Episode 1-9

Outside at the front gate:

A mob of Turok-Hans are charging towards the front gate of the army base. The gate was secured, but it took them all of three seconds to break it down.

There are ten of them.  They move forward, towards the thin pool of gasoline waiting for them.  The soldiers wait on the other side of the pool, waiting to spring the trap and then pick off the survivors.  Mike and Buffybot stand a few feet behind the soldiers, watching all this.

The Turok-Hans approach the pool of gasoline.  Then suddenly they stop. And sniff.

And then five break to the left and five break to the right, circling around the deadly pool and coming towards the soldiers. And Mike and Buffybot. Looks like they somehow figured out the dangers of flammable liquids.  This mission just got harder.

Two of the soldiers panic and drop their flamethrowers, running as fast as they can in the opposite direction.  One shouts: "Oh my God!  We can't beat those monsters!  Run while you can!!" The other one says nothing, he's running so fast, his shadow is having trouble keeping up.

That makes it ten against ten.  Each of the Turok-Hans appears to be choosing one target on the opposite side.  "Keep it together men!  Pick a target and use your flamethrowers!  We can win this one!"shouts the lieutenant.

OCC: To the combat thread for Mike and Buffybot.  You each have one Turok-Han coming at you so far, the other eight are pairing off against each remaining soldier.  Good guys have initiative. Annabelle and Emilia are still inside studying the book.

Hearing the screaming outside Emilia sighed, "Well this spell isn't really going to help us that much is it? Unless you happen to know where we can find this magic dust?" She sighed slightly annoyed, "Better put your slaying hat on I think we are going to have company."

Annabelle sighed even louder.  "Oh crumbs, that screaming no doubt means the soldiers' plan didn't go as swimmingly as they hoped."

She gets up and grabs her stake, then stands by the door waiting for anyone or anything that might come through.  "You stay back behind me Emilia, I'll protect you as long as I can if anything makes it in here.

Re: Episode 1-9

Mike does something the military guys definitely aren't expecting, though the Buffybot might be. He puts the flame thrower down and engages his opponent hand to  hand!

He launches a couple of wicked punches at the enemy, and prepares his defense. Which could've been better. Still, Mike seems to be getting better at fighting lately. Wicked punch #1 connects with the ubervamp's midsection, wicked punch #2 does not as the vamp evades it, then nails Mike in the face with a punch of his own.

Buffybot actually follows Mike's lead. However things didn't go to well in her case as she drops the flamethower. Her barely missed the Turok-Han closest to her.  The super vampire than easily landed a kick to her chest since the robot left herself open to attack.

The eight remaining soldiers take aim with their flamethrowers and all but one manages to nail a Turok-Han.  Yet despite now being on fire, the seven Turok-Hans keep coming, each one grabs a soldier by the neck.  Feeding time coming up.

The last Turok-Han leaps out of the way of the flame, punches the attacking soldier, but otherwise keeps on running.  Towards the building where Annabelle and Emilia are in.

OCC: 12 points of damage to Mike, 18 points to Buffybot. You both still have one Turok-Han attacking you at the moment, the others are attacking someone else.

(OCC: she's waiting for the bad guy thing... you know when they open the door growl and look around and pause for a few seconds... don't believe me watch any horror movie, when the Ubervamp does that she's going to unleash the power of hairspray. Note to GM: Know this won't be as powerful as a flamethrower but they do but fairly hot.)

Re: Episode 1-9

Mike was way off his game this time. His punches just weren't on target as the Turok-Han dodged out of the way. His defense was better, but still lackluster.

But enough to do the job, as the Turok-Han throws a kick at Mike and misses. Stalemate this round.

Buffybot circled around her opponent, preparing to attack.  The Turok-Han did the same as these two had a staredown.

Meanwhile six Turok-Hans sink their teeth into the soldiers they are holding.  The soldiers scream, and struggle to escape.  But to no avail as the vampires drink, despite the fact that they are on fire.

The Turok-Han grappling the lieutenant wasn't so lucky as the commanding officer broke free and pointed his flamethrower at the monster.  "Take this you undead son of a."the officer shouts as he blasts the vampire with his flamewhrower.  The Turok-Han howls in pain, then stumbles backwards.  Right into the pool of gasoline.

WHOOSH!!!!

The pool of gasoline is now a raging square of fire with one ubervamp right in the middle of it.  You can hear his screams of pain a mile away.

The lone soldier who didn't have his own ubervamp to fight had already dropped his flamethrower and pulled out his big combat knife.  He moves to the nearest flaming ubervamp eating one of his teammates.  "Get off him!"he shouts, easily slicing his knife into the vamp's back since the creature was to busy eating to notice.

