smiled as Annabelle poured the water into the syringe casing. "Here let me show you." She said removing the needle safety cap she dipped the needle into the water and slowly pulled back the syringe to fill the tube, she squeezed the air out and replaced the safety cap, "Might be hard to get close enough however."

Re: Episode 1-9

Mike and Buffybot make it to the lieutenant's office and hurl the door open.

You see the lieutenant standing there, apparently unscathed.  On the ground, unconcious, you see someone with pale white skin, a black hooded robe, and symbols where the eyes should be.  A bringer.

In the corner you see the army officers walkie talkie with a bringer knife sticking out of the middle of it.

The lieutenant stares at the duo.  "What the heck is that?!   How does he see?!  This guy came in and tried to stab me, I blocked it with my radio then decked him, that's why we lost contact.  Are you two okay?  Did you find the two girls?

"It's a Bringer. As for how they see, I have no idea. I just know they perceive the world as well as anyone else does. So, yeah, just pretend they can see, it's safer that way. We haven't found Emilia and Annabelle yet. The other thing about Bringers? They don't normally work alone. I'd recommend you come with us to help us look for the girls. We might need you if we run into any more cops. And it's not particularly safe for you either, if you're alone on the army base. Nobody's safe by themselves with all these creatures around."

And with that idea, he hopes the Lieutenant will choose to come with.

At the magic shop:

Annabelle succeeds in finding the magic sand needed for the spell.

At the base:

The lieutenant nods his head. "Let's get out to the front of the base.  If one of your vehicles is gone, they will give us a clue."The three rush to the front of the base.  The police car the group brought is gone, Emilia's rental car is still there.

Just then you see flashing read lights and hear the sound of a police car siren in the distance and it's getting closer.  The police car pulls into the base, driving right over the now downed gate from the ubervamp charge. Three men get out, two uniformed officers and one older man in a suit.

The three maintain a safe distance from you three, the two cops with their hands ready to go for their guns.  The man in the suit speaks first; "I'm the Sunnydale police chief.  Judging by the condition of that gate, you've had a bit of trouble here."

"Got it!"Annabelle said as she picked up the plastic bag containing the green sand.  She did a nice job of not looking too smug. Annabelle was quite pleased she found the sand first, after Emilia found a spell before she did.

"Unless you see something else you want to grab, let's get out of here."

"You're forgetting one detail dear.  We need the blood of a vampire to draw the magic circle.  So we need to Michael to make a donation before we can proceed with a test run."Annabelle says, taking one last look around the shop for anything else they might find useful.

"And it would be inadvisable to try to capture a Turok-Han alive and try to take his blood.  A normal vampire capture might be feasible, but they are likely hiding from the Turok-Hans.

Re: Episode 1-9

But before the girls can make another move, they notice they are not alone.

Outside the shop, you see four shadowy forms, spread several feet apart.  The glare from the street lights gives you enough of a look at their faces.  Pale white skin, symbols where eyes should, and wearing black robes.

Bringers.  Looks like not all of them are at the base.

If Annabelle and Emilia want to leave they will have to go through them.
