Taking a few seconds to breath and look around in order to organize his strategies, Senuviel joins Kree and grinning says to his fellow elven friend:

Senuviel joins Kree in the line of defense, hacking and slashing at any orc who dares come around him.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Hearing the voice of the cute elf caused her knees to feel like they were about to give out. The confusion she felt overwhelmed her for a half second. One the one hand the sudden appearance of the darkelf scared her, on the other hand the cute elf had noticed her even though he'd been fighting the orcs.

However the split second passed and the giddy side of her was barely contained as she practically skipped to join up with Kree and the others forgetting the Dark elf in the mist. With an excited high pitched voice she replies "oh yes good sir, I'm with you!"

She stays behind the warrior of the group as it is clear she lacks any type of protection. Her big lavender eyes blinking dreamily as she smiles at Kree, lost in the moment.

"If you'll always start an introduction like that, i think no one else will ever join us." Maki said, looking at Senuviel as he reaches them as well.

With his shield he is still in somewhat defensive position, looking at where an enemy might come from again.

Almost out of habit, he tries to locate any evil auras around them. They didn't know the newcomers...and it could always be a trap of some kind.

OOC: Maki detects evil. He does look at Sila and Amarisa

Re: on the hunt for slavers

The look of rejection hit the water filled wide eyed young girl as if she had been hit with a physical weapon, as she head the harsh words and treats. Even her physical posture showed the torment she felt. With her eyes cast down she begins sobbing as she starts to weakly reply; "Have I not pro...." but Maki commit cuts her short as he joined them, and bringing a slight smile of hope, but does nothing to change her posture.

Sila helped get Yenchew to his feet, "Hope you are feeling better now.". She then looked to the others, "I realize that there isn't time for a formal introductions, I'm Sila a Skyweaver of the Goddess Isis." She offered open hands with her palms facing inward and finger outward as a sign of friendship to the other.  For any that looked at her wrist they are able to still  visibly see rope marks on her wrist.

(OOC: Sila checks out as non-evil, even thought she has pointed ears and skin as dark as a drow.  Her hair is a golden brown.)

Not noticing anyone evil around anymore, Maki speaks "All is clear at least as far as i can detect enemy presence. We should check the camp out, there might be someone in need of rescuing. Where did you two come from anyways? If you escaped from the orcs, we could use any intel you might have." He asked.

OOC: It is in the middle of the night, so visibility is bad.

"I was the only one in the last of the three wagons, I was blind folded and gaged for most all of the time.  I could occasionally hear voices, What I did hear was talk of selling the prisoner off as slaves and what they planned to do with that money.  I was going to bring them a high price on the market.  So helping to bring them down suits me just fine, besides they confiscated all of my gear.  I may be able to recover some of what they haven't already squandered."  Sila paused to let the others take in the news.  She looked over in Amarisa direction, and then at the other elves in party awaiting something.

In reply to Sila Thorton Duskmantle (msg # 235):

Sorry back for a moment,

The Orcs all retreat cutting free the few entangled.   there are 6 orcs rushing back to the 3 wagons that are now moving slowly off.

Those paying attention will note the Two Orc Leaders skirt off into the Dark.

Yenchew awakens and at first allows anyone to help him up but then once he sees who is about he starts.

Who who are you, Sila?    Looks to Clair, then slowly moves to her side.  Eyeing the other newcomer Amarisa, another.  looks to the group then ponts to the wagons, we letting them go?  Bruga nay be there prisoner now.   Obviously to hurt to go after them alone (he would the group knows) Yenchew awaits the groups decisions.

OOC - No Evil you can detect.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Still observing the battlefield, Senuviel gives the party a worried look as he says while deep breathing: Has anyone noticed the big orcs moving into darkness? Although I share your preocupations, my friend, says Senuviel to Yenchew the wagons seem to be moving slowly, too slowly I think. They might be trying to force us to give chase and then retaliate. Looks at Kree. Your eyes are kinner then mine for such things, Kree, what do you think? The elf then looks at Maki. What do you think, Maki? The warrior/wizard continues on his strategic thoughts without taking much heed on the newcomers for the time being. Whether Bruga had been made prisoner or not, it's not prudent just charge the enemy now. They have the upper hand on knowledge of this terrain. They might have been here other times, I'm bruised and wary and too many things are fastly happening at the same time. I wouldn't risk being ambushed now. We can chase them at any time now. Those wagons seem heavy and akward, they might be easily tracked down. Do whatever you need to do, I'll keep watch. I don't trust those orcs. Saying this, Senuviel walks to the place where he had left his bow, takes it, knocks an arrow to it and keeps his watch on where the chief orcs have entered the darkness. And please, keep an eye open on the half-breen, will ya? Maki may have not detected any evil on her but she's drow anyway and the last holy people that joined us, except the big paladin here, stabbed us on our backs.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Kree   Looks at His  Blade and wipes off , what blood there is on it, in the Grass.
He sheaths  His weapon as  Senuviel speaks ,  all the while his eyes are on the  New comers.  Taking his Bow  from His shoulder and Giving it a  spin, he walks over to the two new folks. His  Smile is friendly enough, but still comes off a bit stern, until it grow a bit  and his teeth show some ease in his being.

