Re: on the hunt for slavers

Senuviel walks towards where the group is reunited. I’m Senuviel Alantir, and I’ve been facing those slaverswith my good friends Kree, Claire and Bruga since our first meeting. Welcome, I hope we can help each other getting rid of this filth of slavery.

In reply to Bruga Honeyfinder (msg # 78):

Yenchew just smiles, Greetings Dixon, welcome.   then moves off to help at point.

The trail is obviously moving toward the mountian area the group is heading for.

As dark approaches, you see camp fires ahead.  about 6 different ones.

You are too far away to get a good read on things bu you think you see 3 wagons circles near 2 of the fires, and furtehr to the side is a line of horses 6 total.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

unless someone  wants  an item, Kree won't take any.

as they come up  and see the  fires in the distance, Kree  keeps his Voice  low  as he  waves the others in.

..There is  a good chance, there are  slaves   with this group. They should be tied, much like the horse, away from the wagons  , until morining.. The Darkness and surprise  is in our favor...the campfires as well..they will light up those in the  area, while hindering them from seeing us...as long  as we do not  get too close.

What we need to do, is  set fire  to teh wagons...it will destroy there way of moving thier....goods....and cost them a bit of coin in the process....while they try to Put out the fire, those of us  with bows and such can attack from outside the fire's Light..Killign those who try to put out the fires....They will send a scout or two into the trees,, those who are not using  bows and such, can meet them, and take them down

he looks to Bruga, while the 9 hells  are raises, you can  try and reach the  slaves...either  Cutting the ropes, or Picking the locks, if they are shackled...

then he  looks around  and asks, who here has  spells of fire? My arrows  may start a fire, but we cannot be sure.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

While setting out on the trail Dixon warmly meets each adventurer and explains that he has practiced the arts of magic for nearly all of his life.

Approaching the camp fires Dixon falls in to Kree's position and adds, "Those three wagons are most likely the caravan taken from my group by the Orcs so there will at least be the three drivers and the priest if they have not been killed. I care not for the wagons and agree that a fire would make for a good distraction. I am of the magical type but unfortunately I don't posses any spells of fire... But I can cast a spell of invisibility if you think it would benefit this situation." Then he gives a cunning smile.

Kree nods,It would , Indeed. It will be wasted one me, as My arrows  glow once fired, so i will have to shoot and move.. One of the others..or Perhaps Burga, can use that to a better advantage..."

Re: on the hunt for slavers

"Invisibility might be very handy indeed. Someone could take a better look, before we set fire just in case we don't catch the priest or one of the drivers in it. Causing a commotion is probably our best bet. If all of them search us and try to deal with us, we might get overwhelmed.

My suggestion is as follows: We split in two groups. Bruga, Dixon, Senuviel and Yenchew one group, the rest second group. Bruga goes to scout out, and Senuviel sets the fires if it is safe. That will be out sign for all to attack. One group from the south, the other from the west. We stick to range weapons as much as possible. This way we might confuse them a bit more and we'll be still close enough to aid one another if needed. If too many come at us we retreat so we might make a new plan."
Maki said, while already prepairing his crossbow for the attack.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Odds of one to eight or so...welcome to the party, Master Bainbridge. If we retreat, we meet here. Create confusion, fire the wagons, try to free the slaves, and...my contribution...free the horses. Lady Beshaba, please bless our foes...I promise a gift at a temple of Yours...pardon the bribery. Tymora, please bless our side...I promise the same to You. And pardon me both of You. I'm just a scared halfling.

Elric grunts his agreement, "Its a good plan, I am also able to move about stealthily and might be able to get the horses out of there with minimal nose if that would be helpful? My vision is also adapt at night. However I am not might of a warrior at range. I will go with the wisdom of the group, I have also prayed for a spell that could make someone or thing glow in a very eerie light."

"Very good, Bruga and Senuviel I can cast my invisibility spell on each of you if you would like to go in to scout and start the fires. I should stay back a few hundred feet, don't think I will be very much help up there but if things get messy I will assist."

Kree Listens  and  Nods, his eyes  going to each as they speak,alright...I will start Moving  to the farside of the wagons...once i see flames, I will fire at  anyone who looks like a guard or slaver...

he  Points with his Bow to his comrades,do not  worry, overly much, about the horses....if things go badly, then cut  the ropes  and  scare them off...if things  go well, we , or the slaves, might be able to use them...

As he makes ready to  slip into the darkness he grins at Bruga, ...Maid Of Misfourtune, kiss our foes....Lady Luck..Guide  our shafts...

he will  flow into the darkness to  find a goodly place to bring death...

Dixon will cast invisibility on both Bruga and Senuviel if they let him, and says, If I do not see flames or we must retreat I will run to this spot." Then he will split up and follow his group quietly staying a few steps behind Yenchew.

Bruga gratefully accepts. He sheathes his daggers and gets out his "locksmith's" tools. I'm to the prisoners he whispers...and that's the last of
Bruga you know about for a while.

"Good luck." Maki said after saying a short prayer. With his group he slowly moved into position to attack the camp. He will be roughly 60ft away from the wagons, waiting with his crossbow loaded behind a tree or a rock.
