Re: The Castle of Lotan

In reply to Senuviel Alantir (msg # 760):

Kree, you watch as Bruga and Senuviel sit in chairs opposite each other.

At first nothing happens, then the two chairs slide together back to back revealing a small hole where the chairs each were.  Enough room for a person to squeeze into and down.

Bruga, you look down into the hole in front of you and see steps leading straight down like a ladder would.

Senuviel you look down into the hole in front of you and see what looks like a chute or slide leading down.

The chairs has locked into place.  The door you all came into has also locked.

Re: The Castle of Lotan

In reply to Bruga Honeyfinder (msg # 763):

Kree You only end up stubbing your toe taking 1 point temp damage.  The chair is a solid wooden chair that will not budge.  Almost like licking a stone.  No reclining chairs :(

Cool air like from a basement is filtering up from the holes AND Bruga and Senuviel, you feel ans minor urge to go into the holes out of curiosity and do not feel like you would fall into them (like being afraid of heights).  Though you do not know what will happen if you try to get off the chairs and NOT going into the holes.

Senuviel looks at his comrades. So, what will it be? Do we go downstairs or slide down the chute?

Well, if one goes down a ladder, there's a chance one will be able to go back up the ladder Not so easy with the chute.

In reply to Senuviel Alantir (msg # 772):

With a wobble and an exaderated arm swing you make it off the chair and avoid falling into the chute.

You sit on the next chair and nothing happens.

In reply, fruga starts climbing down the ladder. As soon as he is able, he twists himself so he can look at what's around and below, with a glance at the now-ceiling.

Re: The Castle of Lotan

In reply to Bruga Honeyfinder (msg # 776):

Bruga goes down the ladder.

Bruga - the ladder looks warn and reusted in spots but not real bad, surprisingly.   At the landing there is a magical lamp dimly lighting the area.  You find yourself in a 10x10 room, door facing the way the chute would probably be and one on the opposite side going away from your ladder.  No, the lamp is firmly and magically attached to the wall.  Most likely for those who climb down the ladder to see.

The two chairs are still together revealing the ladder and chute holes.

Senuviel goes down the ladder. He then reports to Kree. There's light down here, Kree. And there are doors here, too.

Senuviel nods at Bruga's decision. Aye, lad. Do your dungeon guiding job as usual, yes? Senuviel smiles at the halfling, draws his sword and readies his shield.

Without knocking this time, Bruga listens at the door and, if all seems not unwell, opens it so he's behind it. (Unless it's loud enough for a normal person to hear, he heard nothing)

In reply to Kree Quickshadow (msg # 784):

The door opens to a dimly lit hallway, as you look down it curves to the right say 60' away?  No doors or anything visible down the hallway.

Do you go on?
