Timiro: Credian Nights
Being underworld crime lords in Credia is tough work. Thankfully Walroo and his now mostly deceased cronies laid the groundwork so Gord & Ferret couldn’t fuck things up too bad. Well actually they kinda did but it was nothing a year or so of perseverance and a serious body count couldn’t fix. Overall it has not been nearly as much fun as the two of them anticipated and of course their own personal foibles have threatened to derail them on numerous occasions. Nevertheless Ferret still has an irrational devotion to gold that is equal parts sexual fetish and religious fervor. Were it not for Gord who frequently lies to and manipulates the quirky Changeling then none of their business endeavors would bear fruit. Despite the Atlanteans seemingly level head, rational mind and near sociopathic businesslike approach to the art of assassination and guild management he ever more frequently loses himself in murderous sprees of violence against the sub-human population of Timiro.
Regardless of the growing pains involved the two entrepreneurs have firmly entrenched themselves in the Timirian underworld by combining three lesser guilds of assassination, thievery and prostitution into one powerful guild. The competition is scarce and becoming desperate. Most recently one of their most fierce opponents, a guild that had a near stranglehold on the cities drug trade decided that since it could not beat them they would join them and now The Guild has a direct pipeline to the lucrative Western Empire narcotics market. The gold is rolling in and the powers that be have taken notice however with a good portion of the kingdoms Nobles under their thumb, thanks to the exploitation of their vices, as well as a decent number of law enforcement, barristers and the like on the payroll the future looks bright and they have little to worry about from the legitimate types. Speaking of, the High Magus of the Credia’s Guildus Arcanus has recently made contact and requests a meeting. They are not exactly advertising it in the local newspaper but even so such a meeting is almost unheard of and carries significant political ramifications. The fact that such a powerful and prestigious organization would invite a criminal enterprise to their table is monumental.
The contact came through one of Gords young assassins in training. A new breed of killer, acolytes of Dragan who are chosen for their skill and most importantly their unwavering loyalty to Gord. Apparently when Gord made short-work of Duke Aleandro Grayman at a Royal ball without so much as tipping off his personal retinue or the kings guards they took notice. Their message was that while they may not agree with what occurred they did respect the professional manner in which it was conducted. The High Magus himself has a business proposition he wishes to present. The meeting is to be a the Guildus Arcanus headquarters, a monolithic tower in Old Credia that is one of the original structures of the city and one of the oldest in all of Timiro.
