Timiro: Credian Nights

Being underworld crime lords in Credia is tough work. Thankfully Walroo and his now mostly deceased cronies laid the groundwork so Gord & Ferret couldn’t fuck things up too bad. Well actually they kinda did but it was nothing a year or so of perseverance and a serious body count couldn’t fix. Overall it has not been nearly as much fun as the two of them anticipated and of course their own personal foibles have threatened to derail them on numerous occasions. Nevertheless Ferret still has an irrational devotion to gold that is equal parts sexual fetish and religious fervor. Were it not for Gord who frequently lies to and manipulates the quirky Changeling then none of their business endeavors would bear fruit. Despite the Atlanteans seemingly level head, rational mind and near sociopathic businesslike approach to the art of assassination and guild management he ever more frequently loses himself in murderous sprees of violence against the sub-human population of Timiro.

Regardless of the growing pains involved the two entrepreneurs have firmly entrenched themselves in the Timirian underworld by combining three lesser guilds of assassination, thievery and prostitution into one powerful guild. The competition is scarce and becoming desperate. Most recently one of their most fierce opponents, a guild that had a near stranglehold on the cities drug trade decided that since it could not beat them they would join them and now The Guild has a direct pipeline to the lucrative Western Empire narcotics market. The gold is rolling in and the powers that be have taken notice however with a good portion of the kingdoms Nobles under their thumb, thanks to the exploitation of their vices, as well as a decent number of law enforcement, barristers and the like on the payroll the future looks bright and they have little to worry about from the legitimate types. Speaking of, the High Magus of the Credia’s Guildus Arcanus has recently made contact and requests a meeting. They are not exactly advertising it in the local newspaper but even so such a meeting is almost unheard of and carries significant political ramifications. The fact that such a powerful and prestigious organization would invite a criminal enterprise to their table is monumental.

The contact came through one of Gords young assassins in training. A new breed of killer, acolytes of Dragan who are chosen for their skill and most importantly their unwavering loyalty to Gord. Apparently when Gord made short-work of Duke Aleandro Grayman at a Royal ball without so much as tipping off his personal retinue or the kings guards they took notice. Their message was that while they may not agree with what occurred they did respect the professional manner in which it was conducted. The High Magus himself has a business proposition he wishes to present. The meeting is to be a the Guildus Arcanus headquarters, a monolithic tower in Old Credia that is one of the original structures of the city and one of the oldest in all of Timiro.

Re: Timiro: Credian Nights

Ferret is stacking gold sovereigns on the table in front of him. Each is a 500 gold denomination coin and the stacks are 100 coins high. So far he has 220 stacks. It is more gold than 99% of the population of Palladium will possess in their entire lives. Its the money he has earned playing poker so far this year. When Gord comes in he starts deftly sliding the stacks off the table with a practiced motion causing them to dissapear into the dimensional space in the top off his staff. It always pisses Gord off how paranoid Ferret is about his gold as if Gord even gives a shit or would dream of stealing it. Still somethings you just can't change. He pauses to look up at Gord and actually stops secreting away his stash though it obviosuly pains him. "Hmm... So whadda ya think is it a trap? Am I going with or are ya solo or are ya goin at all? Whats your play ?" Ferret uses telekinesis to bolt the door Gord just came in. He hates how the man always leaves doors unlocked.

Re: Timiro: Credian Nights

"O I'm sure it is a trap, but we are not just going to walk right into it. If you come with me we can hole up somewhere close by and we can get one of the new guildies to submit to a possession. Or we could get a homeless guy and I could possess him. I just need you to protect my body. I think that would be easier than to have you infiltrate as one of the apprentices and be inside waiting. I don't think we have time to do the surveillance and that would be more dangerous. With the possession if it is a trap then I can just come back to my body. What do you think?"

Re: Timiro: Credian Nights

Ferret sits quietly for a minute thinking the situation over before answering. "I doubt its a trap meant to assassinate  its too obvious and they risk too much inviting you into their tower. Still they are mages so who knows what kind of wacked out plans they might have. It could be a test or if we are just being paranoid then we might end up offending them and pissing off a very important business relation. Still we didnt get this far because we take stupid chances. Except the ones that are forced upon us. Either way go prepared." Ferret finishes putting his gold away.

"True, it might not be a trap to kill. I still think I should possess someone since they don't know what we look like anyway and I will be there in mind if not body, it should be ok. I just don't want to go strolling into a mages tower unprepared."

Re: Timiro: Credian Nights

Gord chooses a young guild rat named Skeet that is equal parts eager and stupid who agrees to be possessed. Your mind forces his into submission and your body slumps unceremoniously onto the floor. Ferret transfers Gords limp body over to the pallet he uses for sleeping inside the closet of the otherwise palatial room.

OOC: Your go, if you dont put up a whole CS for Gord before you go the meet & greet at least put up a list of what he plans on taking with him.
