Re: On the way there

Senuviel sips his mead and munches a bunch of bread with deer's meat, then he speaks. We all have much to learn and with all the things we have passed through as a group, we've been through a lot, lately, specially when it comes to trust each other. Even though we all have our grudges, ghosts from the past or taints in our souls, different point of views, etc, we work well as a team and it seems Maki adn Groddam are doing meddling well with us too. The elf takes another sip of mead. I understand Kree's feelings. Elves love freedom and the contact with nature and its living beings. You lock an elf in a dungeon for too long and he loses the will to live, making a bad slave or even dying. The fact Astar is an elf slaver only contributes to fuel hate and prejudice. I don't feel the same way as Kree does, we wizards are trained to reason, ponder and balance the situation before we take decisions. Harsh decisions in wizardry often turn out as disasters. I'll respect any decisions we take, but I vow we don't act harshly when we don't need to. The elf's eyes move from Maki to Groddam. And what about you two? What do you think?

"I had it easy it seems so far. My God grants me the gift to detect evil. I may have relied too much on that. But it did make things much easier." Maki smiled.
"I don't need any gift, to know what to do with Astar though. But for now i'm glad we saved at least the three ladies trapped in that dungeon."

Kree smiles a bit, giving  Maki a Pat on the back, then goes back to his wine,...saddly ,my friend? we have to take solace in such things...every life  taken back..or  every slaver's life taken..helps to soothe the wounds of this world...

In reply to Bruga Honeyfinder (msg # 220):

Cair softly speaks, Kree, your soul is deep in your ways of thinking, fear not Basheba will guide you when the time is right.  sighs, taking of life without provocation is dire if you press your luck and your actions and words do not reflect thought and mission while playing your cards in luck and what Basheba grants you.

Maki, strong holy warrior, evil alone is not enough to make rightful decisions, luck has brought you this far, smiles and to us as we will help meld you to a better person for even evil can be good grinning and good can be evil.

Senuviel, straight and true, magic is your course and you think almost too wisely chuckles, judgment of others is luck at times and not at other times.  Yes, Elves has been a target of slavers but alsa so have other races.

Bruga, Bruga, we will all learn a lot nore before the day is out, trust your companions whether they are lucky in picking there paths or not you have held strong so keep that as you grow because we all need each other and our odd ways for luck, yes and Besheba have brought us together.

Groddam, the mighty Dwarf, luck may not be much in your vocabulary but strength and truth is and some luck grinning, you balance us out.

now slavers are always going to be around, that is how luck draws the playing feild, it is our wills  to keep the cards drawn to be numbers only and no face cards.  Me an Snare will follow all of your to whatever end there is, good, bad, lucky or unlucky as that is what life has drawn for us.

And I agree, no torture no un motivated killing, we must give everybody there due till the show there hand.  shakes her head, we were at one point helping slavers without knowing it so in truce, we were slavers but luck is on our side because we prevailed for a higher purpose so let's think before we act, a little bit but yes Slavers are to be brought to justice, who's?

Smiles, now, what is it we do?  Gypsy camp or North or was it Northwest Bruga??

Re: On the way there

shaking his head  and shrugging,...I am not asking  any here..for permission...it will be in the hands of  The Sisters, whether slavers  fall to my blade one  way or the other..I have seen children tortured, so parents would give themselves up...I...have no qualms, and i am not Hyporcrite enough to give goodly treatent , to evil folks...they have to earn that....My future is dark, until i find what i seek one way or the other, with that thought in mind, I have little fear of  crossing a dark line...to end a dark threat...Now...I for one...say the Gypsies have suffered enough...aye?..and..with them on the loose, they may cause more problems  for our foes, that we could never match...

Re: On the way there

Senuviel finishes his mead, he asks the tavern mistress for more. He smiles at Clair and nods to Kree. I agreee with Kree. We should free the gypsies from their torment. Breaking such a powerful spell might weaken the one who cast it for some days, even weeks, and yes.. I think the gypsies might want revenge on whoever cursed them to "live" an undead life in the swamp, so this can buy us sime advantage over our enemies. What say you?

Re: On the way there

I think you got it wrong, Maki. They've been cursed. Bound to live inside the limits of their own camp by a foul circle of magic. They're not exactely undead but powerful illlusion deceives our eyes making the gypsies look as they were undead. But fortunately Bruga here knows how to get inside the circle. Our task should be simple, the only problem being on how to break the enchantment without unleashing any sort of side or ill effect upon us or the gypsies.

In reply to Groddam AxeHandle (msg # 229):

While the group is chatting a young lass walks in carrying a large wooden table top by the looks of it.  Smiles at seeing the group and walks over.  Sets the wooden table top on top of the table, good day sirs and miss, tiss an old friend of yours paid me to bring this to you all saying, a small dent repairable but can you catch me at grandma house.  smiles and quickly moves off.

You look at the table top and Kree, behold it looks as though who ever gave this to the lad had cut out the wall where you drew your symbol where you freed the 3 lady's.

The young lass is well gone before you come to the realization of what he left behind

Re: On the way there

That house is used by slavers no doubt. Probably they expect we take the bait and return there to check the house and get into their trap. I say we deal with the gypsies first. If we return to that house, the only thing we're going to find there is another bunch of thugs.

Senuviel then adds in a more somber tone. As usual they are watching us, I say we take a different approach, something that shows them we've lost the interest in their business. And then when the time is right, we strike back swiftly.

In reply to Maki (msg # 234):

As you turn it over to look at Kree makrings and he traces them, the other side glows and a magic mouth appears, and speaks, Over the river and through the woods not a wolf nor sheep cloths can you stop him by hark the lark calls out half past three then the mouth fizzles out.   Bruga the voice is one you recognize from within the Gypse camp.
