Mike had had it. And when Mike's had enough of traitors and vampire SWAT teams, it's a bad day for them. Tanking the zap with style...it didn't even singe him, really...

He threw a stake, quite precisely, towards the back of the fleeing vampire... Thok...Foom...He's dust. And then ruthlessly came up behind the traitor...and went to snap his neck. CRACK! Pissed off as he was, he didn't REALLY want to kill him...but he wouldn't cry about it if he did.

Goldberg dropped to the floor, still alive, but no longer a threat.  "Ahhhh!!! You almost ripped my head off!  I surrender!  I give up man! You win!"

OCC: Back to the main thread. All enemies defeated. All SWAT vamps dusted, Goldberg is in no condition to fight.

Mike shook his head.

"You realize that I, a vampire, just had more respect for your life then you, a human, had for two of your allies. I want you to think about that."

Upon her discovery, Annabelle rushes back to everyone else, but stopped long enough to retrieve the two wooden stakes she had thrown.

"It's true. Goldstein and Goldfinger are dead and.............I see Goldberg here wishes he was dead.  I imagine his neck didn't get at that odd angle all by itself.

She looks down at Goldberg.  "You're lucky he didn't kill you you blooming bastard!  It's no less than you deserve and now...........wait a moment!  Where's Graham?!  And didn't that last SWAT vampire say something about Smith finishing him off?! There's more than one Judas in this house!

Annabelle dashes off to look for Graham.

Less than 30 seconds later, Annabelle finds Graham in the monitor room and in no immediate danger.

Smith, like Goldberg is no longer in any condition to fight.

"Graham!  Thank God you're alright!  Smith wasn't the only traitor in this house, Goldberg just attacked us, but Michael has............subdued him. He was helping the vampire SWAT team which we've now dusted, but more are on the way. We've got to get out of here now."

Annabelle paused waiting for Graham to join her, hoping he wouldn't continue beating on Smith who clearly was no longer a threat.

Graham looks like he's about to lay into Smith again until he registers what Annabelle said.

"Goldberg is a traitor too?! Where is he?!" Graham shouts with rage as he jumps to his feet and heads for the door.

"I'm going to make that other traitor feel my pain!" Graham shouts, making his intentions clear.



OCC: This is Director posting for Graham to keep things moving.

Mike simply points at the downed guy.

"You're a bit late, considering I already nearly snapped his neck but decided to spare him at the last minute."

Annabelle chases after Graham and grabs him by the arm.  "See, Michael has dealt with Goldberg.  Now we have to leave.  They've got reinforcements on the way in less than five minutes. Leave the traitors here to answer to their vampire masters.

Annabelle kept her hand on Graham's arm, ready to wrestle him to the ground if need be. And she probably could.  While her massive power surge was gone, she now still felt more powerful than she had in her life.  As powerful as the Slayer.

Graham says nothing for a few seconds, then; "Alright, we're leaving.


Graham dashes back to the monitor room, grabbing Smith's now discarded pistol lest the traitor muster enough strength to recover it and try to shoot one of them in the back.

"Good luck explaining this to your new HST friends.  Rot in hell."Graham says to Smith on last time.

"Let's go!"he said leading the group back to the elevator.

Annabelle raced behind Graham, saying nothing to the traitorous Initiative agents.

Although I'd love to be in the room when they explain how they let us get away to their vampire masters.  Vampires aren't the most forgiving sort.she thought.

She was carrying a wooden stake in each hand that she had previously retrieved from the hallway.  Hopefully they could make it to their vehicle and leave without incident.  But if there was resistance, let them come.  She was now a force to be reckoned with.

As Mike departs, he wonders aloud, "I wonder if they'll be tortured to death as sacrifices for whoever the Dark God of the week is by their new friends, or turned and used as canon fodder? The fact they're still barely alive leaves that second option open..."

Graham leads everyone to the elevator, once it is open he says;

"You three get in, get upstairs and get to our vehicle. I'll be right there to drive us to safety in a minute.  I have to go back and take care of something important.

Graham dashes back down the hall before anyone can ask him what the "something important" is.

"Graham!  Get back here.!  You can't.............oh, never mind!  He's off his trolley! Whatever he's doing had better bloody well be important. Let's get to the truck and get the engine running.  We won't leave without him.  Not that we could, since he's the only one who can drive.

Annabelle was anxious for the elevator to reach the top and she was not still as a rock.  Her body language indicated she was full of energy and ready for action.

Mike shrugged.

"I think it just occurred to him he can't haul those two in for court martial when there's a forcefield preventing other initiative agents from passing judgment. I'd expect to hear gunshots shortly."

Graham quickly returns to the monitor room and looks the downed Smith.

"I'm not going to let the vampires have you. You betrayed your unit.  That leads to a court martial punishable by death. Since the proper military authorities are our of contact indefinitely, I'm going to expedite the process.

