Another thing I wanted to say is since I am doing essentially a new game anyone who wants to change to a different character is certainly welcome to. I am pretty sure Arc and Batrac won't want to change and fairly sure about Padaran but less sure about Aaban or Burikan.

In a way it would be nice to start anew at 0 xp but I just don't know how hard that would be for the existing players to do...

I'm okay with Padran but wouldn't be entirely averse to changing him if needed.

For a new campaign I'd like to see some urban adventures at some point, in one of Talislanta's big cosmopolitan cities. Maybe something involving a festival or something else that draws people from all over? Plenty of room for intrigue, theft and romance.

There is really no need for anyone to change their character, only if it is something they want to do because they want something different.

No worries, easier to just go as-is. Plus it will allow me to be a bit tougher on everyone. ;)

Well shit, I just found out the person who players Burikan just died. It must have happened over the weekend because he had posted on Friday 6/3. I hope that his family and friends take care of themselves and I am sad to lose someone I had acquaintance with on here for quite a few years...

I just grokked that with Burikan's player's passing the game is officially down to ONE player remaining active from the original group....

So it has been 2 months since Burikan's player died. The potential active players are down to 5; Aaban (Aamanian Warrior-Priest), Arc (Yassan Technomancer), Batrac (Manra Shapechanger), Leaves Whispers (Ariane Seeker), and Padaran (Cymrilian Rogue Magician). The group is heavy on casters and light on fighting types but it can be worked with. Would people be satisfied with the group as is and are people interested in continuing? I am on vacation this week and have the ability to put in some time to get things rolling if people are on-board. (I know I need to help Leaves Whispers to come up with some Transform spells of the Nature Order)

I'm good as is.

More than happy to continue...although I like Arc if we need a fighter type to balance out the group I'm more than happy to create a new character to fill that space...don't tend to play fighters so it will be a refreshing challenge :)

Yes a new storyline. The characters that existed prior (which is you at this point) will stay at the same XP and those who joined will be at that amount as well. It looks like Arc will be changing to a Gryph Hunter for some combat ability for the group (he volunteered). Otherwise the lineup is as follows: Aaban, Arc's new character, Batrac, Leaves Whispers, and Padaran. I did see that the person who was going to take over Novo logged in but I don't know if that means they are playing.

Since it IS a new storyline and Aaban you are the only remaining member of the original group you are welcome to make up a new character if you like. That actually applies to anyone else although Leaves Whispers put a lot of work into spells and the character so I don't see that happening there. Batrac seems content with his PC and I imagine Padaran's player wants to see the PC get used as well.

I didn't even remember this game. It doesn't look like it ever got started with the newer players.

I don't remember joining, and I only vaguely recall my own character.
