Old Ordo Cantina (OOC)

The atmosphere is thick with smoke and lights, and the music lively.  Here many spacers, smugglers, and other denizens of the nearby area come to drink and play pazaak or sabacc.  At one table is a collection of mysterious beings who call themselves the "players," who speak in a code all their own that they call "out of character."  A spy or two may occasionally listen in, but none have ever been able to decipher the true meanings of their conversations...

The balding human in a black T-shirt chuckles.  "Lulz," he says, "And stanko!  So... we've got our first char concept obviously, so...  I'll borrow from the TF OOC question.  How cannon do we want to be?  'Cause I'm a cannon newb."

It's around then that Mirage shows up and says, "Good question." then disappears again. Ikia watches him disappear. Then looks at the human. "Well... Byron had good reason for not allowing Ewoks, even in the future. So I'd say we need to alter things if we're going to be allowed to do... whatever. At the least, we'd have to make up whatever reason for Ewoks being allowed."

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

That's up to you.  I guess the first thing we should decide is character ideas and setting.  Obviously Tim is going with his Ewok Jedi.  I'm not sure what character I'd like to play.  Do we want to play as Jedi or as sith?  Or do we want to play both?  Personally, I'd rather stick with good guys I guess.  I don't really know what I want to do to be honest.  Brainstorm some ideas.

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

My opinion is as per usual in the fact that I have no opinion.

But, I wouldn't mind playing a bad guy that is slowly reforming, but still has some evil tendencies.  Nothing that would affect the player characters of course, but just things that would add a spice to RP.

Example:  Using Sith Lightning on random NPCs just to hear them scream.  Using Mind control to pit NPCs against one another for pure amusement.

Even the NPC's affected are not story related.  Literally, just random passerbys.

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

You know I would like to see some Jedi Dongweers come blazing into battle with damage dealing lightsabers. RAWR!

How epik would it be to see a dual saber wielding dongweers

lol

on a more serious note, I think it really doesn't matter if there or goodies or baddies in the rp as long as it not cannon.... And I'm sure with tims army of alts we will get a taste of both sides anyways so why should it matter if your playing a jedi with the tendency to be a little dark... the force is meant to be shared so nots let be selfish

Page 152 of the PHB ( AKA aaaaaa WEG40120 - Star Wars D6 - 2nd Edition Revised Rulebook ) gives the rules about the dark side.  The cookies are a lie!  It's a trap!

But yeah....  Been considering a more edgy and "screw the rules" version of Star Wars that isn't so >.<  For example.  If Darth Swedish Chef were to randomly make an NPC's head pop off, Ikea wouldn't be required to try and stop him to keep from getting a dark side point.

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

Yeah. The whole "Haha someone just did something evil. You were in the same room, so guess what? You get a dark side point too! Hahahahaa" NO

If Darth Chef hurlies a head off some lobster he's cooking and Ikia sees this, she shouldn't get a dark side point for "letting" him. But she would try to hurly Chef's head off because he's evil and she isn't. So if we go dark side, we need to it be a separate RP from whatever Ikia joins.

Dark side Maverick... you guys are in for a treat if I play him. >.< !!!

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

Let's talk mechanics.  I don't like the endless added 6's on the wild dice.  I would rather, if you get a 6 on the wild, that you can roll ONE more D6 or reroll as many of the other dice you rolled as you want.  So if you roll 3d6, and you get 1, 1, and wild 6, you can choose to re-roll the 1's or to add another d6 to the total.  This is preferable to a mouse droid killing Darth Vader on a fluke because it kept rolling 6 on the wild over and over.

Other mechanic.  Starting stats.  Every species has human stats and no special powers.  To keep things fair.

Human
Attribute Dice: 12D(For most NPCs)  (PCs get 18D)
DEXTERITY 2D/4D
KNOWLEDGE 2D/4D
MECHANICAL 2D/4D
PERCEPTION 2D/4D
STRENGTH 2D/4D
TECHNICAL 2D/4D
(this means that the human minimum is 2D, and the maximum is 4D.  And you have 18D to spend on attributes.)

a beginning character only
has 7D for starting skills.

you can add up to 2D to any skill, but no more.

Every character starts with 1D each in Control, Alter, and Sense.  Also, they have one power from each category.  We all start with 2 force points and 10 character points (not to be spent on chargen).  Also, 2,000 starting credits. They can spend as much of this as they want.

Awarding Character points.  I was thinking the best way to deal with CPs is to simply award a flat 1cp per RL day per character.  To keep things simple and fair.

