Re: on the hunt for slavers

In reply to Bruga Honeyfinder (msg # 102):

Bruga and Senuvial disappear inviso like while Dixon and Yenchew advance on the wagon area.  Kree, Maki, Clair and Elric moves off to the other side.

Dixon and Yenchew, you stop close but not to close to the camp area, No sign of the other group and after a bit all is actually quiet.

Kree, Maki, Clair and Elric, you move close to the wagons on the opposite side of the other group and move in some, Elric steps over a trap, alarm snare but does not set it off, Elric can trace the line to an Orc sitting watching out, oddly he has not seen you all though Maki has made a little bit of noise in his armor.  Your group stops at the trap line.   Maybe there is another 2 Orcs in guard positions Kree thinks but No activity near the wagons yet.

Bruga and Senuviel PM'd cause they are inviso

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Kree looks sternly in Elric's dirction, then settles in to watch the  Orcs... Not having to nock an arrow  saves him some time and helps him keep his movbes  graceful.

He will look for more traps, signaling the others to stay with Elric..he will move slowly and quietly , until he is sure he has a decent target, for when the distraction starts...

Maki holds his position with his crossbow ready. He waits for the commotion to start, and looks around to where the nearest guard might be.

Dixon kneels down next to Yenchew behind a bush or cover if possible, waiting for any sign of action to begin.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

Senuviel returns to where Dixon and Yenchew are, the elf gently whispers: Keep quiet, I'm right behind you. The thing is more complicated than we've thought. There  are 4 orc guards on this side and about for orcs per camp fire sleeping. There are also 2 heavily armored men sleeping and 3 light armored men also sleeping  who look like pretty tough on my account. There's no one in the wagons and no signs of the priest nor the wagon driver you told us about, Dixon. Where are the others? I think we should regroup and plan better. We're far outnumbered. This incursion is going to be a tough one. I'll go fetch Kree and Maki so we can decide what to do.

The elf then moves as quiet as he can towards where Maki and Kree are.

"Oh my, I will head back to the spot where we devised this plan and wait for you all."
Dixon will quietly make his way back to the rendezvous spot, looking back to make sure Yenchew is following.

In reply to Dixon Bainbridge (msg # 110):

As Dixon heads back and you guess Senuviel move off you all notice the Orc guards make a shift but not all at once, irregular timed moves like a well organized army would do, surprising what you thought you knew about Orcs.  They seem to be well organized and smart.

Dixon and Senuviel roll a D100 and D20  -  Yenchew stays put, whispers, I will wait out a bit this is new to me what they are doing, organization it worries me.

watching the shift change, the elf  Nods his head slowly, then shakes it. They must be getting near the boss...or perhaps, some customers. These guards  seemed trained, and not common  Sell swords.

Re: on the hunt for slavers

In reply to Dixon Bainbridge (msg # 114):

As the group watches, all of a sudden the horses chitter and move about acting all spooked.  One of the leather clad men moves to them while teh two chain mail ones are up and one has his sword out.

The Orc guards over there are now very interested in the hourses.

Or course Dixon, you seemd to have made noise like a twig snapping as you walked.  another Orc guard spins in your direction looking about.

Dixxon, roll another D100.

I seems the Orcs are jumpy this night.

Actions?

Yenchew and Clair lay flat on the ground as does snare.

Kree will bring his bow slowly up, but will not  draw it,because of the Glowing shafts.

He will wait, if an Orc  deciedes to come out towards   Dixon and the others, he  will wait and try to get a good surprise shaft into it.

Upon hearing a twig snap under Dixon's step, he immediately attempts to lower himself out of the Orc's vision.

In reply to Senuviel Alantir (msg # 119):

The one human in leather moves toward a section near the horses and seems to pause a moment as he is looking at the horses -

An Orc guard grunts and another reply's with a grunt.   Two Orcs unseen by the group emerge from between the wagons and in guttural Orcish tongue bark orders pointing to the man in Leather by the horses.
