Re: OOC thread: Into Falan!
Again I must apologize. No real excuse this week other than lack of creative energy at the times I had free time for posting. I will try to get back into the habit of posting at LEAST once a day, with more frequent postings to keep up with replies.

Thanks for your patience this past month!

We each have ups and downs, which make PbP erratic sometimes :-)

Also, sometimes writers block just gets you. That happens to me even in table top games :-P

Roll call, just to see who's still paying attention. I know I've been crappy at keeping interest engaged. I want to know who's still here so I can start trying to give them things to deal with again. >_<

I'm here! Mostly.

I have no good reason for my dearth of posing (such as a 2-month-old- congrats again on that). I've just been kind of out of it lately.

I think my character has somehow found the reincarnated soul or pre-spark solar shard of his Solar-Shards previous incarnations master.

Did that even make sense!!

That's awesome! :D

No. :|

Okay, kidding. Do you mean he's found the reincarnation/recycling of a guy he knew in a previous life? Because that would be kind of cool. It's one of those things that happens in Exalted, really.

Also, bonus points if they Exalt as a Lunar instead.

I have been doing some sub-teaching work, yard work, and grading most of my wife's papers for her classes. All in all somewhat busy. Currently I have the headache of DOOOM and a whimpering baby. I hope to get on later and post up something interesting.......

Re: OOC thread: Into Falan!
My usual tactic when I am trying to develop characters and figure out what threads to pursue is to have plenty of IC conversation, whether PC-to-PC or PC-to-NPC. This is clearly not working, as I don't respond fast enough, which causes the players to respond less often, and it spirals outward until people don't even check the game for a fortnight.

So, as I don't want the game to die, I ask of you, my players, what do you want to see happen? What can I do to pick up the pace and interest? I get the impression that part of the problem is that people aren't sure what TO respond to, so what can I do to help with that?

Do people want to continue any of the conversations in this current thread? If so, feel free. I will be putting up a new one this afternoon, as we arrive at Oredol Castle. There's one "event" planned there - for which I would like everybody to give me some Perception+Awareness rolls, with any Charms they care to use - and then we can move on to Watch Hill. No sense dragging on travel in OOC time, since not much seems to be happening there.

Please, let me know of any issues or problems you have so I can address them and try to get this game back up and running!

Okay! Thanks for the heads up.

If you still want to reply to the Traveling With Falanians thread, feel free. I have created a new one to move things along in case people are done with the Traveling one, though.

Just making a post for the sake of getting one made on the forum between sleep cycles. I want to make sure people are going to keep paying attention and not let it get forgotten again!

If somebody's EVER waiting on a post from me and I haven't provided, feel free to send me a private message letting me know what you're looking for!

Re: OOC thread: Into Falan!
Yay! Interaction!

(For future reference, lying is actually something the liar doesn't roll. He just says whatever he wants, true or false. It is a Perception+Investigation roll by somebody who wants to detect whether a person is telling the truth or not, vs. a target number determined by the liar's Manip+Socialize - I will have to look up the exact rule, but I think it's just (Manipulation+Socialize)/2 - to see if he can successfully discern truth from fiction.

Not an issue here, unless people want to continue evoking mechanics for this discussion.)

I am curious, Galen, why Manip.+Larceny here?

I had thought that Merlin was talking to Beatrix in a different room....I am not understanding that we were all in the same room with servants.

Re: OOC thread: Into Falan!
That's probably my fault; when there was no reply for a week, I thought I'd give some NPCs to interact with.

They are gone if you want them to be gone. (I have been assuming they're gone right now.)

Ah. Thank you for clarifying that for me.

The main reason I rolled it was to tease any investigation into Galen's 'peculiarities' for comical hijinks. ;P

Larceny was described as being used in con-games and to have a poker-face in gambling, so I thought that it could be applicable to lying in general.

Not really. I'd had you dealing with some serving-girls. They're gone now.

Current status: Nobody save the PCs (and Fire Soul and Ocean Soul) are present, and Poe and Hun are discussing something privately and paying only enough attention to be of service if they're needed.

In reply to Segev Stormlord (msg #51):

It is generally bad form to talk about mass murder of ones enemies in front of servants who are not in the military and used to such things. Merlin has just enough social skills to realize that talking like that in front of a bunch of maids would be not so good.

In reply to Merlin (msg #52):

I understand! There are no maids present at this time. They have left. The mention of them was ... sort of a "flash back" to about 20 min. ago, trying to set the stage for where things are now. Which is "no NPCs who would rat you out present."

well, assuming you trust Hun and Poe and don't think there are spiders in the walls...

I knew I should have added 'spider traps' to Galen's possessions on hand...

Is it cool with everyone that Galen has a bit of a Happosai influence in personal interests? (http://ranma.wikia.com/wiki/Happosai)