Graham draws his pistol and points it at Smith.  BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!

Graham leaves that room and head in the direction of where Goldberg was left.

BLAM! BLAM!  BLAM!

Graham dashes back towards the elevator exit.

Annabelle, Mike, and Buffy make it up to Lowell house and out the backdoor without incident.  They are waiting in the truck for Graham to drive them out of there.

Minutes later, Graham appears.  "Alright guys, let's get out of.........."

BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!  Graham's just been shot three times in the chest!  He's dead for sure, no human being can survive that.


Three cops step from the bushes with smoking guns. Vamp cops for sure since they have vamp faces, but not SWAT vamps this time, just regular vamp cops.

They had been in the vicinity and arrived earlier than the rest.  They had pulled up their squad car up front without the sirens going and were able to stealthily take up their hiding spots in the bushes.

The three of you then hear police sirens.  Lots of them.  Getting closer.

OCC: Graham's dead.  Or is he?  Maybe things aren't what they seem. Three vamp cops are here and a lot more on the way.

"Oh my God!  Graham!!!"Annabelle screamed in shock as she watched the bullets hit his chest.

He was surely dead, no human could survive that.  Part of her wanted to jump out and avenge him, give those murderers a taste of Slayer power. But that wouldn't be the smartest thing to do just now.

"Does anybody have any inkling how to drive?! I bloody well don't!!

Mike took over driving, "I haven't had to drive in a while, but I'll manage. Hard to renew your license when the DMV insists on closing before Sunset."

And he drove them the hell out of there.

Mike peels the jeep off with awesome ability, spraying dirt and pebbles in the faces of the vamp cops, preventing them from opening fire.

A moment later, Mike pulls the jeep on the campus roadway and a couple of minutes later out on the main road.  No vamp police in pursuit.  They are safe for the moment.

But they won't be for long unless they find a new place to hide.

"Looks like we are running low in options department. Still we should've burned the base although Graham may not have liked it. But without any assistance at all from outside force. It would be best to deny a base to the enemy."Buffybot looks at the other in hope that they can add something to the situation.

Annabelle looked at the robot in disbelief.  "That's it?!  That's all you've got to say?!  We've just watched a man get shot to death!  A man who fought by our side!  And now he's dead!  Annabelle spit out her words out as she burst into tears.

""Oh Graham................poor Graham.................."was all she managed to get out, now sobbing uncontrollably.

Mike was a little disturbed himself...

"Well, she is a robot. There's only so many human emotions you can replicate with technology. But even for you and me, we might want to stay focused till we find somewhere to take cover."

Mike's face looks ghastly...he's suppressing his emotions because he has to drive, but he's also waiting for an opportunity to deal with them. He doesn't consider driving away from someone's death to be a good opportunity.

It took a superhuman effort, but Annabelle managed to get her emotions to a manageable level.

Michael was right, they needed to find a new place to hide and quickly.

"We need to think of some place that the undead constabulary won't think to look. Isn't there some pub or tavern here about for us to hide?  They wouldn't expect us to go on a bender at a time like this, so they would be less likely to find us there.

Mike suddenly gets an idea.

"Fish tank. They'd never think to look there."

Mike hightails it that way.

At Lowell House:



The Sunnydale police are investigating the scene at Lowell
House.  Police cars and SWAT vans with their lights flashing are spread about the lawn.  Cops come and go from the secret underground Initiative base (they have all the necessary security clearances thanks to their traitorous allies).

Sunnydale's police chief approaches a body covered by a white sheet on the lawn, having received a preliminary report on the casulties on the way over.

"Agent Miller I presume.  My boys have retired you permanently."the chief states as he lifts up the sheet.  "Wait a minute!"the chief says checking Graham's pulse.  "He's still alive!"

At the sound of that, several cops gather round the Chief and Graham's "body".  "Normal humans don't survive three gunshot wounds to the chest. the chief says pulling back Graham's shirt and sees the lightweight bullet proof vest underneath.  "Very clever of him. This vest doesn't create much of a bulge, his allies probably didn't even know he was wearing it which is why they left him, thinking he was dead for sure.

One cops steps forward, drawing his pistol.  "You want me to finish him off Chief?"

"No, he may be more useful to us alive. Get him some medical attention, then take him back to headquarters." the chief responds as he turns to another cop exiting the house.  "So our two allies are dead eh along with everyone else?"

"Right chief, all the Initiative agents here, both on our side and not are all dead."responds the cop.

The chief claps his hands to get everyone's attention."Alright, let's finish up here.  Torch the house and the secret base beneath it.  We're not letting anyone else use it again."

Not too long afterwards, Lowell House is burning and you can hear explosions beneath it signalling the end of the secret Initiative base.

Elsewhere in Sunnydale:

A jeep pulls up to the back entrance of The Fish Tank.