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

Can't access techie's charsheet.

Found this summary of the light side and dark side:

The Jedi Code

    * There is no emotion; there is peace.
    * There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
    * There is no passion; there is serenity.
    * There is no death; there is the Force.

Code of the Sith

    * Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
    * Through passion, I gain strength.
    * Through strength, I gain power.
    * Through power, I gain victory.
    * Through victory my chains are broken.

Sign me up for the dark side!  But yeah...  this setting is after the purge, so while that traditional light side mumbo jumbo may still exist, it'll be rare.  Unless we want the light side team in a different era.  Another thing I'd like to add is: losing a dark side point is as easy is gaining one.  There's no mechanical penalty or benefit to having dark side points.  Once you're at zero dark side points you can start earning light side points.

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

Character roster for Slaying Stone:

Chris: N/A
David: Shakkra (Tiefling Bard)
Timmy: N/A

Characters I'm looking at (Keeping in mind the "female chars only" rule):
Antoinette (Human Cleric/Invoker)
Bridget (Human Fighter/Warlord)
Gnara (Gnoll Assassin)
Honey (Human Cosmic Sorcerer)
Katy (Longtooth Burninating Fighter)
Liberty (Human Psion)
T'shock (Tiefling Fighter)

...or make new ones just for this campaign. Mostly posting this here to help my brain's thought process. I'll look them over in character builder and see what excites me most. I'll likely narrow it down to 3. 2 at the least. XD

UPDATE: I marked the ones I'm strongly leaning towards with underlines. If I do, in fact, go with T'shock, I might update Bridget to be a warlord. Else, I could min-max by having T'shock be the warlord while Bridget takes fighter fully, bur we'll see. Definitely using Bridget and Liberty at this point, though.

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

About alignment.

http://www.filehurricane.com/v...5505PM_alignment.jpg

There's a reason for that.  Tim and I have met a large number of players who, like Ed, believe "neutral" means "I can do whatever I want whenever I want on a whim."  No.  That's chaotic evil in our opinion.  Loooong way away from neutral.  So I figured I'd look up the "book" definition of the alignments.  Two whole pages on the topic.  Pg 19-20.

quote:
The Evil Alignment
It is my right to claim what others possess.

Evil characters don’t necessarily go out of their way to hurt people, but they’re perfectly willing to take advantage of the weakness of others to acquire what they want.

Very very important point.  This is where many excuse evil as "neutral."  "My guy's not evil.  He only decapitates people who make him angry."  No.  That's not neutral, that's evil.  Very very evil.  If someone decapitated a friend of yours because that friend insulted them, you'd agree.

quote:
The Chaotic Evil Alignment
I don’t care what I have to do to get what I want.

Chaotic evil characters have a complete disregard for others.

Being chaotic evil is a lot like being unapologetically rude.  "I don't care if I hurt you" is not neutral.  That's evil.  Very very evil.  Think spouse/child abuse.  You don't have to decapitate your wife or child to be chaotic evil.  You just have to be so irredeemably selfish that you don't care when you hurt them.

quote:
Unaligned
Just let me go about my business.

If you’re unaligned, you don’t actively seek to harm others or wish them ill. But you also don’t go out of your way to put yourself at risk without some hope
for reward.

In other words, unaligned = an ordinary person.  Sometimes angry, sometimes generous, but usually only returns what's given them.

For reference, nother fun poster:

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

Okay.  Been lashing myself enough about making these characters and am actually doing it and here is what I got going on so far.

SoW:
Dalte (Half-Elf Battlemind) Older Brother
Lathilia (Half-Elf Ardent) Little Sister

Thunderspire:
Mathias (Deva Avenger)
Unnamed Character (Wizard: "Cryo"mancer)

Okay, so what are the details for Thunderspire?  Level?  Gold?  etc., etc.

That depends.  If we start just outside the keep, we'll be starting level 1 with 615 xp under our belts already.  Did you ever fight Irontooth?  Do you remember an excavation site?  Do you remember anything from inside the Shadowfell Keep?  All I remember is your char going PvP against that kid inside the kobold lair outside Fallcrest.  I don't remember if you ever went to Winterhaven with us.

