Re: on the hunt for slavers

Sila was new to the group and was good with the decision to remain and check out the camp, there was always hope that some of her stuff had gotten left behind in the slavers haste to leave the area.

She made no attempt to try and force any confrontation with Amarisa, as they were both she new to the group and she noticed that she was obviously uneasy about Sila's presence a conflict between them would likely get them both booted. She was thankful that most of the others seemed at least be neutral to her.  It would take time to gain their trust she reminded herself.

(OOC: in favor of Kree course of action)

Re: on the hunt for slavers

As she listens to the decision to investigate the slavers camp and deal with the bodies of the dead, Amarisa voices her agreement. And will search the camp trying to avoid touching the revolting dead bodies. Making faces of disgust whenever she does have to. She will not openly complain but she is all to happy when they are done.

Walking up to Kree, she softly speaks; "Kree are you the group leader?" she asked. "so you know, I can a detect magic on anything that the group finds before I rest and study."

"What? I always though Clair was the leader here. We don't listen to you half as much as you think." Maki said in his jolly fashion. "I don't think we ever listen to Bruga, at least without getting into trouble or wonder the woods for days. So it would only leave us with Senuviel as another possibility. But i think he's too strict to newcommers. If he was the leader eventualy he'd be all by himself."

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Sila helped check out the vacated camp site, looking for any tell tale signs of Bruga.  She seemed to have no interest in talk of group leader, instead she checked each of the fallen.  She paused over each one of them and saying a quick prayer for each.  She was still trying to get her bearings, "I'm curious to know, How long have you been tracking this group of slavers?  Are there any nearby towns are villages that they could be heading to?  Have you lost any of your friends?  When would we be planning on continuing on after the slavers?  If it is to be a little while, can spend some time on mediation to regain some spells"

Sila cast another healing spell upon Yenchew as he appeared to be the one that was still in the most need of healing.

12:27, Today: Sila Thorton Duskmantle rolled 3 using 1d8. healing for Yenchew.

Kree Grins  at Maki,...I suppose you are right..even Snare listens to Clair!...Now?..lets  finish up this  camp, we'll set fire to what we cannot  take, or do not what to leave behind for the slavers, then we shall move on, to find our  camp...

As he says  this, He Moves to thelast of  the dead foes  and  takes  its head  , Kicking the head  as far as he  can, from the body. After wiping off the  blade on the dead fellow's  clothes, he sheaths his blade and  has his Bow in his  left hand, searching Bodies and such, are there any tents  still up?

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Senuviel shrugs at Maki's words and answers Sila's quetions as he rests a bit, arms crossed on the hilt of his gigantic sword which is firmly planted on the ground. We've been chasing and hunting slavers for a while now, ins fact, our very first mission together was meant for us to serve as guards of a caravan, one we found out to be a slaver wagon as soon as we left our hometown, Lotan, we dealt with the slavers, saved the people and got a new companion, Snare, who was locked in the wagon as well. The elf points to the dog. We then chased and tried to eliminate the one who first hired us, an elf named Astar. Senuviel spits. A traitor of his own race...well...we tried to chase him, found some clues, crossed swords with his agents but we were betrayed by our holy warriors an then we immersed in a wild and strange adventure which we were able to deal with and then return to our usual business: bring freedom to the poor people who can't raise arms against this filthy slavers. So, if you want to help people, you're welcome, as long as you remain loyal to our cause. The warrior/mage then returns to his grim job.

In reply to Senuviel Alantir (msg # 262):

Smiling and blushing a bit from the acknowledgement that she is is the defacto' party leader or at least the one who helps make most of the decision Clair sits down on a patch of clean grass.  Yes, Senuviel has it right, we have been through a lot, even dealt with some odd magical ring freeing some Gypsies too.

We all came out of Lotan looks at Kree and Senuviel we knew each other near say a couple oif years before we joined as a group.  Bruga, looks toward the retreating wagons also was one of the orginal's.  Miki joined us after a bad spell with some other members who made some odd choices.  Lady Luck was not on thier side that day.

Yenchew came to be with us while we had a side adventure that was crazy.  We had some Dwarf friends but lost them when they did not resurface  from that said adventure.

Pets Snare who has come and sat down besides her.  Snare - he is a part of our group to, smarter then you think.

We ran into Elric while out chasing these guys then Dixon and now Sila and Amerisa you two from this day.

Looks to Kree and his actions.   Kree is our dedicated hunter, glad I am not against him, fear not about his actions, we ran into undead and he likes to cleanse the bodies and leave a message for other slavers.

I would have liked to chase down those wagons and finished the job sigh but right now i am for locating Bruga - he is missing.

Go ahead and search the camp area, I'll take Snare and see if we can find Bruga's scent - Clair get's up and pulls out a cloth or napkin obvious from Bruga and let's Snare siff it.  then sets out walking the camp with Snare....

Yup, Clair was the guide/defacto leader of the group before said Player took over DMing.  I have kept her laid back letting the rest make decisions with her only helping as needed.  Playing Clair NPC style.  i never retired her as the original DM might come back to retake the rains for a bit - never know - but it is good to have an NPC to run still with the group.  And Lady Luck never let's you down :)

Turning her nose up to the thought of touching anything the orcs may have touched, let alone used, Amarisa politely passes on the loot after she cast detect magic on the collected goods.

If anything grows with magical energy passes that information on to the others, before she skips off humming a elven love song and finds a place to rest and meditate smiling to herself as she does.

"Well the rations are perfectly edible." Maki remarks. "So i'll take as many as i can. The weapons are nothing special, and a bit too heavy to drag along without a wagon, so we can throw those into the fire, for all i care. What you do with the wine is up to you. I care little for it."

"Orc or not the long swords would fetch a fair amount of coins at the market, would anyone object to stashing them in a nearby concealed area, that we could possibly pick them up later when we pass back this way."

Sila will take several days worth of rations as she really didn't have a whole lot of things to speak of at the moment

Kree  listened to Sila  and shrugged,we have  done  this more then once. It would be fine, should  be able to recover them. But  we risk allowing them to rearm, if they fit the  hiding spot. The last group of slaves we freed, we armed and told them to sell what they could, so they could make thier  way back to thier Families...

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Focuses on breathing she whispers to herself; "in" as she draws a deep breath. "Out. In, out." her mind slips into thought of the two elf warriors cutting down the orcs. The grace in their movements, the skill of their actions. Again she  Whispers to herself; "breath, in." Again drawing a deep breath in. "Out." She looks at Silas who is talking to Kree, feeling a sudden rush of anger flow through her. Her eyes narrow as she studies her, looking at her body and suddenly comparing herself to the half elf drow.

Unable to contain her emotions she screams in a high pitched screech. "AAAhhhhhh!" As she jumps up.

Still screaming in her head "Why is this happening to me!" She walks off keeping the group insight but trying to fight through her emotions. Why would she be jealous of a half elf drow. A course she was prettier than a half elf drow! The craziness of her thoughts driving her crazy. Why did the Orcs have to kill her master? She could be sitting in the study learning more magic and sitting by a fire where its warm and eating good food, and ..... her thoughts once again goes the battle of earlier.  She kicks a rock. Falling down clutching her foot. "Dam it." with that she sobs. The death of her master, his servant and her friend finally catching up to her.

Turning to look at Maki, she tries to smile, but it was clearly forced. Her voice soft and slightly broken as she replied between sobs. "I stubbed my toe." she was not Gonna tell him the truth. She did not understand what it was herself. She continued between sobs "I was not a prisoner, I have all my gear. I just need to study my spells." she wiped the tears from her eyes as she stood up.
