OOC Gag, this laptop is killing me, I need to fix that darn blue screen of death on my XP PC.   Darn, restore CD's do not work.  hmph, make me go through loops.
Ha, good news, I could install windows 98 or WeMee (sp) OS.  Got my 98 PC up but no internet dial up gone.

Re: Docks: Warehouse 4-6

They find the Harbormaster a human named Flint he regards the party.

"I dont know about bats, but we certainly have rats, I will provide you the keys and even pay you 1 silver per 10 rats you kill." he smiles a rather unsavory smile "Do know some of our rats do get well big."

Re: Docks: Warehouse 4-6

Senuviel lets loose an ironic smile. Ah! A challenge then, and we're even going to get paid for that. Prepare your curative spells clerics, who knows what kinds of disease those blaming rats bring in their guts. The elf all of a sudden looks stern and dark as he gets the keys from the portmaster's hands. Let's get this errand finished, aye? Says the warrior/mage as he walks outside.

Re: Docks: Warehouse 4-6

Khorden stumps along to the rear of the group, a scowl on his face.  He didn't like boats, or the ocean, or harbours, or anything to do with large bodies of water.  if the others thought there'd be bats about then fine, but clearing vermin from warehouses wasn't going to earn him anything save jeers and cruel jokes.  But if this is what's needed, the the Dwarf would see it done.

Happy to be moving, and in a good cause, as slaying rats will aid traders and merchants alike, Gostric actually seems quite chipper.

as they enter the  warehouse, Kree looks  at Gosric  with a slight grin,I am thinking, if we really wanted to rid the place of beasts, we should just send Gosric in, with a  knife, fork and Napkin...

Gostric chuckles at the joke, though he seems to pat Tum Tum with sympathy at the allegation that such a thing would work without some herbs, sauce and a good chef.

"Aye, I've eaten worse in my day, I tell you; but it's the catchin' of them that would worry me. Quick little beasties."

Stepping inside, he sniffs for the telltale acidic scent of guano, be it bird or bat.

"You that see heat, can you see the ceiling? Bats are mammals, after all."

Let's get over with it. Says the elf. There must be a way to lure the rats out of their hiding places, maybe if we use some food.

Warehouse 4:

The party opens and enters the warehouse finding it full of old smelly crates small rats scatter at your feet but noting quite so large yet anyway. Moving through you do not spot any bats you do however find 5 rather large human sized rats...

Initiative please

Re: Docks: Warehouse 4-6

After entering the place Senuviel warrior's senses urge him to draw his sword. The warrior/mage prepares his weapon and shield as he darts forward to engage one of the beasts. Careful folks, these aren't mere rats.

Khorden snorts at Senuviel's assurance that they're no mere rats.  "Bigger maybe, but nothing else I sees."  But whatever Khorden's words say, the drawing of his blade and the sudden inability to do anything worthwhile with it are clearly evident.

Bruga enters with daggers drawn underhand. When the rats appear, he places himself between Clair and them.  If any are close enough, he attempts to strike. One does come close to what looks like the daintiest morsels, and is greeted with a poke and another glint of steel.

20:19, Today: Clair Brandywhine rolled 4 using 1d10+2. init.

The realization that Clair was distracted by Bruga's charming defense of her causes her to react too slow knowing that a Bless would not work now being last to react, though good to see a quick party reaction, Clair casts a green colored Fairy Fire on the unwanted rats getting all she can of them with her spell.

OOC All rats effected give you a +1 hit them in day light.

Caught up looking at the rafters, Gostric is surprised at the quick movements of his companions, and takes a moment to focus on the new foes.

"Well crap..." he says, frantically searching for his weapon.

Re: Docks: Warehouse 4-6

just so you guys know for attack rolls rat ac= 7 Clair's Faerie fire effect will start in round 2 and give them an active ac of 8

Init:

Bruga 12
Senuviel 10
Kree 8
Gosric 7
RATS 6
Clair 4
Khorden 2

Now you guys have commented on this before, so i will reexplain

I use a higher init rather then a lower one first because i dont use casting time for spells. But second to me it has always made sense that the faster you are the quicker you should go.

Re: Docks: Warehouse 4-6

Bruga moved in front of Clair and manages to snick a rat in front of him, the rat merely snarls at him. Senuviel also manages a clean hit but it doesn't seem to do much against the rat he hits. Kree manages to place an arrow in the cieling before putting on into a rat.

Gosric whips his sling and a stone smacks a rat bloodying him but not killing

Rat 1 (Bruga hit it) tries to snap at bruga but misses
Rat 2 (Senuviel hit it) tries to snap at Senuviel and while it does bit him in the armor it doesn't get through.
Rat 3 (Kree's arrow is in this one) Charges after Kree, but can not also attack this round.

Rat 4 (Gosric's hit) Tries to go after Khorden but misses

Rat 5 Gangs up on Bruga (apparently he looks yummy) and manages to bite him for 1 point of damage.

Clair casts a spell and the rats begin to glow with the Faerie Fire

Even with the spells having happened Khorden manages to connect with nothing.

(ooc i will prepare for round 2 and add Gosric's actions for this round Keneally I do need your initiative)

The order stands

Bruga 12
Senuviel 10
Kree 8
Gosric 7
RATS 6
Clair 4
Khorden 2

Will add Keneally into the order for round 2.

Oh you are drawing blood but no one did a whole lot in any hit to kill one or do much more then piss them off. Oh i missed them :) But yeah I have register HP losses of 2, 3, and 4. Indvidually this isn't much. They are bigger then that, but you are hitting them.