Well Met....  He Offers His hand in a warrior's Greeting, I am Kree...Qucikshadow, Late of the RAzorhawk Clan ....I am a Hunter...I seek out  Slavers and those who aid them, and...most things of Darkness, These are  My comrades, who have fought the same since we came togther... he Points  with His Bow to them as he says their  names,..Clair...Snare, Yenchew..Maki..Dixon is  new to the group...and My Closest of  friends  Senuviel... Our  comrade Bruga is the one who  aided you  in your Escape....

His eyes  pick up on the Rope Burns as he nods to Sila,..My people have  fought  clans  of  your Dark cousins more then once...we have also allowed those  of   Goodly nature to pass through our forests...I i am not  mistaken , there is  a small clan some miles to the South of  My Village...They worship ellistrae ( sp)..I believe..and a few have  aided  my people in attacks on slaver camps...

To Amarisa she  smiles and Give a bit of a Bow, As  the Drowess gave timely aid to Yenchew ...Your aid  by spell helped turn the tide...You have My thanks...and  you too, are welcome to  come with us, should you feel the urge?  his smile grows a bit  wider, But it  fAdes  as  He turns back to Senuviel, speaking to him, but for all to hear,

..At worst, Bruga  is dead...and we can do nothing...if you think back on other  battles we have had, I feel the fellow  is  still hidden out there, doing what he can, for all we know? He may have  even Cut the  harnesses on the  horses..a favored  tactic  of ours to slow down..or even stop the   slavers  from getting away with thier...'goods'

Turning back to the Others   as he stands  a few feet behind  Senuviel,Unless  we were dead...the wagons cannot escape us.... we can trail the wagons, and a Blind farmer  could  track them...I also think, if he is  not harrassing the  group, Bruga  will make certain we are able to track them....so it comes to this...

He turns  back and Points to where the Orcs were last seen,..if they  intent to attack us...they will have split up, perhaps with a few men at arms, to try to catch us in an ambush....the other thought is, they are runnign away to speak with thier MAsters, over the loss of thier goods? This will have been the second shipment, in a few days, they have lost to us....it is not going to make  the evil folks  happy... As he says the last part a grin spreads across his face.

The smile stays, but his voice is just a bit somber,  Maki, and Senuviel have said it...we .....dislike....betrayal. We had  2 Holy warriros  with us once, the fools  turned us  in to the local watch, because of   some...rather...less-then-legal things...we had  done , or were going to do.. One is Missing, I assume those we hunted took her...the other did a foolish death..I am thinking Tymora or Beshaba handed him that reward for his betrayal. The Goal here is to stop the slavers, whether we kill one at a time, scores of them, or wipe out a compound...we...try..to free or save as many slaves as we are able, sometimes...we fail.   he shrugs,The end goal is important, any good we can do between here and there, The sisters will smile on us for that...

he levels   his gaze at the two women,so? there you have it...if it is something you can  do...that you wish to do? You are welcome to join. after your experience, none here would think the lesser of you, should you decline...

..everyone?  check  your wounds... we will MOve on this  side of the PAth, but well within the trees..Just enough to keep the wagons in view, but we will watch out  backs. Our friend who cast spells   Must rest..or pray..we will do that and try to  keep up witht he wagons, and Guard from the orcs.

Maki shrugged. "Drow or anyone else... to me it makes little difference. I only care if Pelor tells me the person is evil. Although i believe the laws of the land should be obeyed, i can look the other way if it really serves a higher purpose. There have been cases, where laws were written by corrupted nobels or politicians. I guess that's why I could get along with this group of slaver hunters without any problems. At least for now." He smilled,
"My name is Maki by the way. Nice to see Bruga did something right. And i agree with Senuviel. We caused them quite a bit of loses lately. We need to be careful, and if you travel with us you should be able to hold your own ground in a battle. While i do believe they ran because they thought they were outnumbered, i don't think we'll catch them of guard again like this. But we did reduce their numbers considerably..." he thought out loud.
"We should definately follow them, as there's more slaves that need freeing. But i'd like to go over to the camp, just to check if there are any signs of battle or struggle there."