Loot so far:
Parcel 1: Magic item, level 5 Fire Resistance (Armor) -Mittens (Will likely change this.)
Parcel 2: Magic item, level 5
Parcel 3: Magic item, level 4
Parcel 4: Magic item, level 3
Parcel 5: Magic item, level 3
Parcel 6: Magic item, level 2
Parcel 7: Two potions of healing, 100 gp
Parcel 8: One 100 gp gem, 80 gp
Parcel 9: 260 gp

Rai and Tens have the potions, I think.  Also, since I went ahead and converted the gem into GP,
quote:
You can ignore all that IC math.  Did some OOC math and figured each team member should have +108 gp VALUE each in liquid assets before any purchases.

That's +108 gp after you spent your lvl one 100 gp.  In Mit's case, she had 12 gp left.  12+108 = 120.  Horse costs 75.

We still haven't divvied out all the magic items.  And I forgot I was going to rebuild Tens as something other than pyromancer.  Very likely sword mage.

Heh. Know how that goes. The main reason there is an order is so nobody gets skipped. Sometimes, a person will have a novel written and they go to post only to find someone else just posted something that makes everything they wrote no longer valid. XD But if you wanna go orderless from here out, we can experiment with that too. :)

Kennedy:
Sorry about Laniya's long post. I thought becausr this was "free-form" that a character could act beyond a "turn-based" system. I'll keep that in mind for future posts.

My memory is far from perfect, so I could very well be remembering wrong that we had said in conversation, "Let's play a 4e game on the forum" or some such.  I assumed that meant rulebooks and dice, but if not it wouldn't be the 1st time Tim and I have run a freeform game with 4e flavor.

To be honest, I'm leaning more toward freeform since there's so many hurdles to dice games on the forum with our work schedules, (or at least, play dice light).  But even then, Tim and I are used to a freeform playstyle where 1 post roughly translates to 1 dice game turn.  Generally.  The more players there are, the more you wind up having to have your character do in a single turn.  Which can get frustrating when two players will back-and-forth post several times in the span of a few hours while you're not logged on and you return to a huge pile of stuff that your character apparently just stared blankly at.  One place actually went several pages before I could get a word in edgewise, heh.  Hence post order being kindof important.

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

I'm running this 90% free form to avoid having to build maps and run combat. So Kennedy remembered right. Though I'd also like us to treat this similar to "could translate to a dice-rolled" like Joey suggests.

What's the other 10% that isn't free form? Once in a while, we roll dice. We all have already done it in the past several posts. So even Kennedy was assuming some form of dice before this topic came up. Basically, when combat comes up, we'll play it loose and roll when we feel it's important. When skills bump up against each other like Emmy's pickpocketing vs Laniya, we roll that.

Hope this clears up confusion? :\

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

Kennedy:
I had originally intended for this to be a conversation between Kennedy and Bahamut, but thought better of it after reading some background stats on the god. What I found intriguing was that those who answer the call of Bahamut must complete a right of rebirth They go off an meditate for a day and then go sit in some sort of egg. On the following day they arise from the egg a dragonborn, and a devout follower of the dragon god. Plus there was some info about how pissed he gets when someone goes against his teachings.
So I thought better of it and decided to have Avandra talk to him instead. But if you'll note she says she'll only help him once. What I would like for that to mean, is that Kennedy's past is SO tainted that he really angered some of the good gods. And now none of them really want to lend him any sort of aid. Should one of their followers ask for help, then they will grant it, but only once. Which means that any further healing prayers from Joey will have no affect on Kennedy. Kennedy would have to drink a potion or heal naturally from any future wounds.
This is intended to take Kennedy on a spiritual journey, and to somehow have the gods forgive him. Whether their mercy will end in his death or his rebirth remains to be determined, but the plot hook is nice. Plus it makes for good storytelling.
I was also thinking that Laniya might actually become a PC. I've actually grown fond of the character and I believe that there's more of her story to tell. But not now.

First, to save you some effort in the future, you can create a dividing line by typing less-than, HR, greater than. Which results in this:

Next, the topic of the healing: Don't forget Emerald healed you initially (and her heals able to be cast a lot more often than Joey). Her heals are arcane instead of divine, so I'm unsure how you would want to deal with that. :\ Don't get me wrong, I like your idea (Gee. Putting a limit on yourself! The horror!), I just wanna make sure everything makes sense. Unless you wanna just say Emmy can heal you, but Joey can't. ...you also got me curious now what extreme badness Kennedy did to tick off the gods.

