I have to agree with you. If it wasn't for your fire we could've been killed by now.

Actions- it is getting late but of course you have a nice bright beacon going.

Seeing the others  Approach, he  grins  just a bit, found  some  really big spiders here.....We  may as well camp here tonight...I want to search the lair, when the fire is done...i  am thinking, no creatures   will bother us  this  night....maybe Humans...but  ...that will be thier ill luck, should they try...

"Spiders?" Maki says, sounding quite suprised. "You had to torch half the forest down just for a few spiders?"

Watching fire for a bit he adds. "Well i wouldn't stay too close to the fire even though it might seem tempting. And we'll need to keep an eye on it during the night. Should the winds change it could grow stronger."

I'm thinking we should move away from it and keep upwind if possible. Maybe put water between it and us.

In reply to Kree Quickshadow (msg # 621):

Yenchew looks at the blaze, good job, though it does look to be spreading.  Turns to Maki, yes if the wind get's stronger and blows our way we are doomed.  Fire is one we do not want to mes with with a grin.  Points to the spiders carcasses, true there might be loot in there but it will be a few day before this cools.  Cliar chirps up, wisdom tells me, this place will attract both animal and intelligent creatures but I would hope not too soon.  Though if I were the Orcs, I would send a scouting party here if they are of strenhgth and see what happened.

We should move some place ...  safer.

"I agree compleately." Maki said and nods. "Let's move a bit away... the place where we wanted to camp first isn't too far away, but should be out of the way enough for us to be safe."

In reply to Bruga Honeyfinder (msg # 626):

Do you leave Kree behind?  if so, those who go make it back to the original camp site.  The fire still burns brightly.  Do you keep this camp site or find another location?

Kree, it will be hot at least till morning if the winds do not change before you could attempt to tread upon the burnt ground.

Do you wait till morning?

Everyone roll a d20 at camp for watches

Kree if you stay roll a d20 per watch time frame else just 1 d20.   Same for any who stay with Kree.

Re: On the road yet again

Kree will stay about an hour...he  will back off into what  cover he can find, trusting in the heat of the fire to hide his  body heat from creatures with night vision.

once he  has  waited, if nothing seems to  'check out' the fire, he will move  slowly back to his comrades...giving them a soft warning when he is close enough.

03:24, Today: Kree Quickshadow rolled 14 using 1d20.

Re: On the road yet again

Senuviel follows the others but then stops, rolls his eyes and sighs as he tells the others. You go on, I'll stay and keep an eye on Kree. I promise we'll be back in 1 hour or so.  The fighter/mage returns to the burned site and as Kreee does, keeps to the shadows near his friend. I told them we would return in about one hour or so.

OOC:09:48, Today: Senuviel Alantir rolled 17 using 1d20. First watch.

Re: On the road yet again

Kree nods  and Give  Senuviel a smile,Aye..an Hour is good....if there is somethink close enough to come lookingat the fire...we should see or hear them by then..if not...we;ll be able to come back in the morning and try and sift through some of the ashes....There is no deam human...or humaniod meat in the flames, unless they were cocooned...if they were?..good chance the smell will not be strong, sicne the  Spiders would have  drained them....without the smell of 'food'..i do not thing too many Orcs  or Goblins would dare checking out a Blaze this big....

Still?..we  keep to cover...let the heat of the fire  mask out own heat and wait for a bit...you never know...we make get some fool scout come up here...and  I can have a chat with him....

In reply to Kree Quickshadow (msg # 632):

Within the first hour everybody feels the fear of death, no not exactly death but dragon fear, not strong enough to make your save, but dang you know a dragon flow above, possible high above but kept going (you hope).

The remaining night nothing happens.

Dawn breaks to a huge fire still raging now further away from the group.  The wind must have changed but away from the group.

The air seems to be filled with a haze from the fire and there seems to be a lot of animals scurrying still.  Mainly small rodents and slower moving night animals driven from the flames.

Bruga rises, learns he has slept through the night, and apologizes for his failure. He helps pick up and is ready to go after Kree. That animals are still fleeing worries me, but...he shrugs his shoulders.

Kree heads back to the scene of the fire -
The area is still a hot bed, you can not enter the area you guess for another day a least.  There must have been some heavy amounts of material below the pine needle bed to make it this hot Kree thinks.  Of course the potential for a flash back of the fire line does filter into Kree's mind.  nothing else happening at the base of the fire.

Kree Actinons?

The rest of the group after waking Bruga and cleaning the camp heads toward the fire base too.   There are still a few small animals that you can see scurry by (Mice, Moles, Voles, turtles, a snake or two plus some other animals you only hear through the brush.
