Re: The Orc Leaders camp

In reply to Sila Thorton Duskmantle (msg # 178):

the riders stop about 50 yards out, one grunts and moves closer, the heavy cloak now conceals his features though you guess he/or/she is about 4' tall and 100 lbs but the goat looks larger then most so you could be off.

The spear was raised but still in it's hand as it stops looking at maki though you can not see it's face.  the goats eyes swirl like it is either crazed or .... and paws the ground waiting ....

Maki senses no Evil and the other 5 are not bunched up but spread out in a defensive pattern - you do put number them.

Maki slowly turns around to his friends. "Relax, guys. I don't sense any evil in them."

When he turns back to face the newcomer that came closer, he removes the hand from the hilt of his weapon. He speaks calmly and with confidance. "Greetings travelers. Who are you, and what is your business here, in this wilderness?"

In reply to Maki (msg # 182):

The group hears something crash down out of a nearby tree and some Bruga like growls and language

The one approached but did not flinch with the sound.

Still staring at Maki - then the group on goats shift in unison and head out toward the road heading the way you came.

Re: The Orc Leaders camp

Kree speaks up, His  voice is stern, he tries not to sound too cold, but he does not wish to bicker, ENOUGH! YOU APPROACHED US...DECLARE WHAT YE SEEK.

he moves his  bow a bit as if the his arms  move as he speaks, But  it just made it a little faster to nock and fire, should they need too.

Senuviel keeps his bow low but his right hand reaches for the bowstring, the elf doesn’t pull it, though, he patiently waits for the things to settle.

Finishing her spell memorizing Amarisa places her book back into her bag and stands up. She then turns to watch the situation happening.

If they prove to be hostile she fires a magic missile into the one who gives any sign of leadership. either verbal or non verbal gestures.

Re: The Orc Leaders camp

"It's ok." Maki again calms his friends. "They passed down a message." He recites it again for them: "The tides have changed, your enemy that is my enemy that is everyones enemy has moved, large forces dwell still pass the mountains on the road look for ruins and forgo life to win the night."

He scratches his head. "I'm not sure what the last part means, but the first one... i guess a large force of orcs has assembled. Someone must be leading them, perhaps the slavers?"

Re: The Orc Leaders camp

Kree steps forward slowly as Maki reads the  message, his eyes  never leave the  riders , though.

..I am not well versed in riddles,..but 'forgo life to win the night?" that may mean, what we need to win this is in a tomb...and..I assume...guarded By Undead?

He calls out,...we shall seek these ruins...Have you have  anthing to aid us?

"Interesting it is still unclear who we are aiding, it would seem that we are allies of necessity.  There is a large force on the raod on the other-side of the mountain.  Could mean that we need to hide and wait out the night from this large force to continue further down the road"

Amarisa's head tilted ever so slightly as she looked at Kree, "I was gonna see if they had magic upon them." She kicks the rocks on the ground before continuing. "But I was distracted by them." She says as she points at those that had came upon thier camp.

Amarisa smiles as she glances at everyone's glowing toys. Before she looks straight at Kree. Her smile full of pride. "Yes they are magical along with a bunch of the toys each of you hold in your possession."

But her smile fades into a more serious look, as she continues; "But if you want me to know what it can do, it will require a couple of days of study as I examine each of them."