And finally, seeing Laniya as a PC would be fun. But her face has been burned into the whole group's minds. Thankfully, since Chris and I tend to play goody-goodies, Emmy and Joey won't kill her on sight, but we'll need to start planning now how to include her. Maybe I'll put the characters in a situation where they need outside help and Laniya is the one who happens to be there, so in order to make penance for nearly killing someone, she helps them? If you figure something out that you would like to do, lemme know.

EDIT:
Just a side note, the above is only so things make sense. Regardless of the reason, Chris and I have agreed before you can't force someone to accept healing. So I'm not saying "no, you can't do that". Quite the opposite. Just saying it'll be fun to come up with why even an arcane heal won't work on you. Unless you wanna keep it purely "divine things don't work"

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

I think it would be cool to have the arcane heal to slowly stop working. Sure it's healed him so far, but as the game goes on it should stop working entirely. Whatever it is that Kennedy did in the past has angered the gods SO much that they've even found a way to block arcane magic. Now, does this mean that potions won't work either? I don't know. Thoughts?

As I said previously, I don't think Laniya needs to come in right away. But I agree that she should come in at a dramatic moment.

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

I was looking at the classes this morning and though that Laniya would make for a good Warlock, with some Rogue feats taken. But the online character builder that i found is making it nearly impossible for me to create her properly.

What I was thinking is that she would take Warlock as her primary class, and then her three feats (she's half-elf by the way) would be used to pick up the Rogue multiclass feat: Sneak of Shadows. This would then allow her to take Skill Focus: Thievery, and then some other feat. Perhaps Improved Initiative or Novice Power: Dazing Strike.

I know it seems silly to have two rogues in the group, but as I noted previously Kennedy's journey will take him in a "rebirth" direction. Which I believe he gets reborn as a Dragonborn Paladin. But that would be redundant too if Joey was a Paladin. Maybe he could become an Avenger or something ... I don't know. That's for later.

Anyway, the real point is that I need help creating Laniya. Any online suggestions for character generation?

Sounds good. And it'll be interesting to read how/why she wound up being warlock, who she made a pact with, etc.

A note: The whole "being reborn as a dragonborn" thing is earlier edition. In 4th edition, Dragonborn is its own race and you don't get reborn as one. But like you said, that can be taken care of later. More than happy to discuss it in the meantime, though. :)

Sadly, thanks to all the confusion with Wizards, your best hope is to try and find the old "Dungeons and Dragons Character Builder" on demonoid or something. Since Wizards no longer has it for download. If it were me, I would just create the character the old-fashioned way. In some cases, I don't have a choice anyway.

Here's where things will get interesting. I have in mind what's in the case, what it does, and why it is able to "help" Reverie. The question is which one of you can and will retrieve the item inside the case. Since Kennedy is faceplanted, chances are Joey will at least see the message first. But it's up to you two who gets the item inside. It isn't an item you'll find anywhere in the books.

Joey's mindset is that he's got the armor to take the damage should the box be a trap, and Kennedy's still not completely recovered from his injury.  Never mind the fainting spell.  And the evidence that he's been cursed with extremely bad luck.  So I'll be writing up a post of Joey going for the box ASAP.

Well, got Rhagar set up again for level 1.  I'll double check for any other oops mistakes tomorrow, like "Wait, Shortbow is 15/30 range not 15/40".

And then remembering Rogues don't even start with shortbow proficiency (Essentials Rogue does, but loses Shuriken Prof), and none of their powers with with one despite the sneak attack rules including them.  Rogue weapon proficiencies are kind of a mess.  But at least now that Rapier has been downgraded to a Military weapon, I can grab proficiency for that with a Background.

Might take the feat that lets rogues actually do stuff with Shortbows (Moonbow stalker, Rogue, Sehanine as listed deity) at level 2, if we make it that far.  Depends on how often we are in wide open areas instead of cramped rooms, I guess.

At some point I need to grab Duelists Panache, and Emerald might like it (Cha 13, Rogue. Dragon mag 381. Nerf from flat bonus to Feat bonus).   +CHA Feat bonus to your Acrobatics and Athletics skill.  Meaning your noodle limbs Charisma based Rogue not only gets double stats to Acro, but is just as good as a strong rogue at Athletics.

I have the character up on the cast click. The crossed out "Fast Hands" is because I'm getting that the very next level, so I have it "unlockable" at the moment so all I have to do us un-strike the power when we hit lvl 2.

I do so hope this game happens. XD

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

Ran level 1 Emerald through builder like you asked.  I love it when you list your class features.  Though on that note, you can't have BOTH Virtue of Cunning, and Virtue of Valor.  Unless that is a holdover for when you get something in a later level that gives you both?