Meanwhile, the lone ubervamp left enters the building.  He stops and sniffs.  Yes, there is prey to be found.  He quickly approached the office Annabelle and Emilia were hiding in.

And smashed down the door! Turok-Hans aren't big on doorknobs or subtle entrances.  The monster walks over the now downed door and stops in the middle of the office as he looks around and sees nothing.  Because the two girls are hiding on either side of the door.  He's about to turn around and see them!  They have seconds to launch a sneak attack.

OCC:  This round is resolved, no damage to the heroes this round.  Buffybot and her enemy had a staredown contest this round.  To the combat thread for everybody.  Emilia and Annabelle have a Turok-Han about to turn around and see them, so they have this round to launch a sneak attack.

Re: Episode 1-9

Emilia waited for the monster to turn around, then she flicked her lighter and blasted it with her aerosol can in the Turok-Han's direction. The flameblast hits the creature square in the face.  It howls in pain as it covers its eyes.

Annabelle waited for Emilia to make her move before launching hers, staking the ubervamp may not be the best strategy, it would likely end in both of their deaths, after the stake failed to go very far.  She opted to try to take the monster off it's feet and then get the bloody hell out of there. She followed up Emlia's flame to the face with a masterfully executed takedown which left the ubervamp flat on its back, giving them the opportunity to run for it.

Now that the 'killzone' was lit up, Mike had a better idea. Grab his opponent and toss him into flaming inferno. That's what it was there for. His grab and toss methodology seemed to be working much better for him then direct combat. So good is his toss he can even make this guy land on top of his flaming buddy and make them both fall down in the gasoline.  The second ubervamp drops on the first, leaving two screaming prehistoric vampires in the field of flame.

After the stare down in the last round. Buffybot needed to act and begin to deal with the Turok-Han standing or in this case staring before her. Her fist connected with the creature's jaw, but the vampire failed to return the favor as the artificial slayer evaded his blow.

"Get off him you freak!!"the soldier shouts at the Turok-Han eating his comrade.  He slices the monster again, blood flies through the air.  And this time the vampire notices as he lets go of his prey and faces his attacker.

The lieutenant does the same, drawing his large combat knife and slashes at the nearest Turok-Han draining the blood of one of his men, his knife slashes the creature's flesh, who is too focused on drinking blood right now to notice.

Meanwhile five Turok-Hans continue to drink the blood of the other five soldiers.

OCC:Back to the combat thread for everyone.  No damage to the heroes this round.  Still seven ubervamps outside to deal with.  Mike is currently not being engaged by anyone, plenty of soldiers could use a hand. The ubervamp inside is on the floor in pain from the flame in the face attack, Annabelle and Emilia can run for it and get a head start.

Re: Episode 1-9

A feeding vampire, even a feeding Turok Han, was easy prey for Mike, who grabbed one eating a soldier, calmly ripped him off his dinner, and tossed him into the big flaming vamppile below.

He didn't expect any counterattacks, but he was exceptionally on the ball for such.  Which is good because the Turok-Han engaging Buffybot suddenly shifed focus and attempted a high kick on Mike as he moved out of the way.

The lieutenant raced forward, grabbing one of the Turok-Han off his men.

The only other soldier up and fighting, swung his big combat knife at neck of the ubervamp coming at him.  And connected!!  The Turok-Han's head came off and exploded into dust.

Meanwhile, three Turok-Hans finish drop the bodies of three soldiers, because they are now dead and drained of blood.

Three other soldiers are still standing, barely.  But not down yet.

OCC: Next round.  Five Turok-Hans still outside, one is engaging Michael. The lieutenant currenlty has one grappled.  Four other soliders up, not currenlty being drained of blood. The last Turok-Han is on the trail of Emilia and Annabelle.

Just outside that bulding, Annabelle and Emilia exit and run a few yards before entereing another building. They've just found the armory.  Plenty of flamethrowers.  And guns.  And grenades.

OCC: These two should probably grab a weapon or two, that Turok-Han will likely find them soon.

Annabelle picks up a flamethrower, then the grenade stock catches her eye.  Why not? Her watcher told her guns were mostly useful against vampires, but she never said anything about grenades. She grabs two grenades, stuffing each one halfway in her pockets for quick access.

"Emilia, find somewhere to hide.  I'll hold him off as long as I can.  If you see a chance to run for the door while he's preoccupied with me, do it. Annabelle says as she stands ready for action, waiting for the Turok-Han to come at them.

Re: Episode 1-9

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This vamp was ready for him, so his grab wasn't the best but enough as he barely manages to put his hands on the ubervamp.
Buffybot sees Mike engaging a Turok Han. She decides that a sneak attack is in order as her fist slames into the back of the unsuspecting Turok-Han. Mike had kind of a bad angle for the throw, but hopefully it'd be enough.  And it is as the Turok-Han goes flying into the fire with the rest of his bretheren.

