Re: The Orc Leaders camp

Bruga takes out a coin, says May it please You Ladies, Beshaba and Tymora, bad luck to our foes and good luck to us, and flips it high (so it appears), and calls Heads, road; tails, trees. The coin lands and the group sees that it's Heads. After a bit, the coin disappears, taken up by Bruga.

9:25, Today: Bruga Honeyfinder rolled 1 using 1d2. 1 Heads, 2 Tails.

"Well the road it is then. At least we'll see if it is safe for travelers to venture here." Maki comments. Then grinns. "And if it's not, we'll make it safe."

Re: The Orc Leaders camp

In reply to Maki (msg # 160):

Assuming the road is chosen at least for the remainder of the days travel - the group follows it noting that at time it intersects smaller branches, crosses or fords streams or larger brooks and in some places looks possibly recently used or places of heavier traffic.  The road did look like it was maintained at some juncture too while other areas it was all slop and overgrown.  The tree line stayed with the road but nothing or no one appeared as the group traveled.  No new or fresh tracks are found.

It is now dusk, time to find a camp.

The group can press on into the night or look for a good spot.

Actions?

If  they cab see a branch that breaks  down towards a brook or stream. Kree will suggest they go off road  can camp there.

if they cannot find one, he will suggest they go off into the trees  until they find a decent place that is covered from the road.

Re: The Orc Leaders camp

Sila has little to offer in the way camping for the group as they seem way more travel ready than she does.

Sila will help with setting up camp and then cast a few spells before resting to regain spent spells   "I have a few healing spells to offer if there is anyone still in need of healing"

They were disturbed during nights too often, for this group to camp in the open.

"I suggest two people keep watch during the night. We get too many visitors lately." Maki said, as they set the camp for the night.

In reply to Maki (msg # 164):

the group chooses a more secluded spot out of the way to rest for the night.

Clair and Elric cast their cures and heal up the group completely if any needed it.

warm but good Food was prepared by a dim cook fire with little smoke nor flame.  the night life comes to life with a visit by a bat, that enjoyed the bugs low light attracted, an owl swooped by and crickets out the galore chirped.

As always, everyone roll a D20 to see what the night brings

Being invisible has its advantages and disadvantages...and its funny aspects. Whatever loses contact with Bruga's body and carried possessions becomes visible.

Re: The Orc Leaders camp

Senuviel stows his magical ring in a safe pocket on his belt pouch saying to himself Better keep this for an emergency. The elf then wraps himself in his cloak and approaches the fire.

I’d be glad if I could get a full night of sleep so I can prepare my spells in the morrow and study these leather cloaks. He then looks at his elven comrade. I guess you could indulge yourself a good night’s sleep, Kree…get some rest, you’ve been leading us a lot and resting a little, give your legs and bow some rest, will ya, my friend? Saying this, the warrior/wizard eats and drinks and chats with his comrades in arms until he feels it’s time for bedroll.

<red>OOC: 14:03, Today: Senuviel Alantir rolled 3 using 1d20. A good night’s sleep.

Sleepy, sleepy!!<red>

Having fallen slightly behind the group, Amarisa smiles as she sits down next to the fire and begins to warm herself. She studies the cloak looking for the level of craftsmanship. She looks at the group and apologizes for falling behind.

She then begins to meditate so she can memorize new spells for the following days.

In reply to Amarisa (msg # 171):

A cooler (no not full of beer) night settles in.  the rain has passed and made the fresh smell of a forest high on everyone enjoyment list.

The night passes without indecent, though the DM wished there was some fireworks to liven up the place but well July 4th for us Yanks will bring the fire raining down in due time but back on the subject.  nothing unusual happens tonight though Amarisa comes out of her "NPC" funk near bed time.  Bruga you hear every now an then yelp, Bruga coming through do not step on me please.

The morning brings a warm fresh day and riders heading for the group weaving through the woods, mounted on what appears to be goats short long legged humanoids all hooded up, 6 of them to be exact.

OOC: Maki attempts to detect evil. Outcome will determine what kind of tone he will use.

He raises his right hand, for the humanoids to stop. His left rests on the hilt of his sword.

Senuviel nocks an arrow to his bow but keeps it lowered, the elf stand on Maki’s right, slightly behind the paladin about 2 feet or so, his keen elven eyes searching for any signs of a trap or ambush.
