Re: Campsite

still making  his cricuit and looking for game   and trouble, he stops, his breath almost stopping as he  listens  and watches...to see  how near the  creatures  might be.

In reply to Khorden Stonegrip (msg #18):

Clair chuckles to Khorden, no my friend tonight's game is for who will take a watch and who will get extra sleep between me and Goseric.  Any time you wish to play a game or two, I will play for um say, who cooks or cleans the dishes/campfire up instead of coins.  I play for the fun of the game more so then the profit of the coin though my Lady does like her offering plate to be heavy at times :)

OOC - will assume highest d20 roll wins each game between Goseric and Clair - Goseric your roll first please.

Re: Campsite

As Gosric plays the bag Osk gave him hops into the open (no matter where it was.) From within pops out what looks to be a model of a hut. The model has a note attached to it written in Elven.

[Private to Kree Quickshadow; Senuviel Alantir: Note reads "Greetings! Just in case, I am lending you my camping gear, command words are grow, shrink, and gaurd (will set the wyvern watch.) Doors will lock when activated. Enjoy! Osk]

Re: Campsite

Gosric, about to play a card, jumps back.  "What's this, then?"  He tentatively reaches out for the note.  He couldn't speak Elven, but he thought he recognized the writing.

14:14, Today: Gosric the Full rolled 11 using 1d20. Gaming dice roll.

20:34, Today: Clair Brandywhine rolled 8 using 1d20. gaming roll.

Making her gaming check, but I guess not rolling the higher of the two rolls looses the first game.

Argh, Ah OK Goseric, you got the first game - hey what is that a tent out of the bag??  what does the note say?

Looks at the note, wow, it is in Elvish, can you read it Goseric or do you want me to??

Re: Campsite

Gosric blushed a little at his mistake.  Elvish, not Elven!!!  Don't be an idiot.  If there was one thing he hated, it was looking like an uneducated rube.  Clearing his throat, he shakes his head no.  "I...uhhh....never had the chance to learn.  A beautiful language, I understand, though."  He moves aside for someone else to read the note.

Kree did identify the sounds as a pack of wolves, the pack does not seem to be approaching the camp site.

The  elf holds out his hand to take the note, he reads it and looks at the  tent then says to Clair  "Greetings! Just in case, I am lending you my camping gear, command words are grow, shrink, and gaurd (will set the wyvern watch.) Doors will lock when activated. Enjoy"

he chuckles,..the  fellow is either good hearted, or wishes to make sure  we live long enough to get his goods to him!

Kree frowns, I  am not schooled in the arts, nor have  i ever been with any who have used such a thing. Perhaps..the  rest of you use the tent?  I was  stand watch outside? Seems  a might chancy to have us all locked up in one place...aye?

Re: Campsite

Interestingly even with Kree reading aloud the little hut does not react. Kree thinks as the note is in Elven perhaps the commands must be spoken in Elven.

[Private to Senuviel Alantir: You passed your roll and know what Wyvern watch is let me know if you need the spell description.]

[Private to Gosric the Full: Gosric knows what Wyvern Watch is (2nd level priest spell) if you need the spell description let me know.]

Clair takes Snare and moves away from the tent to give it room to grow.

Yea, I was kinda thinking on those lines to but it would serve Osk nothing for us to not get his supplies.  we have to think on this one.

The hut (not tent) shutters and grows to a  full size three bedroom hut. Almost looking out of place in the clearing you guys found.

"Wyvern watch....uh, it sets an ethereal guardian who watches us." Gosric says absent-mindedly, hardly paying attention to what he says.  "Are we supposed to go inside this thing?  Did Osk say something about this?"

Khorden's eyes near pop as the parcel grows to a full sized hut.  "By th' gods..." he mutters.  He looks it over carefully, like a miser looking at a gold ring that he suspects is merely gilded.

When it's done growing, he draws his axe and moves over to nudge the hut with it, not seeking to do damage but just being inquisitive.  He slowly works his way around the hut, continuing his prodding.

Emerging back to the side with the others, he kooks to the others, "Do we trust it?  What do we know of this mage who passes on such gifts?"

Gosric follows behind and lets out a delighted laugh.  "Wizards know how to travel.  If only he had a liquor cabinet, library and fireplace here, I would spend my life adventuring."  He throws his hands in the air and falls on a cot.  Putting his hands behind his head, he turns to Clair.  "So, I guess we can change the stakes now.  Dice for drinks?  Who buys we get back to the Golden Trumpet?"