"Look out sir! "one soldier shouts as he aimes his flamethrower at the vampire grapppled by the lieutenant.  The officer and dove for cover as the trooper let the flameblast loose, nailing the ancient vampire who takes several steps back, joining the rest in the block of fire.

Meanwhile the three remaining Turok-Hans each ran up to a solider, grabbed the around the throat and moved closer.  Feeding time again.

OCC:Back to the combat thread.  No damage to the heroes.  Three Turok-Hans left out here, all three about to drain the blood of a solider.

FLASH!  The flare hits the Turok-Han in the chest, and explodes lighting up the room.  The vampire howls loud enough to rattle the walls.

No time to argue, Annabelle opts to go for a grenade attack, she pulls out one grenade, pulls the pin and hurls it at the Turok-Han. The grenade isn't a direct hit as Emilia's flare, but it lands close to the vampire and explodes.

The ubervamp howls again, but his problems aren't over.  The flare has set his clothes on fire, he continues to burn brightly, covering his eyes.  He's blinded and on fire at the moment

OCC: Back to the combat thread for Annabelle and Emlila, vamp is at the moment blind and on fire.

Re: Episode 1-9

Out Front:

Mike was wondering if Turok Han tossing should be a new Olympic sport. He'd propose it to the committee if only they'd take the idea seriously. Alas, they would not. He doesn't think he did well on the grab, though he was thankfully grabbing a vampire feeding, it didn't matter quite so much. His toss, though, was certainly worth a high score, and he was prepared to defend himself against any more that came by. Down, down Mr. Feeding Turok Han goes, into the fiery furnace where his friends are roasting away. Good thing Turok Han have less pattern recognition ability then most insects.

The two remaining Turok-Hans who looked like they were about to feed, both turn towards Mike.  The two soldiers they were holding drop to the ground, barely alive, one more feeding would have surely finished them.

"Cover those two wounded men!  Let that guy handle the vamps, he seems to know what he's doing!"shouted the lieutenant.  The other two soldiers still standing ran to cover their downed comrades as the lieutenant went to do first aid on the two severely wounded troops.

The two remaining Turok-Hans both looked at Mike and advanced  towards him.

OCC: Onward.  No damge Mike this round.  Two Turok-Hans left out here, both coming at Mike.

Well, that rattled his teeth a little. Nothing he couldn't sleep off, though. Still, one more in front of him, and wanting to secure his place forever as the greatest vamp tosser in history, he does one more grab and toss routine. It is not a grab that will live forever, but should be enough. Toss is good...defense is better then last time.  It is enough to send the last ubervamp into the roaring fire with his bretheren.

This shall be the record all future vamp tossers live by.

"That's all of em'  Good work son.  You're a one-vamp wrecking machine.  You can give me the details later, right now I've got men to save. the lieutenant says as he orders the other two troopers to go get the medical supplies so they can tend to the two who barely survived the Turok-Han attack.

Once they are in the hall and alone with the office door shut; "That's an order eh?  It goes without saying I don't recognize his authority over us.  Do you concur Emilia?  Shall we proceed with our magical supply procurement?"

"Now where were we?.........what can I do for you?.......and you want to do what?..........I see...........yes I have four civilians here, but two are minors, and not United States citizens, I don't want to involve them..............Yes that does make a lot of sense...........Let me confer with my two guests here, I'll call you back in a few minutes.

He hangs up the phone.  "That was the Sunnydale chief of police.  He apologizes for the overzealous actions of his officers against you.  If they are even on the force, he suspects there are some imposter police officers about town.  He would like for the three of us to join him at the station and compare notes, and form a plan to either escape the dome or survive until it drops."

Mike shook his head.

"Color me not surprised. They were WAY too eager to use lethal force to be real cops. Sounds reasonable enough...except for one thing. How do we know the chief of police isn't an imposter himself? It may be better to meet him here, on your turf. After all, he has several of our friends in custody...or does he? You might want to ask him about that. If I recall correctly, he should have several teenagers in custody on grounds of trying to burn a school down. Including Graham, who you saw run off earlier."

Ridiculous, but it's worth double checking.

Mike smelled the bloodstain before the man even knocked on the door. It wasn't the blood that surprised him, it was the fact it was inflicted by a knife instead of by fangs. Clearly, they have some other enemies here...

"Vampires don't use knives, generally. I'd say we've got something else on our hands. I'll take point."

Why? Well, if something stabs Mike, he'll survive the experience. If something stabs the Buffybot, she'd most likely survive the experience too. But the humans around them? That's not so sure a thing.

He nodded at the bot, and said, "Let's go. We've gotta clear out hostiles...which could very well be our rogue cops."