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Wide eyed she instinctively moves away from the approaching dark elf using the others as a barrier. Despite her keeping her hands open she did not trust her. Drow priestess had spells to. An a spy could easily play the good guy, girl. Her shock was clear on her face as Kree shook her hands and welcomed her to the group.

However the thought was lost as soon as he bowed and gave her praise. She returned his bow and when he smiled at her she blushed and smiled in an almost dream like state. And she had to bite her lower lip to contain herself when he extended the offer to her to join their group. Suddenly sadness over took the happy expression. She turned her head away from the others.

She listened to the others respectively before composing herself and speaking. With a wide sweeping bow to the group at large with a big warm smile. "My name is Amarisa the red heart." Twirling sending small colorful sparkling lights that fizzle from her fingers as she spins. She stops placing her hands on her waist and her expression becomes stern; "I have no love for the slavers or the nasty orcs. If I don't agree with what you are doing, I'll go do something else. As is a mages right. I do not betray my friends"

spinning around yet again she smiles once more. "I want equal amount of time with any spells we find and a equal share of any other treasure we acquire. Do we have a deal?"

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Afterv Amerisa speak, The elf says with a bit  of a smile,We have not had much in the way of Loot  during our  travels. We stand on  an agreement that Coins and such are split  even amounst us..Weapons, Magic and spellcraft, we will allow those  who can use it the best, to take it. As far as sharing  of spells..or perhaps  scrolls and such. That would be up to the  one whom it is awarded.. Thought i do not know spell craft, I assume that once one copies it into a book, You would be able to share its  contents.

Now, since  most folk here think it wise, we share approach the Camp, see what we may find in the way of Loot, and information. Any slaves, we free..if possible, arm them  with weapons of the dead.... Then we destroy what  tents  and such might be there..take what sup0p0lies we can use.....Any Dead  there...take there heads  and we will burn them, we need not fight them againb as Undead....seems to be a popular tool of late, to use the dead against towns or settlements.

I will take the Left flank, Senuviel the right, the rest, stay together to protect... as we Move out..check the Dead for anything of use....

Noddingto Senuviel he moves off to the Left, Stopping at the   orcs they cut  down..he will search them quickly, take anything of use, then  use his  hawkshead-hilted  blade to cut the head  from the Body,...he tosses  each head  as  far , towards the  Camp as he is able, then  moves on with his Bow ready.

Senuviel watches all the presentations patiently and quietly, as it is usual for him on a first contact with strangers. Only after all the newcomers have made their acquaitance, the elf speaks in a polite but straight to the point tone.

Hail! I am Senuviel of the Alantir clan, warrior and arcane arts devotee, freer of slaves and slayer of orcs, be sure we'll share magic evenly as long as you remain loyal to this band and be sure there'll be plenty for any of us, for I myself enjoy mostly the spells that are usable in direct and face to face combat as well as those who hinder or enhance speed and improve melee combat. I have a book in my possession that has been acquired from the sorry carcass of a slaving agent, I've already overcome its protective charms as well as translated its content, you are welcome to give it a look as soon as time allows. For the time being, let's hunt some slaver filth.

He then nods at Kree's command, Aye! bow and arrow in one hand, long sword sheathed on his hip, shield and his gigantic 2 handed sword on his back, the warrior/mage takes the right flank and does the gruesome beheading ritual with the enemy bodies he finds.

Her ill feeling for Senuviel vanished the moment he offered the chance to study the captured spell book. Her excitement overwhelmed her and she actually jumps up and down giggling as she clapped her hands dropping her staff. She squealed in delight; "Oh yes!"

After several long seconds she calms down, reaches down and grabs her staff and hurries to catch up with the others. Trying to stay behind them and as close to the center as possible. She whispers to Kree and any who might be close enough to hear; "Hey, this maybe bad timing, but I used up all my combat spells already. I need to rest and study soon, if we are Gonne hunt them down." she gives a half smile and clutches her staff with both hands.

"Hey do you think its possible to talk with dead loved ones in dreams?" she mused aloud to no one in particular. She stays close to the center of the group while trying to watch were Sila was.