Spoilers: Everything wrong with your sheet is in your favor.

  Ability Scores: check out.

HP, Defense, surges:  Good news; You should have 7 Heal Surges, not 6. Everything else checks out.

Skills:  Stealth should be 5, not 3 (Racial Fox bonus! Probably overlooked because you are using old builder). I am again surprised that Thievery (Or Stealth) is not a default for Bards.  Even though DEX is not a bard Primary or Secondary stat.

Equipment:  OMG you forgot to list a wand!  Nah, it's level 1 so bare hand work just as well for powers that don't specifically say "Must use implement."
Also, Emerald is a Hengeyokai mechanically these days, so she is allowed to do things like wield a longbow, or use a Longsword in one hand since she is only Small in Flavor.

Powers: Two things wrong (in your favor).
Yeah, you should totally have more than +4 Vs. AC on your weapon powers (Guiding Strike, and Echoes of the guardian).  That should be at LEAST +6 Vs. AC, +7 Vs. AC with dagger or shortsword.
I say at least, because either you need to add your freebie expertise to your powers.  Or, I need to remove freebie expertise from mine because different boards may have different house rules.

Language has a few bits to it
1: Good news!  You forgot to list your free choice of either Draconic, Dwarven, or Elven from Scholar.
2A:  Who cares, take it anyways.  Secret Language seems to get counted as one of those "Can't take as a level 1 freebie" Languages like Supernal and Abyssal, though for the moment I only see this from builder results (can't find where they talk about secret language in some PDF skims or compendium).
2B: My brain was trying to remember what 4th Ed thing was basically "Secret Thief language".  But I was remembering the class feature listed in DnD NEXT/5th Ed.
3:  Rhagar has 9 Int, so if you want to say he never picked up secret rogue chat you burned a language slot for (Until you reach level 10, anyway), I will totally go with it for giggles.

EXTRAS YOU COULD HAVE:  Heroes Of The Feywild (starting page 53) apparently added some extra options for Bard. Not "take this instead of X class feature", just added on.  They are of the "If your GM is cool with this" sort of option.

These include things like "You are so popular you attract up to three servants in town", "Game mechanic for Bard performance=free stay at in for party", and "You are famous enough to rate free taxi rides in town, at GM discretion this will include things like Griffons in super fancy Eladrin cities that are much cooler than mortal ones". There are 5 options, you can get up to 4 of them. You pick two at level 1, one at level 13, and one more at level 17.

EDIT: Unrelated.  Interesting Paragon path for your Wizard/Rouge Hybrid Beth.   Arcane Trickster (Rogue, trained in arcana).  Passive perks include.  Lv11 Dagger works as implement.  Can use Arcana for Athletics checks.  Spending an action point to attack, one target of choice (even on a miss) treats you as Invisible (save ends).  LV 16, When making an arcane attack, you can treat ranged powers as Melee with a dagger.
Powers include, encounter minor action blinding flash.  Daily "You summon an encounter long invisible wall that only you can see, and bocks enemy LoS to you and your allies".
lv 20 Daily "Light blade teleport stab.  :ducksiren:Effect: ENCOUNTER LONG HAVE TELEPORT = YOUR SPEED,:ducksiren: whenever you teleport next to an enemy it grants you CA until the end of your turn".

EDIT 2: Emerald sheet relevant.  More mistakes in your favor.
Blunder gets a Virtue of Cunning bonus.  Instead of +2 bonus to the attack roll,  it is INT+1.

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

I'm good for whatever method and setting you and Tim would prefer.

It would also be nice to look at Jedi stuff during chargen to actually use it, for once.

EDIT: If mechanics, your preferences on stat guidlines would be good to know so I can properly obsess over them work out options.  Also, all the comments of "No see you're fine because you have MORE SKILLS" gains a bit more weight, when 2+int is staring you in the face personally, and it still makes you use up one of those on learning "Use The Force" despite handing you a free lightsabre.

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

Tim would rather game with a rules system.  I'd rather go with Saga than d6.  Salow's starting points are waaay better than the standard book point buy, so I'll go with his.  Hate the "must take piles of feats to negate ranged attack penalties" so I'd like to handwave every PC gets those feats for free like they do in 4e.  We can talk about ranged attacks adding Dex mod damage as well.  I'm in favor of it.  Other likely houserules include: everyone gets Jedi BAB progression regardless of class, and HP will be more 4e-like.  Never EVER liked rolled HP.

Rules. And yeah. Would likely play ewok. Prolly Ikia.

*sees Igatho on cast list and winds up with thought process leading to Immunity Fire = immunity light saber*

As for setting? ....torn. On one hand, I'd love to interact with the likes of Luke and Vader. On the other hand, it'd be cool to be in a setting where none of us knows the plot or how it will end.

Since you want to play Mit, I recommend NOT KOTOR since you already played her through that whole campaign for 20 levels. In saga, no less.

Otherwise? Umm.... I guess my vote is Rebellion era after all.

On houserules, yeah. I agree on all mentioned houserulings.

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

I still need to think of a satisfying last name for Human Jedi.  Matt Matthews works in comic book games as a variant but I'm just so used to "BLARG NOT A STARWARSY NAME" even if I know you guys would not pull that.  Fortunately, first name basis means I can just omit said last name whenever I need to get posting.

Got a rough outline for first three levels since that was involved with the whole "Do I want to start with Extra force powers, Pistol prof, or weapon finess to be able to hit things with sabre?" and the resulting followup choices.

Settled on Pistol Prof at start, Weapon Finess at lv 2.  I IC defend this choice because wholesale SPACE WIZARD Jedi pumping WIS+CHA would be crap with their sabres attack rolls as well.  I am tempted by that "dex+damage" house rule (Weapon finesse is hit only, though there is a Jedi Knight prestige talent for DEX DMG that can be taken at a minimum of lv 7).

My GAME SCIENCE reasoning want to see how a Jedi actually plays out without crutch beneficial house rules like "Oh, let's just bundle Deflect and Block into one talent/get it for free." Or the "Byron Special" version of Negate Energy where it works no matter what, instead of a Pass/Fail beat the damage roll method in both D6 and Saga. Also, the D6 version is stronger AND weaker. D6 "Absorb/dissipate" works on everything from blasters to sunstroke to radiation, as well as force lightning.   Saga "Negate energy" only works vs Weapon Energy.  However,   D6 needs to beat "Moderate DC+Damage".  Saga is "Just beat the damage".

But I'll go with whatever House rules of convenience you two want for this since half the point is not worrying about that sort of thing so much.

Ikia:
*sees Igatho on cast list and winds up with thought process leading to Immunity Fire = immunity light saber*

While normally no because "Keywords", there IS a super rare crystal that turns your sabre into "Deals fire damage instead, and lights people on fire" according to Salow's notes of amazing.  Fire damage incidentally, bypasses "Negate Energy" (though not resist energy, which takes a standard to cast)

ALSO!  The "Ion Damage only" Crystal is cooler than the "Stun damage only" crystal.  Because Ion damage does the same thing as Stun damage vs Organics.

EDIT: Good news for Jedi I didn't realize. Raising your Wis Mod, adds extra force powers per "Force training" taken.  I love retroactive gains.

I also looked up the "person on fire" rules.   +5 Vs Fort, 1d6 on hit, half on miss. Full round action to put yourself out.  (Combustion inflicted fire does UTF Vs. Fort instead).

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

What the book says about credits:

Pg 248 "Other Rewards":  As a general rule, a challenging yet fair encounter should net the heroes resources equal to their average level x 2,000 credits, to be devided equally among them.  Easy encounters may deliver half as many resources or none at all, and difficult encounters should give 50% more at least."

The book assumes 4 PCs.  2k / 4 = 500 credits each per encounter.  Each player should be getting about 200 xp ber encounter.  Which translates to 1/5th of the xp total needed to level.  So a PC should be getting about 2500 credits by the time they reach lvl 2.

So to get the "wealth per level" the formula is 500 x level x the number of fights needed to get to next level.

Re: Old Ordo  Cantina (OOC)

Thought: Star Wars is a setting where blasters are the weapon of choice most times and only Jedi consider Melee. So why give ranged combatants a penalty for shooting into melee? I thought about this and the only reason I can think of is "to encourage anyone engaged in melee to stick with the opponent in front of them, lest they get shot at."

Darcy is going gunbunny, but if she chooses soldier (which makes sense), she will have to wait till minimum level 4 to buy the Precise Shot feat (because she will have to wait for level 2 to get its prerequisite feat). Which means for levels 1 to 3, she will be taking a -5 penalty to her attacks against any enemy engaged in melee.

Proposed solution: Everyone starts with Precise Shot feat (so if another feat has Precise Shot as a prerequisite, you don't have to worry about it).
